Disease Prevention

Our cornerstone project was building East & Central Africa's 1st Public Children's Hospital. Since opening in 2015, we have treated over 1.3 million kids. The impact does not end there, we have also constructed six public (free-to-attend) schools, a dairy project, a kids community house and more. We also run a vibrant Women's Empowerment Project focusing on agri-biz and domestic violence survivors. Our latest major project is constructing the first children's cancer hospital in sub-Saharan Africa.

Cian’s 2 x Marathon Fundraiser

Hi everyone At the end of October, I will be running two marathons in a week (Dublin and New York) in aid of Shoe4Africa. Shoe4Africa is a hugely impactful not-for-profit charity established in New York in 2006 and dedicated to improving the lives of children in Africa. It built East and Central Africa’s first public children’s hospital, which has treated over 1.3 million children . It established six free-to-attend schools , generated hundreds of jobs, all while distributing over 8  million meals  to those in need. Shoe4Africa’s current key project is the construction of the first children’s cancer hospital in sub-Saharan Africa, where cancer diagnoses often comes with no access to treatment. Every cent raised helps bring the hospital to reality. I appreciate any donation you can make. All donations go directly to Shoe4Africa. Many thanks. Cian

Ryan Dailey's NYC Marathon Fundraiser (Shoe4Africa)

Over the past year, I started running regularly , and I am running my first marathon with my Dad. On November 3rd, I will be running the New York City Marathon , as a member of the Shoe4Africa team . I'm dedicating my race to bring about change for less fortunate children in Africa who are suffering from cancer while living in poverty. Currently, a staggering 9 out of 10 children diagnosed with cancer in sub-Saharan Africa do not survive, but our team is determined to change this by building the region's first Children's Cancer Hospital. I am asking for your support. My goal is to raise $3,000 for Shoe4Africa , supporting their vital work to improve healthcare and outcomes for these children. *All donations are tax-deductible! Thank you, Ryan Dailey What is Shoe4Africa? Shoe4Africa is a dedicated NYC charity with a unique approach: one employee and no rented office space. Little overhead allows 100% of your donation to go directly to their projects. The current major initiative is the Children's Cancer Hospital project, aimed at reversing the tragic statistic that 9 out of 10 children diagnosed with cancer in Sub-Saharan Africa do not survive.
