Malala Fund

Founded in 1995, the AWC Scholarship Program provides rural, low income Thai girls with scholarships to complete high school.

The AWC Scholarship Program awards scholarships annually to female high school students in 28 schools across 21 provinces in central and northern Thailand. In the 2024-25 school year, our donors sponsored 315 students.

Each $195 USD scholarship allows a student to pay the extra, mandatory costs of high school that are not covered by the government (books, uniforms, supplies, meals and transportation). These costs can be prohibitive to low income families and often girls have to leave school because their families cannot pay them.

Eligibility criteria for young women in grades 10-12 (M4-M6) are good academic performance (> 2.5GPA), a low family income, good behavior and a commitment to education while building a sustainable community. ​

Jennifer Siebel Newsom founded The Representation Project in 2011 with her groundbreaking film *Miss Representation*, igniting a national conversation about sexism in the media. *The Mask You Live In*, Jennifer’s second documentary, showcased how harmful American masculinity can be for boys and young men. Her latest films-- *Great American Lie* (2019) and *Fair Play* (2022), tackled inequality in the American Dream and in the division of care and domestic work in households, respectively.  

These documentaries on limiting gender narratives have been viewed nearly 30 million times, with our film curricula changing the lives of over 2 million students. Siebel Newsom’s prescience has born true: that storytelling opens hearts and minds like nothing else, shifting attitudes and behaviors. This is culture transformation at its best and creates a more equitable world where everyone can reach their full potential.

**Why Its Urgent**

Gender stereotypes are a public health crisis. Two-thirds of young women have disordered eating. One-in-three girls have seriously considered suicide, up significantly from a decade ago. Boys who hold traditional ideas about masculinity are significantly more likely to bully and harass others, and to suffer from depression and suicidal ideation.

The dangers to our youth link back to harmful messages. For girls, these stereotypes form the root cause of body hatred and shame, eating disorders, depression, low self-esteem and low leadership ambition. For boys, they are the primary driver of depression, dangerous risk-taking activities, substance abuse, suicide and violence. By getting in front of the message, we can change the outcome.

**How We Do It**

- We raise awareness through films— viewed over 30 million times worldwide.
- We educate students through our curricula, which has reached over 2.4 million students.
- We amplify the impact of our film and educational materials through hashtag campaigns (e.g., #AskHerMore, #NotBuyingIt, #EndRape, #RespectHerGame) that have reached 588 million people.

ESRI provides comprehensive, free preschool for thousands of children in Ethiopia and an  income generation program for Mothers.


*ESRI is a high quality, comprehensive, preschool program for disadvantaged Ethiopian children which gives them the tools to succeed at school.*  The *ESRI Mothers Empowerment Program provides vocational training for selected mothers and helps them establish businesses. The cost to support each mother is $350.*                                                                                                                   In addition to a full classroom cognitive learning program, ESRI's comprehensive program includes continuing teacher education, evaluation of children's progress, parenting education, social services, and access to physical and behavioral health services for the children and families..
Since inception in 2007 ESRI has opened 113 pre-schools in 8 Regions throughout Ethiopia including rural areas   Over 70,000 students have benefited from an ESRI preschool education. ESRI partners with the Regional Boards of Education to implement the program. The ESRI program includes a 3-year curriculum, intensive teacher training and rigorous quality control. Behavioral management and health screening with referrals as needed and a parenting education program are also part of the ESRI comprehensive program. ESRI has trained over 2,500 preschool teachers and primary caregivers of children.
Ethiopian children enter first grade at age 7, unprepared to learn. Many fall behind quickly, lose interest, and by the end of the first grade 25% have dropped out of school. Over 50% drop out by the end of fourth grade. The data indicates that the children who drop out are the children who fall behind.
The Mother’s Empowerment Program is an integral and vital part of ESRI’s Comprehensive program. Selected Mothers in each of the 8 Regions attend training in their chosen fields. When the mothers complete their training, they receive materials so they can set up businesses. Past business includes commercial poultry, tailoring, injera baking and restaurants.
ESRI  arranges mentoring for the mothers as they establish their chosen business.
Mothers who have participated in this ESRI program report the impact on their lives includes decreased stress and increased self-esteem for themselves and better nutrition, improved housing, and a path out of poverty and a sense of hope for the future for the entire family.
ESRI’s expansion into the Regions of Ethiopia requires more preschool teachers. in the regions. To address this issue and to ensure the quality of preschool teachers for the future, ESRI has partnered with two universities in Ethiopia to develop new 3-year college training program for pre-school teachers.   This program is currently offered in 2 Universities in 2 Regions of Ethiopia.  As this program expands to additional universities, it will improve the quality of preschool education throughout the Country.

