Soy Musico: Music for Inclusion and Transformation
Imagine a place where the power of music transcends barriers, boosting the potential within young minds often overlooked by society. At Filarmed, we believe in the transformative power of music. Our award-winning Soy Musico program allows us to impact the lives of over 110 neurodiverse teens and young adults between the ages of 14 and 30 years, who find purpose and real-life skills through music. Through your generosity, we can continue to offer free monthly workshops where participants not only learn to play instruments but also develop essential life skills and build meaningful connections. Participants engage in structured sessions that culminate in a final concert, showcasing their progress alongside our orchestra.
The program received the prestigious Kennedy Center Lead Award for its commitment to arts and accessibility, demonstrating its impact on the community and making us the first international organization to obtain the award outside the United States.
