The Safe Water Fund operates as a 501(c)(3) project, supporting the implementation of long-term, sustainable safe water programs worldwide. We partner with grassroots organizations and local leaders to identify and reach communities and families most in need.

In addition to our retail-funded Give-Back program, the Safe Water Fund provides safe water during humanitarian emergencies and natural disasters. We also lead special initiatives in the cities where our employees live, including at our headquarters in Baltimore City, and participate in Giving Tuesday efforts each year.

**Who We Are**

KMLX began as the Philanthropic Arm of the Odesa, Ukraine musical group [Kommuna Lux](https://kommunalux.com/).  When war came to their country in 2022, these musicians soon realized they could do more good with their instruments than with guns.  They began touring Europe to support charitable causes in Odesa.  [This video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOIU5HF19XA) shows some of the ways they spent their donations that year.

That success led them to the USA, where they founded this 501-c3 nonprofit to streamline the donation process.  Soon two more music groups joined the cause, sending money to additional projects.

99.9% of your donation goes to Ukraine.  We have no paid staff, no office, no overhead--our only "administrative costs" are for our annual business license, wire transfer fees when we send money to Ukraine, and occasional supplies. **2026 Update:**  Exciting times ahead!  Continuing with our partnerships with the bands Yagody and Vopli Vidipliassova, we have multiple tours happening this year.  Look at our Projects to see how the different bands are distributing their donations.

Kommuna Lux continues to explore options with the Rotary Club of Ukraine, after successfully funding the Burn Unit Beds project for hospitals at the front lines.  The project for Odesa is now halfway funded, thanks to a generous contribution by the Rotary Club of Ithaca, NY after our concert in September.

**2025 Update**:  Our success has taken a new turn!  Several other bands from Ukraine are also raising funds through KMLX!

- [Vopli Vidopliassova (VV)](https://www.krainamriy.com/en/gurt-vv)--Ukraine’s legendary pioneers of punk, rock, and folk —  return to North America with a powerful 40th Anniversary Tour, using their voice not only to celebrate Ukrainian resilience, but to mobilize global solidarity. All charity efforts from the tour support[ Misto Dobra](https://misto-dobra.com.ua/en/home/) (The City of Goodness), a Ukrainian shelter offering emergency care, housing, and rehabilitation for women and children affected by war. Donations are directed through the [Kraina Mriy Foundation, ](https://www.olegskrypka.com/)founded by VV’s frontman Oleg Skrypka, one of Ukraine’s most trusted cultural and humanitarian platforms.

**Our Rotary Club Connection**

Kommuna Lux decided to tour the United States in 2023, in hopes of connecting with Americans, raising awareness and empathy for the war in Ukraine, and raising some money too.  The tour was a huge success on all fronts!  Donations were so generous that we founded this 501-c3 nonprofit for our future tours. With two US tours planned in 2024, the band felt like they could strive for something greater than the small, local Odesa projects they had always supported in the past.  They soon found a willing partner in the [Rotary E-Club of Ukraine](https://rotaryeclubukraine.org.ua/), who had numerous projects in need of funds.  The musicians decided to help supply a new type of hospital bed for victims of severe burns, to hospitals serving the front lines.  That project was funded and completed in 2025!

Now the band has chosen to support two Rotary projects dedicated to children:  [the construction of a new playground in their beloved Odesa](https://rotaryd2232ukraine.org/rcprojects/christmas24/project?prid=133), and a larger project titled "Ukrainian Children Don't Have a Stop Button: Early Intervention Services in Conflict Zones."  For every dollar donated at a Kommuna Lux concert, 30% will go directly to these Rotary projects. 

The other 70% of your donation will support our regular grassroots causes, such as food, water, and medicine to besieged cities, bomb shelters and other safety projects in our hometown of Odesa, and our direct support of the heroes at the front with supplies, tools, and vehicles.

Aquatic Life Institute (ALI) was founded in 2019 to address the critical and often overlooked issue of aquatic animal welfare. In January 2023, 14-month-old Virgil VanKleek was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. Ibn Asheer supports international medical relief projects by collecting durable/reusable medical equipment and other donated supplies from health care entities in the US and shipping them to developing countries. Evidence Action was founded in 2013 to address a big gap in the fight against global poverty – many of the most promising interventions are either implemented at a very small scale, or not at all. **Programs:**

**Safe Water Now**

We provide sustained safe water access to communities through water treatment – one of the most cost-effective ways to prevent childhood illnesses and death. Safe Water Now programming in Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, and India uses innovative, low-cost approaches like chlorine dispensers and automatic in-line chlorination. With local government and community buy-in, we reach nearly 10 million people with safe water access and have saved the lives of more than 15,000 children under 5 years old. Now, we are scaling in partnership with the Government of India to reach tens of millions more.