Listening: our ears are always attentive and our doors open to receive people. For us, this is always the first step in any transformation. Listening to feedbacks, understanding what has worked out and what has not, adjusting to the circumstances, and always improving. Whenever possible, we also seek to collect this type of feedback within our own team, where there is no power hierarchy, only different opinions and a great common goal.

Respect: there is no listening to people without respect. We assume everyone has a valuable viewpoint and an in-depth understanding of his/her own reality. We respect differences among cultures, regions, and biomes in order to maximize the impact of our support. We valorize and stimulate the protagonist place of each individual in the socio-environmental transformational process, as we believe that true change comes from the rank and file.

Trust: we trust the working capacity of each individual and each small group we support. We understand Casa Fund as a transitional space, not as a centralizing unit. We are a safe haven, we comfort the pain and uncertainties, ensuring the means to solutions, maximizing actions and opening pathways, but we are not the ones to carry out the projects.

Union: The sentence “union is strength” may sound like a cliché, but it is a motto for us. We aggregate and mobilize. The more people share our dreams of transformation, the greater will be our collective power.

Connection and collaboration: we exist to establish connections and promote collaboration. This does not mean we have to be always present or directly involved in all actions. For us, promoting joint work between two or more transformational agents is already super powerful! This way we manage to multiply our actions and actually have a significant impact on the world.

This would be the first time in the tournament's 65 year history that an all-girls team from California would be participating.The team's travel and accommodation costs for an 11 day international tournament are substantial. By providing life skills lessons, one-on-one and group mentoring, family and community engagement, inspiring multimedia, and more for the girls who need it the most, Room to Read is contributing to meaningful generational change.  

By the end of 2027, we aim to:

Advocates for justice - we are a legal NGO, set up in 1952, working to promote and protect human rights through the rule of law.

The legal teams at the ICJ are supported by 60 Commissioners, who are expert judges, lawyers and academics from all legal traditions. They are selected for their experience, knowledge and fundamental commitment to human rights. They provide pro bono support, using their unique legal expertise and access to ensure that people everywhere benfit equally from the rule of law and human rights, and if those rights are violated, they can seek and receive adequate remedies from courts that are independent, impartial, fair, and effective. We work around the world, but focus on countries where human rights and the rule of law are most at risk. Over the past 70 year, our work has benefited the lives of millions of people.

We do this by:

History of Toa Nafasi
"Nova was sexually abused as a child multiple times starting at the age of six. As a boy child, he had neither the comprehension nor the language to report to a parent or teacher. Growing up with the secret and shame, he learned child sexual abuse is common place in his community. And children with disabilities are twice susceptible to abuse and violence. Studies show 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 7 boys will experience sexual violence between the age of 2 and 17. Additionally, 1 in 3 students enrolled in grade 1 have a learning disability of some kind. With this knowledge, he went on to start Linda Community to address abuse and violence and later fold the organization with a learning disabilities project. This birthed Toa Nafasi Foundation – a locally led organization building the capacity of local young adults to support vulnerable children in public primary schools. 

