Support the MedellĂn Philharmonic Orchestra

In Medellín, there’s an orchestra that doesn’t just perform music—it reinvents it. The Orquesta Filarmónica de Medellín brings symphonic music to unexpected places, creates powerful collaborations, and transforms lives through every note.

What makes us truly unique is our approach. We are the first orchestra in Latin America to build a business model that is sustainable and future-focused. Our work isn’t just about ticket sales and donations—we create innovative programs that generate revenue, empower our community, and ensure long-term impact. We’re setting the example for other cultural organizations, showing that sustainability isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a reality we’re creating.

We’ve performed at psychiatric hospitals and conflict zones. We’ve created a choir for people affected by the armed conflict. We’ve built a mental health program for executives and designed learning experiences that help companies solve real-world challenges—through music.

We’ve played alongside legends, premiered daring new works, and turned shopping malls and rural parks into concert halls. We’ve taken the stage at international festivals, and we’ve stood by our community in its hardest moments.

Supporting Filarmed isn’t an act of charity. It’s an act of belief. It’s joining a movement that uses music to build community, awaken imagination, and spark change.

Every donation fuels concerts that surprise, programs that heal, and ideas that grow. If you’ve ever felt goosebumps in a performance, if you’ve ever thought “more people need to experience this,” if you’ve ever wondered how to be part of something that matters—this is your moment.

Give today. Be part of the story.

Join our annual giving campaign - Fundraiser Gala

Join us for our very first gala in support of the Filarmed in Medellín on August 21. Can’t make it? We’ll miss you, but you can still show your support with a donation! In Medellín, there’s an orchestra redefining what music can do. The Orquesta Filarmónica de Medellín brings symphonic music to unexpected places, builds bold collaborations, and changes lives—note by note. We’re the first orchestra in Latin America with a sustainable, future-focused business model. Beyond performances, we create innovative, revenue-generating programs that empower our community and inspire global change. We’ve performed in psychiatric hospitals and conflict zones, launched choirs for victims of violence, designed corporate wellness programs, and turned malls into concert halls, bringing art to unexpected places and turning audiences into communities. Supporting Filarmed isn’t charity—it’s a statement. A belief in the power of music to heal, connect, and transform. Your gift makes it all possible. If you’ve ever felt moved by music, this is your moment. Donate today. Be part of the movement.

Soy Musico: Music for Inclusion and Transformation

Soy Musico: Music for Inclusion and Transformation   Imagine a place where the power of music transcends barriers, boosting the potential within young minds often overlooked by society. At Filarmed, we believe in the transformative power of music. Our award-winning Soy Musico program allows us to impact the lives of over 110 neurodiverse teens and young adults between the ages of 14 and 30 years, who find purpose and real-life skills through music. Through your generosity, we can continue to offer free monthly workshops where participants not only learn to play instruments but also develop essential life skills and build meaningful connections. Participants engage in structured sessions that culminate in a final concert, showcasing their progress alongside our orchestra.   The program received the prestigious Kennedy Center Lead Award for its commitment to arts and accessibility, demonstrating its impact on the community and making us the first international organization to obtain the award outside the United States.  Key Highlights for Potential Donors: Participation and Impact:   Over 110 participants engaged monthly, with 30-45 attendees per workshop.  100% of participants achieved high scores in over 80% of skill areas.  95% retention rate among participants.  Skills Development:   General music skills: listening, coordination, music score comprehension.  Socio-emotional skills: emotional communication, peer relationships, focus.  Advanced training in orchestral skills and composition for advanced group members.  Career Advancement:   Several program members have pursued careers in music.  Future Goals (2025 and Beyond):   Expand training and accessibility, including audio description services and braille music scores.  Increase outreach to underserved areas and enhance specific instrument training.  Host the Soy Musico Fest, promoting neurodiverse entrepreneurs and showcasing participant talents.   Recognition:   First organization to win a Kennedy Center Lead Award for emerging leaders in arts and accessibility.   Join us in creating a symphony of hope and inclusivity for neurodivergent individuals. Your contribution can make all the difference. Will you help us keep the music playing?  Become one of our donors today by joining this fundraiser.
