WHCC is a no-audition community choir, one of a handful in NYC and the only one serving Upper Manhattan. We're a lively, diverse, and welcoming group that loves to sing and believes in the power of music to spread joy and build community!

Artists’ Television Access is a San Francisco-based, artist-run, non-profit organization that cultivates and promotes culturally-aware, underground media and experimental art. We provide an accessible screening venue and gallery for the presentation of programmed and guest-curated screenings, exhibitions, performances, workshops and events. We believe in fostering a supportive community for the exhibition of innovative art and the exchange of non-conformist ideas.

Story House Ithaca brings people together to share, study, create, and enjoy stories in all their forms.

Story House Ithaca brings people together around stories. We define “story” very broadly, to include fiction and nonfiction, poetry and song, documentary, journalism, photography, audio, film, theater, puppetry, visual and performance art, graphics, dance, and every other way of communicating ideas and experience. Our definition of “house” is also broad. We hope eventually to settle into our own space, but for now we’re excited to be popping up around the community.

**The Problem**

Our society is going through a period of fracturing, as people of different socioeconomic, cultural, and educational backgrounds divide into ever more insular groups. One reason for this is a lack of opportunities for people to interact in meaningful and non-threatening ways. This has had disastrous consequences in politics, public health, and many other areas.
  
 **Our Approach**

- Story House creates. We dream up, organize, and present workshops, discussions, readings, talks, screenings, exhibitions, performances, participatory projects, and other activities. 
- Story House collaborates. We work with organizations, artists, activists, scholars, and others to plan and present compelling programming. 
- Story House connects. We help creative people and groups find new partners and reach new audiences. 
- Story House empowers. We help members of our community acquire the skills they need to tell the stories they want to tell.

In all our programs and activities, we are committed to creating inclusive spaces that welcome diversity. We strive to foster interactions between people of different cultures, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds, with the goal of working toward shared understanding and a more equitable, anti-racist society.
 
**Our Team**

Lesley Greene (co-director) is a producer, designer, writer, and director. She worked for many years at the Kitchen Theatre Company, where she curated and produced three performance series, created sound and projection designs, and served as chief grant writer and head of marketing. She is a co-founder and co-organizer of Porchfest, a festival that began in Ithaca in 2007 and now takes place in more than 150 cities across North America.
  
Jonathan Miller (co-director) is a writer, journalist, editor, radio producer, podcaster, and media project leader whose work has taken him to more than 20 countries. Since 2006, he has been executive director of Homelands Productions, an award-winning journalism collective that specializes in public radio features and documentaries. Jon serves on the board of Ithaca City of Asylum and coordinates the ONWARDS project, which seeks to help displaced writers, artists, human rights defenders, and scholars find stability in the USA.

The ARChive of Contemporary Music is a not-for-profit music library dedicated to collecting, preserving and providing information about popular music from around the world.    Now in its twenty-eighth year of operation, ARC is the largest and most important popular music collection in the world – with over three million sound recordings and approximately four million  photographs, books, press kits, videos, memorabilia and related ephemera.   Our simple goal is to guarantee that the world’s musical heritage is preserved for future generations to study and enjoy.     We believe that all forms of popular music, jazz, be-bop, bluegrass, country, rock, rap, blues, enka, reggae, calypso, zydeco, and countless other forms are significant cultural expressions.  All musics entertain as well as reveal a people and their values to the rest of the world.

ARChive of Contemporary Music

The Tanging Yaman Foundation is a non-profit Philippine organization which bridges the generosity of countless Filipinos. 

Tanging Yaman Foundation, Inc. (Tanging Yaman), a non-profit Philippine organization, was established in 1992 when Fr. Manuel "Manoling" Francisco, SJ first performed his original liturgical music with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO). Almost every year, Fr. Manoling would perform with the PPO or the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra.

 

These concerts, entitled Tanging Yaman: Himig at Pananalig, graced the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the Meralco Theatre, the UP Theatre, and other major Philippine theaters. The concerts even went on tour to Batangas, Quezon Province, and Ifugao.

