CarbonPH: Help Us Restore Cebu’s Forests and Watersheds
As global temperatures continue to rise, an urgent threat faces the 71,000 hectares of forest land in need of restoration in Cebu, Philippines. After years of deforestation, climate change has left parts of the province vulnerable to flooding, diminishing water sources, and decreasing forest cover. By implementing innovative solutions, CarbonPH works with local communities to restore their forests and watersheds , strengthening biodiversity to secure a more sustainable future for Cebu. What is CarbonPH? CarbonPH is Aboitiz Foundation’s reforestation and biodiversity conservation project that intertwines innovative technology with nature-based solutions to protect the forests and the only watershed in the Central Cebu Protected Landscape in the Philippines. Our Goals For the first phase of this program, we aim to reach USD $100,000 that will be used to support the planting of 100,000+ trees in the heart of Cebu. With your continued support, we can reach our final goal of planting 1,000,000 trees to strengthen climate resilience and environmental outcomes in the Philippines. AuroraPH: Help us Power Up 300 Rural Schools
Over 2,000 schools in the most rural areas in the Philippines remain disconnected from the digital world due to the inaccessibility of electricity, internet connection, and digital tools. Amidst the blazing heat of the day, students from these remote schools have to brave mountainous terrains, long rivers, and even distant islands in pursuit of educational learning. Using the light from those same sun rays, AuroraPH powers up their schools as a way to illuminate pathways and unlock brighter opportunities for both learners and educators in the classroom. What is AuroraPH? AuroraPH provides access to internet connection and solar energy to last-mile schools in the Philippines that bridge the education and digital divide among underserved communities. Our Goals For the first phase of this program, we aim to reach USD $100,000 that will be used to power the dreams of students from eight last-mile schools across the Philippines. With your continued support, we can reach our final goal to power up 300 schools in rural areas across the Philippines.
