The CFA serves as a catalyst and focal destination for multi-generational arts education, creation, collaboration and enjoyment.
In partnership with our artists, donors, volunteers, patrons, sponsors, and community partners, The Center for the Arts Powers the Creative Life of the Sunapee Region of New Hampshire. Our mission is to drive cultural experiences in the visual, performing and literary arts that educate, entertain, and inspire, while contributing meaningfully to the economic vitality of the communities we serve. Our vision is to become a preeminent arts destination in New England, with “the arts” so woven into the fabric of this region that their presence is as defining as the landscape itself. We will get there by bringing world-class arts experiences to the heart of the Sunapee Region, providing a true home for regional artists (support, spaces, audience, community), connecting neighbors and visitors through shared creative experiences, making creativity accessible to everyone, and being a catalyst for the growth of the region’s economy.

Arts Education: Inspiring the Next Generation
Every child deserves the opportunity to explore their creativity, discover new interests, and experience the joy of making art. The Center for the Arts is working to bring engaging, hands-on arts education into local schools, beginning with our middle school students. As funding for arts education in public schools becomes increasingly limited, we want to help ensure that young people continue to have opportunities to create, experiment, and discover new ways to express themselves. Through this initiative, students will be introduced to new art materials, techniques, and creative experiences that encourage curiosity, build confidence, and help them see what’s possible through art. Your donation helps bring these opportunities into the classroom, connecting young people with meaningful creative experiences that can inspire them both in and beyond school. Together, we can help the next generation discover their creativity and keep the arts thriving in our community.

Youth Arts Scholarships: Opening Doors to Creativity
Every young person deserves the opportunity to discover their talents, explore their creativity, and experience the joy of learning through the arts, regardless of their family's financial circumstances. The Center for the Arts provides scholarship support to help young people access arts classes, workshops, and other creative learning opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach. From discovering a new artistic medium to developing skills and building confidence, these experiences can spark curiosity, encourage self-expression, and inspire a lifelong appreciation for the arts. Your donation helps reduce financial barriers for young people and gives more students the chance to learn, create, and grow through meaningful artistic experiences.