Why Toa Nafasi
Tanzanian education doesn’t treat each child as an individual with diverse aptitudes and learning styles. The curriculum for primary schools barely encourages and supports children from early age and grade to develop strengths, overcome challenges, and cultivate creativity.  In 11 public primary schools in Moshi we have surveyed in 2020, we have learned 30 percent of grade 1 students have a learning disability. In a community where 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 7 boys are likely to experience sexual violence (According to a 2009 National Survey on Violence Against Children), children with disabilities are twice vulnerable to violence.

The goal of Toa Nafasi Foundation is therefore to enrich the classroom experience, create a linkage between school and home, unleash children self protective skills and offer a chance to succeed for both student and tutor.

Toa Nafasi addresses three major infrastructural challenges in Tanzania. The first problem is the lack of special education information and programming in the Tanzanian public school system. Nearly 30 percent of students have a learning difficulty don’t respond to standard educational methods. Without effective special education pedagogies in place, these students are often stigmatized as disobedient, lazy, or stupid. The second is the lack of comprehensive body safety education and support in the school system that help students build their ability to protect and prevent abuse and violence. 1 in 5 children experience violence before they are 18 years. And those with disabilities are twice vulnerable. Without taking drastic measures, the children will continue to experience violence with multiple short and long term impacts. The third problem Toa Nafasi addresses is widespread lack of opportunity for young adults. Tanzanian youth under 30 make up over 70 percent of the population yet unemployment rate is 11. 5 percent.

Our Approach

The Toa Nafasi model is a three-tiered approach of assessment, referral, and curriculum modification that build the asset of young adults and enhancing community relations. In assessment, our tutors observe all the children enrolled in grade 1 for social behaviors, adaptive abilities, and motor skills as well as test them for literacy, numeracy, and cognitive skills to get a full picture. In referrals, we work with health professionals and institutions to treat those pupils whom we have identified are struggling due to medical, psychological issues or experiences of trauma. In curriculum modification, tutors work with children who are struggling to reach their potential to help them complete the standard Tanzanian curriculum in a modified context. We've also modified the curriculum to include personal body safety curriculum for children.

Our programs

Toa Nafasi recruits young adults from the local community, and provide them professional development support on child protection and learning disabilities. The young adults work full time as tutors supporting public primary school students with learning difficulties and at risk of abuse and violence.

Each year, the tutors assess students enrolled in grade one to identify children with experience of trauma and with learning difficulties. Then follows a Referral stage where students identified with medical and psychological challenges are taken to care and treatment facilities. The young adults then provide tutoring and psychosocial support in child friendly spaces, and through play.

An important component of the program is community engagement, where the tutors work with families of the vulnerable children, school administrators, justice system, and community development and education offices to better support the vulnerable children, to promote safety, wellbeing and address the stigma often surrounding abuse, violence and learning differences.

Toa Nafasi provides the students with the education and holistic support services, and the young adults that run the program with employment. The impact is not only empowering individual students with age appropriate knowledge and support, but also giving the young adults a meaningful role in the community.

Enfants de Mathare financially supports the **Roots Institute Centre (RIC),** a primary school in Mathare, one of the largest slums in Nairobi, Kenya. RIC provides free quality education, nutritious meals and a safe environment for vulnerable children of Mathare.

**To be born into Mathare offers little hope of escape. Many of these children will never experience life without violence, hunger or sickness. Joyful, intelligent, and resilient, the children of Mathare deserve the chance for a better future but they need your help to break free from the cycle of poverty.**

Our aim is to raise enough funds to cover RIC’s annual operational costs, which includes teacher salaries and food for the student meals. Every school year we also try to sponsor scholarships for a secondary education for some of our best performing students.

Our long term goal is to build a permanent building that will replace the current corrugated steel structure RIC is housed in. We hope that this new building will serve as a central point for education and training for the entire community.

The Development for People and Nature Association (DPNA) was founded in 2003 by a passionate group of activists who saw the pressing need for a structured approach to sustainable development in Lebanon. Initially starting with a small, dedicated team, DPNA set out to tackle the challenges faced by marginalized communities, particularly those in rural and underdeveloped areas. From these modest beginnings, DPNA has grown into a prominent non-governmental organization (NGO) with a significant impact on both social and environmental issues locally and regionally.