 

In addition to the orchestra, these Tanging Yaman concerts featured choirs like Bukas Palad, Hangad, Bungang Himig, Tinig Barangka, the Pansol Choir, and popular artists like Basil Valdez, Dulce, Ogie Alcasid, Ariel Rivera, Jamie Rivera, and Nolyn Cabahug. Apart from celebrating Filipino music and Filipino faith, the concerts also raised funds for institutions that build and nurture local communities.

 

Some of the beneficiaries of the Tanging Yaman concerts were have been the Sibol-Hesus School for gifted public school children of Mr. Onofre Pagsanghan; the Alagad ni Maria Youth Center in Infanta; the Quezonians Home for the Aged; the Kiangan, Ifugao Scholarship Fund; the Diocesan Seminary in Lipa, Batangas; Our Lady of the Pentecost Parish in Loyola Heights; Mary the Queen Parish in San Juan; the Ateneo de Manila High School Scholarship Fund; and the School of Living Tradition in Benguet.

 

Tanging Yaman Foundation, Inc. has then evolved from being an annual liturgical concert to being a conduit foundation, bridging the generosity of countless Filipinos here and abroad to the vital needs of their fellow men and women in the Philippines.

Youth Art Exchange unites artists and SF public high school students, empowering youth as leaders, thinkers, and creators.

**Youth Art Exchange (YAX)** sparks creativity, leadership, and community by connecting professional artists with San Francisco public high school students. Since 2000, YAX has provided **free, high-quality arts education** to more than 15,000 youth—primarily students of color and low-income families who are most impacted by inequitable access to the arts.

Through classes in architecture, animation, photography, printmaking, music production, fashion design, mural arts, and more, young people explore their identities, develop leadership skills, and collaborate with practicing artists. Our programs extend beyond the classroom, with youth-led exhibitions, public art projects, and performances that bring creative energy to neighborhoods across the city.

The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee has granted ICAF an exclusive license to utilize the "Arts Olympiad" mark.

The World Children’s Festival (WCF) offers a transformative experience, infusing creativity with empathy to give them hope. While learning is a biological process that creates new neural connections, developing empathy necessitates unlearning ingrained biases and prejudices to activate the “mirror neurons” that underpin empathetic responses. As empathy flourishes, divisions diminish, polarization lessens, consensus emerges, nations come together, and the world becomes more peaceful. The educational programming for this three-day public celebration of children's talents is rooted in STEAMS education, an innovative approach developed by ICAF that integrates Arts and Sports into the STEM disciplines. The 7th World Children’s Festival, held at the National Mall from June 30 to July 2, 2026, will also serve as the children's celebration of America's 250th birthday.

One of the most sought-after young artist programs in France 

This Paris-based opera company is dedicated to lyric repertoire from the mid-18th century to the present. Founded and directed by American conductor David Stern, it combines an ambitious young artists program and a versatile instrumental ensemble.  Opera Fuoco has been in existence since 2003 initially as a top-level period instrument ensemble and later as an internationally recognized young artist troupe.  David Stern, Katharina Wolff and the Fuoco team have developed a multi-faceted program to develop young vocal talent at a professional level.  Opera Fuoco offers a unique, custom-made experience to young singers transitioning from conservatory to professional life.  Singers are able to work with Maestro Stern, experienced vocal coaches and stage directors in various contexts ranging from masterclasses and recitals to large-scale performances with orchestra and fully staged opera productions. The repertoire spans not only several centuries but a variety of genres, from baroque to contemporary, including musical comedy and jazz.  Opera Fuoco has shaped its young artist program not as an academy but as a professional company for young singers engaged for a period of three to four years. In its 13 years of existence, Opera Fuoco's Young Artist Program has trained approximately 50 singers from 15 different countries. Our 15 current members come from 5 different countries, and candidates from the last round of auditions represented 34 nationalities. Opera Fuoco's activities are largely Paris-area based, with masterclasses held in prestigious spaces such as the Petit Palais and regular concerts at the Philharmonie de Paris and the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées. The company has also enhanced its international reputation by developing regular performance partnerships with the Bachfest in Leipzig, the Beethovenfest in Bonn, the International Telemann Festival, the Swedish Chamber Orchestra as well as the Shanghai Baroque and Beijing Music Festivals in China.

