Ada’s mission is to prepare women and gender expansive adults to be software developers while advocating for inclusive and equitable work environments. We primarily serve and address the needs of Black, Latine, Indigenous Americans, Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander, LGBTQIA+, and low-income people. Our tuition-free training program includes a collaborative learning environment, individualized support (mentors, tutors, a network of mental health supports, affinity groups), and an applied learning internship. We're seeking to secure impact funding by focusing on three particular areas that will create opportunities for underrepresented communities and solve education, economic and career advancement challenges:
Growth: At Ada Developers Academy, we’re working to explore ways to scale up to include more instruction, programming & curriculum design, and access essential operational resources to keep the Ada engine going. We’re seeking to expand throughout very diverse cities across the nation by collaborating with local government agencies and workforce development programs to strengthen these partnerships and execute successful regional rollout representation.
Community Impact: Funding will help Ada support our collaborative community projects, assist with offering our coding program to local community organizations and fund corporate partnership career training and co-created STEM workshops. Through this work, Ada can bridge community and corporate partnerships; from local impact-driven organizations to big tech. Ada is dedicated to contributing towards social impact and change for good!
Workforce Readiness Programs: Funding will help Ada design in-demand, tech up-skilling workshops and courses. Valuable resources would include one-on-one mentorship sessions with experienced professionals, job placement support and access to recruitment conferences and events. With the support from various dedicated philanthropists, we are one step closer to achieving a truly diverse and equitable tech industry!