DPNA's founders were motivated by a vision of creating lasting positive change through collaborative efforts and sustainable practices. Over the years, the organization has expanded its scope and influence, becoming known for its innovative approaches and impactful projects aimed at improving the quality of life for Lebanon's most vulnerable populations. The organization's growth reflects its commitment to addressing both immediate needs and long-term challenges, leveraging a combination of grassroots engagement and strategic partnerships.

New programs will be launched to provide training, resources, and support to aspiring entrepreneurs, focusing on sustainable economic development.



Expansion of Civic Education Programs: The organization plans to extend its civic education initiatives to reach a broader audience, especially in marginalized and rural communities. CAMFED is a pan-African movement revolutionizing how girls’ education is delivered. Through a gold-standard system of accountability to the young people and communities we serve, we have created a model that radically improves girls’ prospects of becoming independent, influential women. Our impact increases exponentially through the Association of young women educated with CAMFED’s support. Together, we multiply the number of girls in school and accelerate their path to livelihoods and leadership.

CAMFED supports girls in government primary and secondary schools across Zimbabwe, Zambia, Ghana, Tanzania and Malawi to access school, succeed, and become leaders of change in their communities.

We believe no woman should endure a life of misery and isolation, simply for trying to bring a child into the world. 

Obstetric fistula is a devastating childbirth injury. It leaves a woman incontinent, humiliated, and—all too often—shunned by her community. Obstetric fistula ranks as one of humanity’s most disabling injuries—but it can be cured by a surgery that costs $633. Few investments in human health can yield such a dramatic impact on a woman, her family, and her community. 

At least one million women today suffer for want of a surgery that can transform their lives. Living primarily in rural areas of Africa and Asia, women suffering with untreated fistula or severe perineal tears (a similar childbirth injury that causes fecal incontinence) endure the burden of debilitating injuries on top of crushing poverty and gender inequality.

There are three main barriers that prevent them from accessing the care they need: Stigma and lack of awareness, poverty, and inadequate healthcare systems.

Fistula Foundation has a proven model: We help where the need is greatest. We partner with carefully selected doctors and hospitals that are trusted by the communities they serve. Funding 95 partners across more than 35 countries, Fistula Foundation has a vision—and a plan—to bring the suffering caused by fistula to an end in all countries where this condition persists today.

As youth continue with YTB they experience co-production -- a model in which each person contributes to the design and delivery of projects or services.

YTB's Vision is that all youth transition to adulthood with the experience of contributing service to their community. Youth Earning Time Credits for Community Service Activities - Youth TimeBanking is a nonprofit that provides youth with opportunities through its network of community organizations. YTB is Timebanking customized for youth, a program of giving and receiving where youth earn YTB time credits for their service contributions. Youth take care of Little Free Libraries and community gardens, design logos, participate in virtual events, work on community crochet, and more. YTB time credits earn youth resources-services-opportunities, such as cell phone minutes, refurbished technology, sports gear, school supplies, arts-crafts supplies, books, coaching sessions, digital inclusion, lessons, etc. YTB is a youth-adult partnership in which youth develop strengths, make community connections, and experience something bigger than themselves. LBSI is a strength-based transformational program improving lives of vulnerable and exploited girls, children, and women.
 
  

Life Bloom Services International (LBSI) is a strength-based transformational program utilizing peer mentoring and healing relationships to invite women, girls and children into movement from victim to whole life health. LBSI has supported more than 13,800 women, girls, and children (and men too) who have experienced abuse, trafficking and exploitation to regain their dignity. Vision : LBSI sees a world where women, girls and children who have experienced abuse and exploitation transform to become dignified leaders. Mission : LBSI is a strength- based transformational program utilizing peer mentoring and healing relationships to invite women and girls into movement from victim to whole life health. Motto : "Giving women and girls a second chance" Goal:  Transformation of women and girls lives in the diminishing safe spaces. Currently LBSI is supporting 30 girls who are survivors of sexual exploitation funded by Equality Now and implementing a project that is funded by the United Nations supporting 39 children by offering direct assistance to survivors of child trafficking and child labour. The organization also provides sanitary towels monthly to 120 vulnerable girls and women and creating awareness on Menstrual Hygiene management (MHM), women group mentorship, equipping women and girls with vocational skills and humanitarian support response during Covid-19 pandemic through food support and psychosocial support.