**Deworm the World** 

We help improve children's health, education, and long-term wellbeing by treating parasitic worm

infections at schools. In partnership with governments in Kenya, Nigeria, India, and Pakistan, Evidence Action designs, scales, and sustains cost-effective mass deworming programs. Since 2014, Deworm the World has helped governments deliver 2 billion deworming treatments to children, dramatically reducing worm prevalence and collectively increasing economic productivity by an estimated $23 billion USD.

**Equal Vitamin Access**

We combat the leading cause of childhood malnutrition and disability in low- and middle-income countries by helping to deliver essential supplementation. Equal Vitamin Access provides end-to-end support to governments in India and Malawi to address anemia by leveraging our school-based deworming platform to offer iron and folic acid supplementation cost effectively. In 2023 alone, our program reached 35.8 million children with weekly treatments, giving them a

better chance to develop into strong, healthy adults.

**Syphilis-Free Start**

We safeguard the health of pregnant women and their unborn children by enabling access to low-cost syphilis screening and treatment as part of prenatal care. We partner with governments in Liberia, Cameroon, and Zambia to prevent disability, neonatal

mortality, and stillbirths resulting from congenital syphilis. Syphilis-Free Start’s timely detection and treatment prevented 2,300 adverse outcomes such as blindness, neurological issues, and hearing loss between 2021 and 2023, including 1,300 lives saved.

Krista's Legacy Foundation (KLF) extends the late Krista Roth’s impact (4/22/99 - 1/20/21) by advancing the causes about which she was most passionate - Rainforest Restoration, Clean Water and Education. As the result of a childhood dream, Krista's Rainforest Sanctuary project started in the Monteverde Cloud Forest of Costa Rica with funds raised on what would have been Krista's 22nd birthday on Earth Day (April 22) 2021. In honor of her desire to help solve the world's water crisis, KLF works in partnership with Can Do Kids International in Kenya. Since 1996, Amazon Watch has defended the Amazon rainforest and our climate in solidarity with Indigenous peoples. Long-term, trusted partnerships with Indigenous peoples — the best stewards of the rainforest — are the foundation for Amazon Watch’s campaigns for climate justice, corporate accountability, and the permanent protection of the rainforest.

The Amazon is home to more than 511 distinct Indigenous peoples. As our planet’s largest tropical rainforest, it stabilizes our global climate and an immense amount of Earth’s biodiversity and flowing freshwater can be found there. This vital ecosystem and the Indigenous peoples who have stewarded it for centuries face grave threats from deforestation, resource extraction, land grabs, and destructive development projects. The Amazon is facing a tipping point and won't be able to sustain itself as a rainforest if we remain on our current path of destruction.

To move to a turning point, Amazon Watch is carrying out campaigns in partnership with Indigenous peoples to secure Indigenous rights to ancestral territories, halt oil drilling and mining in the biome, and mobilize solidarity funds directly to Amazonian peoples at their request. Their work combines on-the-ground legal, advocacy, and communications expertise and long-term trusted partnerships with Indigenous peoples and organizations.

The name Kids In Crisis originated as a result of what the founders witnessed in the late 1990s in Gypsy communities in northwest Romania. They witnessed children truly in crisis. Children so impoverished it was not unusual to see them walking barefoot in the snow. All were illiterate and hopelessness was everywhere you looked.

This endeavor is close to the Father’s heart. Luke 18:16 reads, “But Jesus called the children to Him and said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.’ Bring the little children unto me.’” This is our call and commission to bring the Love of Jesus to children in need.

We consider and approach theatrical art, sociodrama, music, the body and performance, from a liberating and transformative role, through a decolonial and abolitionist perspective (anti-racist, anti-extractivist, anti-classist, anti-patriarchal), facing the social realities of our communities and their struggles for land and territory. In our collective, community organization and art as a means of expression and social denunciation prevail over the vision of the arts as spectacle and entertainment.

