Cohort Retreat for THRIVE: A BIPOC Arts Leadership Program

Intersection for the Arts is a bedrock Bay Area arts nonprofit that’s dedicated to helping artists grow. Through vital resources, including fiscal sponsorship, low-cost coworking and event space, and professional development programs, we empower people to continue creating, thinking big, and taking weird and wonderful risks.

We believe art and culture are necessary elements of wellbeing. That’s why we serve people working in the arts—from artists to educators to administrators to funders.

We take the stance that artists should be at the top of the systems that were originally created to support their work. Art institutions would not exist but for artists’ creativity, sweat, blood, tears, and enormously generous hearts. We support those who take matters into their own capable hands and make their own opportunities. We stand by artists every day in their efforts to make our communities better, healthier, more exciting and dynamic places to live our lives.

Beast Crawl Literary Festival

The Beast Crawl Literary Festival is Oakland's longest, continuous annual literary festival. Founded in 2012, it has run in one form or almost every year. Now in our 14th year, 2026, we celebrate a change in format and change in organizing staff. Our goal remains the same...to provide top flight literary events and performances in various neighborhoods throughout Oakland, culminating in an annual festival that showcases the East Bay and the world's top literary writers and performers in local venues throughout the city of Oakland in the Black Arts Cultural District, Old Oakland and other neighborhoods throughout the city of Oakland.

Soulfull Group 3rd Annual BHM Experience – Future in Motion

Soulfull Group is proud to host our 3rd Annual Black History Month Experience on the Peninsula — a two-day cultural and youth-centered celebration rooted in Black excellence, identity, education, and community connection. This experience is more than an event. It is a safe, inspiring space where children and families see representation, build confidence, and connect to culture in meaningful ways. Funds raised through this campaign will directly support: • Youth recognition awards and academic incentives • Cultural performers and live entertainment • Safe kids zone activities and interactive programming • Community vendors and Black-owned businesses • Event production, staging, and safety infrastructure Our goal is to create an unforgettable, high-impact experience where youth leave feeling seen, celebrated, and empowered. You don’t just attend a Soulfull Group event — you leave full of Blackness, culture, connection, identity, and community. All donations are tax-deductible through our fiscal sponsor, Intersection for the Arts (501c3).