PERIOD. works to end period poverty and stigma through service, advocacy, and education. PERIOD. does this by providing free menstrual products to menstruators in need by partnering with community organizations through our global network of hundreds of partner non-profit organizations, community groups and hundreds of global PERIOD. chapters each month. Our chapters and partners help us distribute period products to menstruators in need in their own communities, host product drives, conduct educational trainings and discuss healthy menstruation to destigmatize periods. PERIOD. has active chapters in over 40 states and over 30 countries.

In order to truly end period poverty, we must end the systemic roots of period poverty. PERIOD. works to help draft, pass and implement policies and legislation to mandate period product in workplaces and schools, as well as repeal the discriminatory tampon tax, which adds to the expensive cost of menstrual products. PERIOD. knows that this new generation of youth leaders will solve period poverty in their lifetime!

The PERIOD Chapter network is the core of our organization. Made up of youth activists, chapters are mostly based in middle schools, high schools, college campuses and young adult community groups. PERIOD believes in the importance of centering youth leadership and activism in the pursuit of menstrual equity, and therefore utilizes resources to empower chapters in their local service, education and advocacy planning. Chapters receive leadership development and advocacy training, helping to focus their efforts on providing access to menstrual products to menstruators experiencing homelessness. The organization was founded in the year 1992, by the group of young sensitive youths in the interest of the society. RSKS A pioneer organization helping marginalized women & Girls in India.

Every child deserves access to education. It is a basic human right. Yet in Sub-Saharan Africa, over one fifth of primary school aged children are not in school. That’s just not right. 

So They Can is an international NGO on a mission to change this. They work with vulnerable communities and their governments in Kenya and Tanzania to educate and empower children, so they can break the poverty cycle, realise their own potential and meet their own needs. 

Over a 7-10 year development cycle, So They Can works closely with a community to understand their needs and implement projects that will best support them. Throughout the cycle, they develop relationships and ensure transfer of knowledge and management skills to these communities to ensure sustainability of the programs. This enables them to eventually shift to a governance role so we can expand our focus and core resources to help other vulnerable communities.

Since being founded in 2008, the DFAT accredited NGO has partnered with 42 schools and helped deliver quality education to over 24,000 students.

The Jeneba Project transforms the lives of girls in Sierra Leone via a high quality foundational and civics education.

A Next Jen revolution.

The Sengbe Pieh senior secondary excellence academy is dedicated to granting dozens of promising young women access to a quality high school education and to paving a way for them to forge a bright future. Through the academy, students not only gain strong academic foundations but also learn to establish their voice, gain awareness of their rights, take pride in and ownership of their minds and bodies, and gain the confidence to march forward and dictate their own successes. 

We aim to transform the face of education for girls in Sierra Leone with a mission to foster intellectual growth, develop leadership and catalyze social impact across communities.

We focus on four pillars of success:

1. Education quality: Our small class cohorts of 24 girls are taught by six subject matter teachers, which enables the personalized attention needed to achieve strong academic foundations. 

2. Civic and Female Empowerment: On “Special Fridays”, we teach topics key to civic education with a special focus on female empowerment.

3. Critical Thinking: By moving from corporal punishment to PBIS (Positive behavioral interventions and support) techniques, we create an environment where girls feel comfortable posing questions rather than avoiding wrong answers.

4. International exposure: We host international guest lecturers onsite. In the past, these partners have expanded computer literacy skills; taught girls about their reproductive systems; and conducted art therapy to foster self-esteem and resolve conflicts.

