Puyallup Food Bank

Founded in 1972, the Puyallup Food Bank serves as a center of relief, generosity, and hope for individuals and families facing hardship throughout Pierce County and surrounding communities. We believe that food is the first step on a person's journey toward a more hopeful future, and we are committed to ensuring that every neighbor is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

As a volunteer-led organization supported by dedicated staff, we leverage warehousing, transportation, and logistics expertise to rescue and distribute large quantities of high-quality surplus food that might otherwise go to waste. Through these efforts, we help increase access to nutritious food while reducing environmental waste across the region.

Our work extends beyond food distribution. Through resource navigation, collaborative partnerships, and one-on-one support, we help connect neighbors with services, opportunities, and relationships that can contribute to greater stability and well-being. We view hospitality as a vital part of our mission and strive to create welcoming environments where every person feels valued and cared for.

The Puyallup Food Bank also serves as a convener and collaborator, bringing together nonprofits, businesses, faith communities, government agencies, and volunteers to address community challenges more effectively.