Empower women, girls and youth in Kenya! 

Founded in 2010, Dandelion Africa is a non-profit grass-roots organisation located in the Kenyan Rift Valley that seeks to improve the health and economic livelihoods of women and youth in marginalized areas. The organisation's vision is to contribute to opportunities for rural marginalized women, girls and youth to improve their health, economy and education through creating safe spaces for them to receive information and services that will improve their lives and alleviate poverty.  Dandelion Africa's governance structure consists of two boards: an advisory board that provides strategic direction and oversight, and a community board that directly represents the communities for which the organisation works. The community board, that comprise of youth, village elders, heads of schools and those living with HIV and disability, keeps the organisation grounded and responsive to the needs and priorities of the community. The day-to-day operations are managed by a secretariat that is headed by the Founder and Executive Director, Aszed Wendo.  Dandelion Africa's programmes are centered on four main principles, namely human rights, empowerment, knowledge and transparency.  Currently, Dandelion Africa runs four programs outlined below: - Women's Empowerment - Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) - Girls for Leaders, Boys for Change - Right(s) Way Forward, a community-based governance program that aims at empowering communities to access their rights to public resources and services. SPECIES RECOVERY
The EWT has achieved remarkable gains for many species, where downward trends in the local populations of Wattled and Grey Crowned Cranes, Piggersgill’s Frogs, the Amathole Toad, and the Riverine Rabbit have joined the Cheetah as species on a pathway to recovery. Critically Endangered
Wattled Cranes are increasing in number, now estimated at some 320 birds nationally, up 60% from their lowest numbers. The EWT has also helped reverse the decline of Endangered Grey Crowned Cranes, while Blue Crane numbers have increased from an estimated 25,500 birds nationally in 2007 to some 30,000 birds today.
SPACE FOR SPECIES
Through our range expansion work, we have secured and protected safe spaces for multiple species to thrive and we have reintroduced many threatened species back into secure and suitable landscapes. Safe space for African Wild Dogs has increased to over 1.4 million ha throughout southern Africa and their numbers and generic health have followed suit. Safe space for Cheetahs and their numbers have also increased from 217 Cheetahs on 41 reserves in South Africa in 2011, to 470 Cheetahs on 65 reserves covering over two million hectares across southern Africa.

SAFEGUARDING OUR SPECIES
To protect threatened species, we monitor them and work with partners, businesses, landowners, and communities to reduce the threats they face. We are innovating to achieve bigger impacts, as evident in our drone project’s expansion to use drones to mark power lines - reducing bird strikes safely and affordably and monitor Southern Right Whales in a way that wasn’t possible before. We continue to explore the use of eDNA to identify the presence of elusive and potentially extinct species, such as
Van Zyl’s and De Winton’s Golden Moles, so that action can be taken to save the last of their habitats.

Our pioneering Eye in the Sky carcass and wildlife poisoning detection project has already saved thousands of animals from secondary poisoning as a result of its efficient and effective success and our quick response times. The project uses the movements and behavior patterns of GPS-tracked vultures to remotely detect potential poisoning events and respond to these rapidly, alerting rangers on the ground and preventing further loss of wildlife to poisoning. We also contribute to preventing wildlife crime through the deployment of Conservation K9s to detect wildlife contraband and track poachers. These dogs help us to protect species, including rhinos, elephants, and pangolins.

Protec􀆟ng and conserving natural places is one of the most important strategies for comba􀆫ng the effects of
biodiversity loss and climate change. The EWT conserves habitats by reducing habitat loss and improving the
ecological integrity of threatened ecosystems through rehabilita􀆟on, restora􀆟on, and sustainable land
management. Many of the EWT’s programmes are involved in habitat conservation, but two are dedicated to protecting specific habitats.

COLLABORATING FOR CONSERVATION
An effective vehicle for conserving habitats is the formal protection of land through Biodiversity Stewardship. We work with private and community landowners to legally declare their land as protected or help them to manage it sustainably and without damage to sensitive species and ecosystems.
The EWT was instrumental in the development of Biodiversity Stewardship, having facilitated the workshops which led to its establishment, and subsequently, the EWT has declared 185 properties (over 139,000 ha) as protected areas in the last
ten years and is currently in the process of securing a further 130,000 hectares for threatened species conservation across South Africa. This includes proper􀆟es in one of the region’s most important centres of endemism: the Soutpansberg Mountain Range. Easily recognized for our work to safeguard charisma􀆟c species like the Wild Dog and Cheetah, the EWT also played a key role in preventing the extinction of the Brenton Blue Butterfly by establishing a dedicated reserve for this endemic insect.  Other critical habitats have been protected to prevent the extinction of many smaller, lesser-known species, including rep􀆟les, amphibians, butterflies, golden moles, and threatened plants.

