Superbloom (founded as Simply Secure) operates at the intersection of digital design and human rights. Since our founding in 2014, we’ve expanded our original focus on usable design practice for secure technologies to include programmatic interventions and research on socio-technical issues like surveillance capitalism, disinformation, and digital consent. Today we work to overcome the alarming lack of available resources in the public interest technology space by openly sharing our knowledge and partnering with organizations to identify unmet needs, design for access, and extend the impact of newly built tools and interventions.

Change Who Technology Serves
Superbloom is 10! Donate to our 10th Anniversary Fundraising Campaign to change who technology serves. Superbloom’s Decade of Transforming Tech Ten years ago, we started with a bold vision: technology should work for everyone, not just the privileged few. Our work touches lives globally: Making encryption accessible across diverse cultural contexts Protecting activists' communication tools Advocating for changes across technology, policy and design practice that center human rights In a world where technology often marginalizes vulnerable populations, Superbloom stands as a beacon of change. We don't just critique—we transform. By bringing underrepresented voices into critical decision-making spaces, we're reshaping how technology is conceived, designed, and deployed. The next decade demands even more courageous intervention. With your support, we can: Expand our work on inclusive, trustworthy design Support more teams building critical, secure and private technology Amplify voices traditionally excluded from tech conversations We're not just designing technology. We're designing a more equitable future.