Donate to support international graduates of Women Leaders for the World.  These women create amazing results in the world.

This is the last year for the  International Women Leaders for the World  fund at KBFUS.

Our purpose is to identify and resource established women leaders working to transform their communities in developing countries. The fund focuses on graduates of the Women Leaders for the World transformational leadership program.  We have supported nine grants of $5,000 since our inception.  Here are some highlights:  
 
Destiny Reflection , Kolkata India, built a telehealth center and delivered vital mental health as well as microenterprise education to women living in the red-light district. This allowed women whose livelihoods had been destroyed to earn monies from soap-making and other activities. 
 
Hope Foundation for African Women , Kenya, sensitized hundreds of people about safety measures through in-person community meetings as well as reaching thousands through radio broadcasts. 

Girls Empowerment Sierra Leone  recruited and trained high schools girls to engage their classmates in overcoming mental health challenges  More than 100 girls learned to not only deal individually with these issues but to help others in the community to cope with them. 
 
Malkia Foundation, Uganda, distributed relief materials to hundreds and launched training programs to assist teenage mothers in starting their own businesses.   

The grantee organizations worked collaboratively through Zoom calls to discuss solutions to overcome numerous obstacles. Each found that engaging their community members in the design and execution of their projects paid huge dividends.

At Sister Circle Media we are committed to advancing Black women in Media and Entertainment. We make the K.A.C.E (Knowledge, Access, Community, and Equity) for Black women by providing valuable resources and hosting networking events, mentor programs, speaker series and more.

Nyanam is a restorative justice organization preparing widows to lead positive community transformation.

We are a restorative justice organization, preparing widows to be leaders of positive social transformation in their communities through integrated programs in leadership, health, livelihoods and justice. Our work alleviates widowhood poverty, mitigates the impact of HIV/AIDS, and gives widows the tools to tackle oppressive cultural, economic, and social practices that undermine widows’ dignity and limit their agency.

Past and current activities 
Our unit of operation is the leadership circles, which are self-led widow-to-widow support groups that meet on a weekly basis. We also have youth mentorship groups that organize and meet weekly during school holidays. In the leadership circles, widows offer each other spiritual, emotional, and economic support, replacing isolation and loneliness with communities of friendship. These circles consolidate their collective voice to guide the design and implementation of Nyanam’s work. As an organization, we have five main program areas that guide how we engage with Nyanam widows and their children. We use capacity strengthening as the core approach in implementing our programs. Our holistic interventions in leadership, livelihoods, health, justice, and youth education are delivered through our unique curriculum called Voice of Change, a Nyanam’s unique and widow centric training curriculum tailored to respond to the needs and concerns of widows, and uses storytelling, deep listening, and social action as approaches for community transformation. 

Leadership: Widowhood thrusts women into household leadership in patriarchal culture where male headship is valued and expected. We affirm the leadership of widows and harness their potential for community transformation. From the leadership circles, we have trained 640 widows in our various capacities who have in turned trained 780 widows in the same knowledge and skills in their groups. Further, leadership circles conduct Bible studies for spiritual development, personal sharing for emotional support, and table banking for economic development. 

Livelihoods: Our livelihood program has two main components; economic empowerment and sustainable agriculture. We train Nyanam widows in sustainable agriculture, financial literacy, table banking and micro- business skills. We offer them seed funding for their group table banking and businesses, we provide them with vegetable seeds for planting, and new gardening resources (multistorey gardens). 

Health: Nyanam widows' health and well-being is our primary focus. In this program we train our widows in trauma healing, preventative health and counselling. Through our professional and trained counselors, we provide widows with individual and group counseling sessions which support and addresses each widows’ nuanced situation and unique set of challenges, as well as mental health workshops with specific themes at the request of the widows. Further, we have a team of trained community health volunteers that provide monthly health talk sessions in the different leadership circles as well as home visits and health referrals where needed. 