CARBON FOR CONSERVATION
After establishing the feasibility of carbon trading in South Africa’s grasslands and recognizing the potential benefits for farmers and grassland and wetland management, the EWT the EWT initiated the first carbon offsetting contracts with private landowners in South Africa, in the Drakensberg.
When landowners agree to conserve and manage their land to allow for the verifiable sequestration of carbon in the soil, the carbon can be converted into carbon credits. Liable ensures, usually big carbon emitters, can purchase up to 10% of their carbon as carbon credits to reduce their tax liability in South Africa. These purchases create a long-term revenue stream for farmers and conservation organizations to support conservation efforts and protect important habitats through improved land-use management.

People need nature to survive – it provides important resources we depend on. We must live in harmony
with nature to thrive in healthy ecosystems that will support us and future genera􀆟ons, our wildlife, and
maintain our rich natural and cultural heritage. Through two of its programmes, the EWT implements
innovative strategies that incorporate the needs of people and the environment to ensure that people
benefit from the more sustainable use of natural resources.
BENEFITTING PEOPLE
CAPACITY FOR CONSERVATION
Working across diverse landscapes such as wetlands,
grasslands, river catchments, savannahs, and mountains, the EWT has embraced the need to support the lives and livelihoods of thousands of people who depend on their local environment, from developing sustainable livelihoods as alternatives to environmentally destructive practices in communities from KwaZulu-Natal to Limpopo, Zambia, and as far as Uganda, to pioneering the implementation of Population, Health and Environment in communities in southern and East Africa to support sustainable communities and empower women. promotes and implements the education of school
learners and builds capacity for conservation and
ecotourism in communities across our project areas.

BIODIVERSITY AND BUSINESS
Recognizing the importance of biodiversity to business, the EWT established the National Biodiversity and Business Network (NBBN) in 2013 to work with innovative businesses to identify and manage the risks and opportunities resulting from their interactions with the natural world. Through its Biodiversity Disclosure Project, the NBBN helps companies to understand, measure, and disclose their biodiversity impacts and policies. The NBBN introduced the world’s first standardized accounting
framework, the Biological Diversity Protocol (BDP), which measures a business’ impact on biodiversity and identifies areas of improvement over time.  The EWT’s targeted conservation work has national and global impacts and our achievements contribute to multiple conservation-related frameworks. These include South Africa’s 2nd National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (2015–2025), and the National Biodiversity Assessment which assess the status of, and identify the biodiversity and ecosystem
management priori􀆟es as well as the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species. 

Arguably, the EWT’s most important global impact is our work toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed by the United Nations. The SDGs are a universal set of goals, targets, and indicators that UN member states should use to frame their agendas and political policies. Ambitious by nature, they are a government-led endeavor that serves to coordinate actions by United Nations agencies, businesses, non-governmental groups, and any other entities working on specific goals. These are
the goals that the EWT contributes to.

The Problem

In developing regions around the world, hundreds of millions of people live in rural areas on less than $2 per day. This level of poverty forces communities to make hard choices between food, health care, and education. It is the poverty level where an estimated 11 million children die every year. Many of these communities are not fits for traditional microfinance, which tends to be primarily urban, and significant portions of their land are not suitable for agriculture.

While there are many promising technical innovations and development programs which can increase crop yields, there remains a geographic limitation on markets where such increased yields can be sold.

The result is that there are farming communities all over the world who could be made much less economically vulnerable if there were a way to generate significant supplemental income from non-crop land usage which did not rely on physical distribution.

The proven potential of small-scale forestry carbon projects

Small-scale afforestation, reforestation, and agro-forestry programs have a proven track record of reaching such communities and for creating direct, significant, verifiable and lasting economic benefits for them. One of the most compelling ways to finance such activities is through the sale of carbon credits.

