Our Story
Founded in 2016, Aguas Foundation is a non-profit committed to solving one of Argentina’s most urgent challenges: access to safe drinking water. We focus on rural communities where water scarcity and contamination threaten health and well-being every day.
Why It Matters
More than 7 million people in Argentina—1 in 5—lack safe water. Many live in arid regions where families walk long distances for water, often unsafe to drink. In other areas, groundwater is contaminated with arsenic, causing serious health risks for thousands.
Our Mission
We work hand-in-hand with communities to guarantee safe water access as a human right. Through education, training, and local empowerment, we create sustainable solutions that last.
What We Do
Our projects combine four pillars:
- Education – Promoting awareness, health, and good water practices through schools and community programs.
- Quality – Assessing water sources and infrastructure to design the right solutions.
- Technology – Installing safe, sustainable systems with active community involvement.
- Community Development – Building local capacity for long-term water management.
Since 2022, our partnership with UNICEF has expanded our reach in provinces like Chaco and Salta—yet our vision is national: an Argentina where everyone can exercise their right to safe water.