Estonian Arts Centre (EAC) is the charity associated with KESKUS International Estonian Centre being built in the heart of Toronto, North America's 4th largest city.  EAC promotes development of KESKUS in Toronto in which to further its charitable objects, and these include promotion and support of the arts, multiculturalism, preservation of literary, musical and visual arts and the welfare and education of artists.

KESKUS will be a dynamic hub showcasing Estonian heritage and promoting Estonian innovation. It will be a vibrant gathering place for Estonians of all generations and backgrounds to connect, celebrate, and share Estonian culture and achievements with each other and the world. As a non-for profit company for arts and culture, Wonder Cabinet fosters encounters among individuals and entities from different backgrounds and geographies to conceive and implement original research, educational, and community-building projects encompassing the visual and sound arts, artisanship, design and architecture, food, land-care and heritage, with an approach built on knowledge exchange and cooperative labor. 

Supported by a lively community and operating in collaboration with local and international partners, Wonder Cabinet centers creativity and collectivity to generate unexpected encounters in, with and around the space, with an original program of residencies, exhibitions, research projects, workshops, screenings, performances, listening sessions, lectures, culinary programs, land-care and community-based initiatives. 

The space - a new building designed by founders and architects Elias and Yousef Anastas (AAU Anastas, Local Industries) - comprises a production facility, artist studios, a multipurpose hall, a listening bar and food laboratory, a store, a sound production and Radio Alhara station, and a community garden. 

The Wonder Cabinet is committed to growing a network of collaborative relationships with individuals, private and public entities - local and international - to contribute to the design, sustainability, and implementation of its projects and programs.

We are the oldest educational institution for the performing arts in Greece, founded as a non-profit organization in 1871. 

The Athens Conservatoire (greek: Odeion Athinon) is the oldest educational institution for the performing arts in modern Greece, founded as a non-profit organization in 1871, by the "Music and Drama Association "Athens Conservatoire - 1871"
The institution played a significant role in the advancement of music studies in Greece since day one. Some of the most renowned international musical personalities have graduated from or taught at the Athens Conservatoire, including conductor Dimitiris Mitropoulos (NY Philharmonic music director from 1951 to 1958), composers Nikos Skalkottas and Mikis Theodorakis, opera diva Maria Callas, pianists Gina Bachauer and Dimitris Sgouros and many others. Today, apart from continuing to offer to its c.700 music students the full range of classical music studies from the earliest stages to the concert diploma, the Athens Conservatoire is constantly expanding into new areas: thus, the Jazz Music Department includes leading Greek jazz musicians among its teaching staff and has already gained significant momentum, the Centre of Early Music offers new insights into historically informed performance to a growing number of students in collaboration with international institutions such as the Leeds University (UK), while a new program of studies leading to a BMus (Hons) degree in classical music performance is being developed in collaboration with Goldsmiths College, University of London (UK). 

Meanwhile, the first Drama School in Greece, also founded in 1871, has had a pivotal role in the advancement of theatrical studies in the country. Today, the Drama School of the Athens Conservatoire, member of the World Theatre Education Alliance (WTEA) – Beijing, is included among the select few top professional drama schools in Greece, officially recognized by the Ministry of Culture. The school students and its staff regularly stage cutting edge performances and cooperate with leading drama institutions abroad.

The Athens Conservatoire School of Dance, although established in the ‘00s, has been constantly expanding ever since and today features one of the few state-accredited Higher Professional Dance Schools in the country, complementing perfectly the Athens Conservatoire's wide portfolio of performing arts disciplines.

The Athens Conservatoire Centre for Research and Documentation, initially founded in 2015 to rescue from oblivion and decay our institution's extensive historical archives, is currently developing a broad range of research and editorial initiatives such as the preparation and edition of the first ever extensive History of Music in Contemporary Greece. The AC Centre for Research and Documentation participates and regularly contributes to international fora like the IAML (International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres), publishes scientific papers and a magazine, and organizes various exhibitions, such as a major exhibition on the composer Iannis Xenakis in collaboration with the Greek National Museum of Contemporary Art.

Many other major Greek arts organizations such as the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre, the Greek National Opera, the Athens & Epidaurus International Festival, the Onassis Cultural Centre, the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron) and many others regularly invite us to participate in leading cultural events.