Such projects have faced a combination of serious challenges in selling their carbon credits. Many would-be customers and/or project investors dispassionately view carbon credits as a single-dimension environmental commodity, of which they are only able to technically value and pay for the environmental component. Relative to other project types, carbon credits from community-focused tree planting projects credits are issued in smaller quantities, they are issued more slowly, and they entail a variety of unique risks, albeit highly manageable ones.

Further, carbon projects entail significant startup, certification, and ongoing management costs. In order to cover their costs and maximize returns, project investors rationally prefer larger projects and shy away from geographically-fragmented, small-scale ones where return/profit potential opportunities do not pool in large amounts in any one place. This, in turn, means that more carbon market volume is transacted under carbon standards which favor large projects, and that in turn puts more momentum behind the market acceptance of such standards, tilting the playing field away from quality, community-focused standards like Plan Vivo.

The small-scale forestry carbon financing gap

The above set of factors has created a financing gap for community-focused forestry carbon projects, whereby project organizers are able often able to obtain a fair per-tonne price, at an early stage, and at volume – but rarely, if ever, are they able to attain all of these factors at the same time.  If this problem were solved, then the proven and multifaceted solution of small-scale forestry could rapidly expand, thereby lifting the poorest out of poverty, mitigating climate change, enhancing food security, and restoring landscapes at a much larger scale.

COTAP is founded on the belief that this financing gap, though understandable, is an unacceptable market failure – and a humanitarian injustice – given forestry carbon projects’ proven ability to reach and empower the world’s most vulnerable populations.  Who does COTAP believe can fill this gap? Individuals and organizations in developed countries.  Virtually all individuals in developed countries have unavoidable carbon footprints, and most are highly concerned about global warming, global poverty, or both.

The need for a crowdfunding intermediary

Every year, small-scale forestry projects plant trees which will result in the projected sequestration and long-term storage of tens of thousands of tonnes of CO2; however, the average annual individual CO2 footprint is relatively very small in comparison, CO2 footprints vary among individuals, and individuals have different preferences and budgets pertaining to how much of their footprint they wish to address.

COTAP is the critical intermediary which fills the gap between individuals and these poverty-alleviating projects by pooling together offset donations from many individuals and organizations and then working with projects to ensure that commensurate quantities of the offset they’ve generated will be retired, which means they cannot be re-sold.

The net effect is that, through COTAP, you’re indirectly employing the poorest people in the world to plant and maintain trees which counteract the emissions which you have not yet been able to eliminate.  This empowers you to fight both climate change and poverty with one tax-deductible donation, and it empowers our participating farmers by connecting them with funding that’s at an early stage in the planting cycle, at a fair price, and at significant volume.

COTAP’s Solution

COTAP makes individuals in developed countries, primarily the U.S., aware of the poverty-alleviating power of forestry carbon projects, and COTAP makes forestry carbon credits accessible to individuals in small amounts and as a tax-deductible donation.

COTAP sources carbon offset funds from those who care about both climate change and poverty alleviation, pools those funds, and transparently matches those funds with our partners’ forestry projects in order to fill the forestry carbon finance gap, restore landscapes, and create direct, significant, verifiable, and lasting benefits for the most economically vulnerable people in the world.

All of COTAP’s current portfolio projects are registered under the Edinburgh, Scotland-based Plan Vivo carbon accounting standard. With roots stretching back to a research project in Chiapas, Mexico in 1994, Plan Vivo is the longest-standing and most established forestry carbon accounting standard in the world. Plan Vivo is also the only carbon accounting standard which always requires projects to have detailed plans for direct payments to smallholders and community groups. Plan Vivo-accredited projects are projected to sequester over 1.3 million tonnes of carbon dioxide.

Addressing more financing gaps by being “vintage agnostic”

COTAP not only seeks to support upcoming planting seasons at an early stage, but also supports projects’ unsold credits from prior planting seasons or “vintages.” In our view, unsold Plan Vivo credits are a societal injustice just the same as the fact that these projects’ credits aren’t pre-sold in larger quantities and at earlier stages. COTAP is thus “vintage agnostic,” so as to pursue all of our projects’ funding opportunities and thereby fulfill our mission to the fullest possible extent. As COTAP scales, the issue of older vintages will become a moot point as we will have been instrumental as the buyer which ensured those credits were sold. About HOPE USA:

HOPE Charities USA is a volunteer-based nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization working to better the socioeconomic forefront of impoverished citizens in Pakistan.  Estimates of poverty in Pakistan range anywhere from 25 percent to almost 40 percent.  Health indicators suggest that it is the lack of accessible healthcare — not terrorism, drones or the energy crisis — that is the greatest adversity facing Pakistan.  Additionally, in a country where 60 percent of youth are illiterate and only 1 in 3 women can read and write, education becomes a scarce commodity which inhibits freedom from poverty.  HOPE USA’s mission is to end poverty in Pakistan through a calculated, multi-pronged interventional approach which focuses on Healthcare, Education, Vocational Training, Clean Water, and Disaster Relief.

Currently, HOPE has a countrywide presence throughout Pakistan which includes 4 Hospitals, 3 Formal Schools, 200 Informal Schools, 7 Vocational Centers, 1 Basic Health Clinic, 2 Mobile Health units, and 6 Maternal and Child Health Clinics.  Altogether we have grown to a network of hospitals and schools that treats over 750,000 patients per year, educates 11,000 students annually, and provides income-generating skills to over 2,000 young adults yearly; 70 percent of our beneficiaries are women and children.

All of HOPE USA’s health, education, and vocational training facilities provide free/nominal cost services to the impoverished. Additionally, HOPE has been on the frontlines of every emergency relief effort that has impacted Pakistan, from the 2005 Kashmir earthquake to the current 2022 catastrophic flooding crisis.  Our emergency relief efforts have generated aid to over 100,000 victims of natural disasters over the years and we have established 130 hand pumps in remote and rural areas to provide clean water to 130,000 people total.

As a nonprofit organization, HOPE USA has an outstanding record of performance. With almost 15 years of experience, we are currently at the stage where we are a small organization with tremendous impact potential.  Major corporations/governments have vetted us and trust our work.  Some recent grantors include Procter & Gamble, Paypal, Target Corporation, US Aid, Unicef, and the Centers for Disease Control. We are also the only authorized distributor of Procter & Gamble PuR water sachets in Pakistan which become critical during times of natural disasters such as the 2022 Pakistan Flood Crisis.

HOPE USA's Story:

Health Oriented Preventive Education (HOPE) was the inspiration of Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla, a pediatrician by profession who helped eradicate polio from Pakistan in the early stages of her career.  In 1997, while working in Karachi’s government-sponsored hospital for the needy, Civil Hospital (where she currently still practices), Dr. Mubina thought of a vision for the betterment of the citizens of her country.  She and a small band of volunteers joined forces to establish HOPE as a nonprofit governmental organization in Pakistan.  

Due to Dr. Mubina's medical background, HOPE's initial objective was to provide the poor with better access to medical centers and hospitals.  In a country grappling with basic issues such as lack of access to clean drinking water, poor maternal and infant health, malnutrition in children, prevention and treatment of diseases such as malaria, cholera, and tuberculosis, it already seemed as though HOPE had enough of a challenge on its hands.  

But soon Dr. Mubina realized that the cornerstone of a productive and forward-thinking community relies on both a healthy body and healthy mind.  She honed her vision to an integrative approach that was twofold: health and education.  Today, HOPE has evolved to an organization that prioritizes the health and education opportunities of underserved women and children in Pakistan.  HOPE aims to empower females with education and health so that they become self-sufficient and productive members of society. 

As a single woman in a male-dominated country, Dr. Mubina faced many challenges and setbacks; it was through perseverance and hard work that HOPE grew from a dream to a reality.  Today, HOPE has a countrywide presence throughout Pakistan which includes hospitals, formal schools, informal schools, vocational centers, basic health clinics, mobile health clinics, and maternal health clinics, all which provide free or minimal-cost healthcare and education.  Additionally, HOPE has been active in disaster relief efforts throughout Pakistan. 

In the course of 25 years, HOPE has emerged as a viable solution in bettering the socioeconomic forefront of the people of Pakistan, particularly women and children.

MY Arts Association for Cultural Support is an interdisciplinary non-profit organization founded in 2015 by Yury Revich. The project aims to develop a new format that unites a formal classical music concert with a multidisciplinary concert incorporating other art forms, known as the "Concert of Arts."

One of the main focuses of the organization is humanitarian work through the cultural tools.

