Karen's Club

In just a few short weeks I (Karen) will be celebrating an incredible milestone. According to the American Cancer Society, I will be one of the 12% of Metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer patients to reach a 5 year survival rate. Fighting for the opportunity to participate in a clinical trial taught me the importance of self advocacy and making an informed choice about treatment options. Our mission is simple: ensure ALL people have the information and support they need to engage with clinical trials as a treatment option. Communities of color have historically been disenfranchised from cutting edge medicine, by medical racism and the deep distrust it has instilled. Karen's Club brings information and support directly from individuals of color who've been through and conducted trials, who can engage directly, truthfully and openly about their experience. Your donation will ensure we can continue to provide consistent peer support to patients and caregivers in need, run regular webinars connecting patients and researchers, and train patient navigators and other providers to dispense culturally competent care and support.

Over the past year we’ve watched as our members improved their health literacy, embraced self-advocacy, engaged in clinical research, and make informed decisions. We are proud to support our members in their personal journeys as they’ve gone on to become viable speakers, panel participants and authors in the medical ecosystem. Help us continue to assist patients and caregivers by providing critical educational programming and our free 1:1 private consultation service with a patient advisor. In addition, your donation allows Karen’s Club to continue to partner with medical researchers for our impactful Karen’s Club Webinar Series.