The Athens Conservatoire iconic building, located in the heart of Athens near the Presidential Palace and the Aristotle Lyceum, is designed by the famous Greek architect Ioannis Despotopoulos (1903-1992) who holds a prominent position within the modernist architectural movement of the 1930s and the Bauhaus School in which he actively participated. His work for the Athens Conservatoire is the only completed part of an ambitious large-scale cultural complex commissioned in 1959 by the then government for Athens. For these reasons, the building is officially designated as a "Modern Architectural Monument" by the Greek Ministry of Culture. Today, this recently renovated building is functioning as a unique and enviable cultural hub for various contemporary artistic and cultural high profile events.

The Verbier Festival Friends Associaton was launched in 1993, when a group of music-loving donors was inspired by the idea of a two-week festival of classical music in the Swiss Alps in Valais. The Founder & Director Martin Engstroem calls his Verbier Festival "a waking dream"— a dream that would not have been realised without the consistent generosity and personal commitment of the Friends. Their support for the Festival as a whole, and notably for its learning programmes and major artistic projects, has been crucial to its rise to the top: the Verbier Festival is now one of the world's most renowned classical music events, blazing a trail into the 21st century.

Each donation made to The Friends of the Verbier Festival fund at Myriad (ex-KBFUS) is subject to a 5% administrative fee. These fees constitute costs to Myriad to administer donations made to the VF Friends Association; they total less than it would cost to operate a U.S. chapter of the Friends Association as a separate 501-C3 entity. The Association is nevertheless grateful to donors willing to top-up their donations by 5% to cover these fees.

The Verbier Festival is an international classical music event that takes place each summer in the mountain town of Verbier, Switzerland. The Festival's mission is to build a community of exchange between great masters and young artists from all over the world and to be a leader in its field by providing meaningful music education programmes.

Launched in 1994, and now globally renowned, the Festival welcomes audiences with a distinctive and exhilarating blend of events, both large-scale and intimate. Audiences from around the globe come to experience music-making at the highest level in a setting that brings them close to star performers, rising talent and a complete process of learning, rehearsal and performance.

The Festival's Academy is its respiratory system—a laboratory where future talents are discovered and nurtured. It sets the gold standard for the training of emerging soloists, chamber and orchestral musicians, singers and conductors. The Mahler Chamber Orchestra (MCO) was founded in 1997 based on the shared vision of being a free and international ensemble, dedicated to creating and sharing exceptional experiences in classical music. With 45 members spanning 20 different countries at its core, the MCO works as a nomadic collective of passionate musicians uniting for specific tours in Europe and across the world.

Virtuoso & Belcanto Festival's mission encompasses the mentoring of gifted international young classical musicians & singers.

The Virtuoso & Belcanto Festival was conceived by classical pianist and professor, Riccardo Cecchetti, its Artistic Director and President. Drawing on his experience as artistic and organizational consultant for classical musical initiatives in Spain and Italy, in 2016 Riccardo founded the Virtuoso & Belcanto Festival in Lucca, Italy.



From Cecchetti’s passion to create an opportunity made by musicians, to support musicians of the future, and to welcome classical music lovers from all over the world, the Festival quickly established itself as one of the most important initiatives dedicated to classical music in Europe.



The Festival’s groundbreaking proposal was based on three closely interrelated elements:



- Educational programs and master classes lead by prestigious international musicians;

- Competitions for the young participants of the Master Classes Program;

- Concerts given by visiting artists and the most accomplished students enrolled in the Festival.



These elements informed the creation of a program rich in public events offered in unique locations in Lucca and Tuscany, including concerts given by prestigious guest artists and some of the most talented young musicians from all over the world, as well as lectures, meetings with artists, and exhibitions and workshops, all in keeping with the musical mission of the Festival. 



Many of the most renowned musicians, worldwide, enthusiastically embrace our project including Alfred Brendel, Bruno Giuranna, Boris Berman, Imogen Cooper, Viviane Hagner, Kim Kashkashian, Alain Meunier, Claudio Bohórquez, etc.



