Girls and women remain underrepresented in STEM, making up only about 26%–35% of the workforce, despite earning the majority of college degrees overall. While women hold 45–47% of roles in life and physical sciences, they represent only 15–17% of engineers and 20–26% of computer workers. (Census.gov). Help our girls in our community learn about careers in STE(A)M (STEM + A -because arts are just as important!), get hands on experience in topics like architecture, weather, engineering, math and more! Your support will provide supplies and support staff to facilitate STE(A)M programming for our afterschool and summer programming.