Justice: Access to, ownership and control of land is both a human right and an economic justice for widows. In this program, we raise awareness on widowhood issues and take action to address injustices related to land, housing and widows’ rights. We ensure this through community leaders education and training, conducting conflict resolution sessions among Nyanam widows and their relatives, provide direct legal support to widows who are pursuing their land and property inheritance and succession, provide housing support  by building Nyanam widows dignified houses in partnership with other stakeholders and undertake policy advocacy with different government agencies and policy makers on widows human rights. 

Youth Education: Widows’ children are particularly a population in need of support, as poverty limits the future of both the widows and their families. Guided by our 3-year youth education strategy, we provide capacity training to Nyanam widows children in comprehensive health education, technology and robotics and environmental justice. The training is multiplied in the youth mentorship groups by a group of trained Nyanam youth mentors supported by trained widow matrons. In addition, we provide need based secondary school education sponsorship to widows children to improves student access to secondary education, but also builds students’ communication skills and goal setting through the application and mentorship process. 

In the future we are planning to serve up to 10,000 widows in our region and establish a widow-led cooperative business for financial security and additional income for Nyanam widows improving their financial status and muscles. Further, we seek to expand the work to other communities through training of different partners and stakeholders in our intervention the Voice of Change as a key driver for positive community transformation in the communities of widows.

Black Sisters in STEM (Black SiS) helps Black Gen Z women breaking into STEM careers share, learn, and get hired.

Vision: Reinventing the path for Black women in early career stages pursuing STEM-based careers.

Black women constitute only 2 percent of STEM jobs. A statistic that has been stagnant since 2018. Black Women represent the largest unserved market and largest disruptive force in business. Black women struggle at every stage of the STEM pipeline. It’s not due to lack of desire, or capacity, it’s to lack of support.

Black Sisters in STEM (Black SiS) is on a mission to unleash the global brilliance of Gen Z Black Women by reinventing their journey towards STEM based careers. We are building and upskilling the largest talent marketplace of Black Gen Z women to systematically address the racial wealth gap and create generational socio-economic growth. In short, we help Black Gen Z women breaking into STEM careers share, learn, and get hired.

We have built an empire of ~8k Black women from 33 countries and 200+ schools. Growing membership at 75% YoY. Most importantly, earning our fellows $4M+ in compensation packages. From Lagos, Nigeria to Atlanta, GA we are building a career community the world has never seen.

Driven by concerns of health, education &amp; equality for vulnerable women as an integral and critical dimension of human rights, Ladli Foundation became a reality in 2012 as a grassroots social catalyst. It was founded by Devendra Kumar, whose incredible journey began as a child laborer in a poverty-stricken environment. Where he faced numerous hardships and atrocities during his orphaned and challenging childhood. Born in a crime-prone slum, he endured abandonment by his parents, who left him with his three-day-old infant sister when he was just two years old. Despite these adversities, Devendra's indomitable spirit and resilience led him to find solace and purpose in serving others.

Driven by his determination to protect his sister from child marriage and dowry, Devendra founded the Ladli Foundation with the noble mission of uplifting the oppressed and disadvantaged. His personal experiences as a child laborer and his encounters with delinquents and drug addicts further fueled his commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those facing similar challenges.

Listed as a credible public charity organization by the Niti Aayog- the highest policy-making body of the Government of India and accredited with various union, states governments It has been and is known to bring positive reformative changes in society with a mission of building gender-sensitized inclusive society with equal access to basic, essential amenities and services, healthcare, education, work-force participation etc by women- the foundation has been diligently working in 50
districts across 12 states in India.

We are the women we serve. Now, GirlTrek is mobilizing this constituency for its boldest mission yet: a Care Crusade to extend Black women’s life expectancy by 10 years in a decade. These bold campaigns—scaling to 5 million members, establishing community wellness hubs “Care Villages”, training a Blue Brigade of health responders, and advancing policies to dismantle systemic barriers—will build lasting systems of care and inspire future generations.