The primary mission of the Virtuoso & Belcanto Festival is to promote and nurture talented young musicians. Winners of the Virtuoso & Belcanto competitions - all of whom are students of our courses - have launched prestigious careers. Among the many of them are, notably, the Leonkoro Quartet who won the 1st Prize in two of the most prestigious international competitions in 2022: the Concours International de Quatuor à Bordeaux and the International String Quartet Competition held at London's Wigmore Hall, earning 1st Prize and a collection of nine special awards, including interpretations, residencies, and concert prizes. The Leonkoro Quartet immediately embarked on an impressive international career.



The Festival, organized by the Association Virtuoso & Belcanto APS, has developed a profound network of international collaborators, important among which is the Populäre Konzerte Concerts Season at the Berlin Philharmonie, which has been held in Berlin for 66 years. Our collaboration with the Berlin Philharmonie brings the very finest of the young soloists selected from Virtuoso & Belcanto Festival to perform in the Philharmonie’s season's concerts, accompanied by the Sinfonie Orchester Berlin and in the world's most prestigious concert hall. Additionally, we collaborate with many other organizations throughout Europe such as the ORT (Orchestra della Toscana); Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti Napoli; and Nova Orchester Wien in Vienna: we anticipate establishing many more such collaborations. Over the years, twin festivals have already been established in Norway (Grimstad) and Spain (Osuna), and others are in the works, including in the United States.

Virtuoso & Belcanto APS

Stringendo is a 501c3 organization focused on the arts. It is based in Poughkeepsie, NY and received its nonprofit status in 2009.

Stringendo music school nurtures a diverse group of young string players to become passionate musicians and accomplished performers.  Through orchestra concerts and fiddle gigs, in private lessons and summer music camps, students cultivate life skills: the ability to listen, to lead and, above all, to work together to achieve the extraordinary.

Stringendo maintains a generous financial aid program, and no student is ever turned away due to financial need.   We work hard to extend services into areas that have been traditionally underserved, and our most recent partnership with students in the City of Poughkeepsie has been wildly successful. Our PK Strings group offers after-school classes and musical instruments to motivated students in Poughkeepsie’s elementary, middle, and high school grades, teaching the basics and providing transportation to Saturday classes and Summer Camp, as well as instruments and meals when needed.

Tuition is always kept affordable, well below "industry standard," to make string education accessible to all.   As a result, our Saturday Orchestra program, Tuesday Fiddle Program and Summer Camp attract students from all over the Hudson Valley and beyond.   Our student retention rate is extremely high and many of our older students volunteer as mentors/counselors to our younger students as part of our "morning helper" and "fiddle helper" programs.   Once graduated, many of our students return, either as teachers, camp counselors, workshop instructors, or as visiting alumni, creating a strong and vibrant community of string players at all ages and abilities.     Our goal is to continue to expand our reach, to be sure that any child interested in playing a string instrument has the resources and ability to do so.  Donations received will help us continue to provide the high caliber of string education Stringendo has become known for.

Keys of Change is a charity formed by individuals who deeply believe that playing music can make this world a better place. Keys of Change aims to advance the lives of children and young people around the world through musical education and access to live classical music performances. The charity was set up in early 2011 by the international concert pianist Panos Karan, who works with three other trustees, all involved in music and/or education, and a growing number of committed volunteers in many countries.  ​ Over the past years, Keys of Change has brought classical music, often for the first time, to deprived or suffering audiences, in remote areas of the Amazon basin, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Kolkata and the tsunami-ravaged Fukushima area in Japan, as well as in Greece, Russia and London. Our music has brought alive emotions - fascination, happiness, tears of sadness – and generated hope and encouragement.  Wherever we go to perform, we also set up and fund musical education projects, working in conjunction with local music teachers. In Ecuador, we organise weekly guitar lessons for young people from deprived backgrounds. In Uganda and Sierra Leone, we have provided instruments and music lessons. In Fukushima and India, we have made regular visits to work with young musicians to improve their playing, and give them the opportunity to perform in joint concerts with Keys of Change musicians. In the case of Fukushima this culminated in the founding of the Fukushima Youth Sinfonietta, and organising for up to 50 young Japanese musicians to travel to London, to give a concert at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in April 2014, to Tokyo, performing at Tokyo Opera City in August 2015, and Symphony Hall, Boston, in April 2016.