In partnership with UNICEF, the organization is raising funds for projects like building schools and water systems. The project of MY Arts “Dreamland” successfully raised funds for providing 10 schools in Alepo with hygiene and water systems, campaign «COMIFAR & Friends per gli OSPEDALI» for 3 hospitals in Italy in cooperation with Comifar, UNICEF Emegerncy Funds, and most recently the Water Project in Malawi.

Supporting the young artists through the concept of “Concert of Arts” which is based on a synergistic and dialogical collaboration between music, visual arts, applied arts, theater, dance, and fashion, with the goal of opening new perspectives to hear art and see music.


We aim to connect young creatives with established artists, respecting tradition while also working on the concept of the multidisciplinary artist of the future.

The Port Royal Sound—a tidal inlet of the Atlantic Ocean—is the body of water that defines the Lowcountry of South Carolina, from the beaches of Hilton Head to the salt marshes of Beaufort. The mission of the Port Royal Sound Foundation (PRSF) is to conserve the Port Royal Sound for the environmental, cultural, and economic well-being of our area. PRSF strives to be the leading authority and advocate for the Port Royal Sound, providing and supporting education, research, and conservation initiatives to preserve it. 
PRSF began in 2011 and opened the doors to its FREE Maritime Center museum in 2014. We center our exhibits, events and programs around ecology, art, culture, history, and recreation to ensure meaningful, well-rounded engagement with our community and the Sound. We believe that high-quality educational activities and outdoor experiences should be accessible for all, regardless of limiting circumstances. For this reason, much of what we offer is free or has minimal program fees, and our funding comes largely from generous donors and grants.

•	Citizen Scientist Program: local community members and organizations assist in the collection and compilation of long-term, widespread water quality data in collaboration with USCB and Clemson Extension Adopt-A-Stream; 75+ volunteers sampling 19 sites across the county

•	State of the Sound Report: a comprehensive report that collects and analyzes historical data about water quality and the health of the Sound; currently being written, will be made available to the public and scientists to inform future research

Conservation
•	Annual Recycled Art Contest: 100+ entrants from schools, families, and amateur and professional artists make art displays with litter or items that would be recycled; art is displayed in the Maritime Center and a jury decides winners in multiple categories 
•	Litter pickups: quarterly clean of highway around the Foundation; volunteers average approximately 100 pounds of trash each time; 1,500 bags of litter kept out of the Sound since 2014

Being a coastal community comes with a lot of perks, as well as a lot of responsibility. The Casa Socio-Environmental Fund is an organization that promotes environmental conservation and sustainability, democracy, respect for socio-environmental rights and social justice through financial support to civil society initiatives and by strengthening their capacities in South America. We have pioneered the debate on socio-environmental philanthropy in Brazil since 2005. Our mission is to generate positive impact on very diverse territories, investing in the lives of those who care for them, and establishing connections between communities and organizations.

Listening to the demands of groups in need of support, understanding what can be done, and then helping them. Listening to feedbacks, understanding what has worked out and what has not, adjusting to the circumstances, and always improving. Whenever possible, we also seek to collect this type of feedback within our own team, where there is no power hierarchy, only different opinions and a great common goal.

Respect: there is no listening to people without respect. We assume everyone has a valuable viewpoint and an in-depth understanding of his/her own reality. We respect differences among cultures, regions, and biomes in order to maximize the impact of our support. We valorize and stimulate the protagonist place of each individual in the socio-environmental transformational process, as we believe that true change comes from the rank and file.

Trust: we trust the working capacity of each individual and each small group we support. We understand Casa Fund as a transitional space, not as a centralizing unit. We are a safe haven, we comfort the pain and uncertainties, ensuring the means to solutions, maximizing actions and opening pathways, but we are not the ones to carry out the projects.

Union: The sentence “union is strength” may sound like a cliché, but it is a motto for us. We aggregate and mobilize. The more people share our dreams of transformation, the greater will be our collective power.

Connection and collaboration: we exist to establish connections and promote collaboration. This does not mean we have to be always present or directly involved in all actions. For us, promoting joint work between two or more transformational agents is already super powerful! This way we manage to multiply our actions and actually have a significant impact on the world.

Our Numbers

Since its inception and up to 2022, the Casa Fund has supported 3,160 socio-environmental initiatives by NGOs and community groups in Brazil and South America. The grants totaled US$19 million.
