The Universidad Hospital Italiano is a private, non-profit institution dedicated to the comprehensive education of professionals in health, in applied sciences, social sciences, and the humanities. With over 25 years of experience and the support of a highly complex university hospital, we promote academic excellence, research, and community outreach. We educate professionals who care, conduct research, and transform social realities through knowledge and a strong vocation for service.

Thanks to the support of individuals, companies and foundations that share our vision, we promote high-impact social programs: we provide scholarships to talented and dedicated students, build cutting-edge educational infrastructure, and promote access to healthcare through community projects that transform lives across the country.

We reinvest every resource into what drives us: training the healthcare professionals of the future and contributing to a more just and healthy society.

Building the future – Expansion of the simulation center

A leap in 21st-century medical education Medical training can no longer rely solely on acquired knowledge or direct patient experience. That is why we are promoting the creation of an unprecedented academic center for medical training and research in Argentina and Latin America. This project represents a qualitative leap in the way we teach and learn health sciences. Simulation-based training in physical and virtual environments enhances the learning experience through repetition without risk to patients, optimizes decision-making, reduces procedural errors, and ultimately saves lives. This includes the learning of clinical and surgical skills and attitudes by simulating a wide range of situations such as clinical consultation, elective and emergency surgical scenarios, and various technical procedures. All activities take place in controlled and safe environments, without involving patients. The new Simulation-Based Education Center will comprise more than 3.500 square meters, providing students and healthcare professionals with the opportunity to train using cutting-edge technology in safe, realistic and highly controlled environments. The Project also includes classrooms, a biotechnology center and a human specimen collection area. In the first phase , a 600 square-meter space will be built for the development of both clinical and surgical simulation and research activities. Will be based on virtual and high fidelity simulation and hands-on simulation practice on inanimate specimens.  After completing this phase of the project, an 80% increase in courses is expected, reaching 60 postgraduate courses per year and training more than 1,800 healthcare professionals in areas such as surgery, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, gynecology, urology, and traumatology , among others. ●      Goal Stage 1 : USD 2,000,000 We expect to raise 50% of the project’s funding from international donors. Estimated cost per space : ●      Training room: USD 500,000 ●      Classroom block: USD 375,000 ●      Support facilities: USD 280,000 ●      1 classroom: USD 125,000 💬Every square meter built today helps train the professionals who will care for us tomorrow.

Bring free medical care to rural communities in Argentina

Bring health where it is needed most Access to healthcare services remains an outstanding commitment in some of the most vulnerable areas of northern Argentina. In particular, in the city of Santa Victoria Este, Salta province, 89% of the population experiences some form of Unmet Basic Needs (UBN). This poses a significant health risk for the community, with high rates of child malnutrition and tuberculosis . For this reason, the Hospital Italiano of Buenos Aires and its university have launched a socio-health and educational project that deploys interdisciplinary delegations to provide comprehensive medical care, health promotion and training to isolated communities. Each delegationconsists of healthcare professionals from different specialties and remains in the area for a month, offering free medical care and professional training to support the development of the local healthcare team. Thanks to the support of people like you, more than 600 individuals receive care each year through this program. But there is still much more to be done. ●       Cost per delegation : USD 5.000 ●       Current goal : To fund 6 delegations = USD 30.000 💬 Your contribution brings health, dignity and care where it is needed most.