2. The Next Stage Initiative: innovation behind and beyond the stage 

In 2021, FEDORA and Opera Europa launched  the Next Stage Initiative  to trigger change and recovery in the opera and dance field as a response to the shock of the pandemic on the sector. This initiative provides financial support and skills development to boost innovation through sustainability, inclusivity, and digital transformation.

The Next Stage Grants financially support projects that help create new industry standards and opportunities. Moreover, through the Next Stage Forums, professional development and trainings will be provided to management and artistic teams to boost knowledge sharing and peer-learning.  The first five recipients of the first edition of the Next Stage Grants were awarded this year. These transformative projects in the fields of opera and dance will drive innovation through sustainability, inclusivity and digital transformation. They involve 13 cultural organisations in 9 countries in Europe and were awarded €250,000, thanks to the support of a private foundation.

c89.5 is a listener-supported, non-commercial radio station owned by the Seattle Public Schools and operated by professional adult staff and students in the electronic media program at Nathan Hale High School. The station is almost entirely self-funded: over 95% of its operating revenue comes from listener donations and local businesses.

Over 150,000 listeners throughout Puget Sound tune to c89.5 every week for a diverse range of music celebrating individual differences and focusing on the joy in life. The station reaches a broad range of listeners, with a high concentration in both the 18-24 and 45-54 age ranges. Over 30% of c89.5 listeners identify as LGBTQ+.

c89.5 supports the personal and professional growth of our students, giving them the skills and confidence to succeed in careers in media and other professions. Our students gain practical experience in digital media production, public speaking, and professional presentation. Many of our alumni have gone on to careers in journalism, radio, television, and digital media.

The station is also a pioneer and worldwide leader in dance music, monitored by Nielsen and by MediaBase, and one of eight stations tracked for the Billboard Dance chart.

The Pollinator Program is like a virtual residency of mutual support. Participants get matched with a small cohort of compatible peers, and work on your new website in good company.

**How it Works**

1. Get invited to join: All members are alumni from our network of vetted residencies, fellowships, and cultural institutions.
2. Match with an aligned peer circle: We place you in a dedicated cohort with five other members. These are your people. (One might even be your creative soulmate?)
3. Learn a new goal-setting method: Join video calls with your circle each week, guided by our curriculum.
4. Make real connections, and real progress: join the next Program cycle to continue cross-pollinating.

We build collaborative technology for artists, by artists. We believe in the magic of human-to-human intelligence and see Pollinator as a way to strengthen cultural ecosystems through peer-to-peer connection.

Pollinator Co-Directors Caroline Woolard and Or Zubalsky are artists, educators, and technologists who have been collaborating for 15 years. From 2008-2018, they built and maintained TradeSchool.coop, an international peer-to-peer learning platform that was used in 30 cities internationally. Caroline Woolard is the co-founder of Art.coop, a national network of art and design cooperatives, and the co-author of Making and Being, a book about collaborative pedagogy. Zubalsky and Woolard have taught for over a decade at The New School, Rhode Island School of Design, Cooper Union, the School of Visual Arts, the University of New Mexico, Bennington College, George Washington University, and the University of Hartford. Zubalsky and Woolard got together to build Pollinator with a team of aligned engineers in 2024. The team at Minima has worked together since 2014 to deliver cutting-edge software-based solutions for corporate clients. Minima has built and managed widely used web, mobile, and server-side applications, including Apple's Music TV. Minima builds complex systems that scale, are maintainable, and cost effective. Minima prioritizes the end user across axes of accessibility, security, communication, and simplicity.

Self Enquiry Life Fellowship is a nonprofit organization with worldwide outreach guided by the monastic wisdom of the Hansavedas Mission. The Nonprofit, with its headquarters in California, preserves indigenous knowledge from the Sanskrit heritage, including: extant literature on spiritual philosophy that is meaningful to modern inquiry; spiritual practices of Vedic antiquity that bring about peace in our communities through mindful participation; Himalayan yoga-vinyāsa and Ayurveda that promote wellness and mindfulness in daily living; and Himalayan meditation techniques of unbroken lineages which bring about mental clarity and compassion through self-empowerment, ultimately guiding the meditator to liberation.
