Chances Community Network
Investing in People. Building Economic Opportunity. Strengthening Communities.
Chances Community Network (CCN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing economic mobility and strengthening communities by connecting underserved youth, individuals, families, and emerging entrepreneurs with the education, skills, resources, mentorship, and opportunities needed to build sustainable futures.
CCN addresses economic inequity at its foundation. We recognize that communities cannot achieve lasting economic growth when residents lack access to quality training, entrepreneurship opportunities, technology, financial education, employment pathways, homeownership resources, and the networks that help turn potential into progress.
Our approach is centered on a simple principle: invest in people, and people will invest back in their communities.
Through entrepreneurship education, workforce readiness, financial capability, AI and technology skills, leadership development, mentorship, homeownership readiness, and strategic partnerships, CCN creates pathways that help participants move from learning to earning, earning to ownership, and ownership to long-term economic stability and wealth creation.
Y.E.L.L. — Youth Entrepreneurs Launch Lab
CCN's Youth Entrepreneurs Launch Lab (Y.E.L.L.) is an entrepreneurship and leadership development program designed to help young people ages 16–24 transform ideas, talents, and interests into viable business opportunities.
Participants move through a structured entrepreneurial journey that includes:
- Business idea development and validation
- Business models and planning
- Financial literacy and business finances
- Business formation and operational readiness
- Branding, marketing, and digital presence
- Website and technology development
- AI tools and emerging technology
- Leadership and professional development
- Mentorship and networking
- Pitch development and business launch preparation
Y.E.L.L. is about more than teaching young people how to start businesses. It is about helping develop the next generation of entrepreneurs, innovators, employers, and community leaders.
When young entrepreneurs learn how to create income, establish businesses, understand financial systems, use technology, and develop leadership skills, they become better positioned to create opportunities not only for themselves but also for their families and communities.
Sponsor-A-Seat — Removing the Cost Barrier to Opportunity
CCN's Sponsor-A-Seat initiative connects donor investment directly to opportunity.
Many talented individuals are unable to participate in high-quality training, certification, entrepreneurship, workforce, financial education, and professional development programs simply because they cannot afford the cost of participation.
Sponsor-A-Seat helps close that gap.
Contributions help provide eligible participants with access to educational and economic advancement opportunities that may include:
- Entrepreneurship training
- Workforce and career readiness
- Professional certifications
- AI and technology education
- Financial capability training
- Business development
- Coaching and mentorship
- Leadership development
- Homeownership and economic mobility resources
A sponsored seat represents much more than paying for a class. It provides someone with access to an opportunity that can change the direction of their economic future.
For donors, corporations, foundations, and community partners, Sponsor-A-Seat provides a meaningful way to invest directly in human potential, workforce development, entrepreneurship, and economic mobility.
Building a Stronger Economic Ecosystem
CCN approaches community development as an interconnected economic ecosystem.
Education alone is not enough. Employment alone is not enough. Entrepreneurship alone is not enough. Sustainable economic advancement occurs when people can move through a continuum of opportunities that ultimately lead toward greater financial independence and ownership.
CCN works to strengthen that continuum:
Education → Skills → Employment & Entrepreneurship → Income Growth → Business Formation → Homeownership → Asset Building → Wealth Creation → Community Reinvestment
This model creates a multiplier effect.
A young person who develops a business can become an employer.
A worker who earns a certification can increase household income.
An entrepreneur who establishes a sustainable company can purchase from other local businesses.
A financially prepared family can pursue homeownership and begin building assets.
A successful participant can become a mentor, employer, donor, or community leader for the next generation.
That is how individual opportunity becomes community economic advancement.
Why Donor Investment Matters
Donor support allows CCN to expand access for people who are often closest to opportunity but furthest from the resources required to reach it.
Investments in CCN can help provide participants with training, technology, educational resources, professional instruction, mentorship, certifications, business development support, financial education, and pathways toward employment and ownership.
Rather than addressing only the symptoms of economic hardship, CCN works to address some of its underlying causes by expanding access to:
Knowledge. Skills. Technology. Networks. Entrepreneurship. Employment. Financial capability. Ownership.
Every investment has the potential to generate impact beyond a single participant. When one person increases income, launches a business, gains employment, purchases a home, or becomes financially stronger, the benefits can extend to families, neighborhoods, businesses, and the broader regional economy.
A Partnership for Lasting Impact
CCN works to connect the nonprofit, business, banking, philanthropic, educational, governmental, and community sectors around a shared goal: creating stronger pathways to economic participation.
Through Y.E.L.L., Sponsor-A-Seat, and CCN's broader economic empowerment initiatives, donor investments become part of a larger strategy for rebuilding economic opportunity from within communities.
We are not simply asking donors to fund programs.
We are inviting donors to invest in people who can become entrepreneurs, skilled professionals, homeowners, employers, innovators, leaders, and future investors in their own communities.
Chances Community Network
Creating access. Developing people. Building ownership. Strengthening the economic ecosystem, one opportunity at a time.
