120 East State is creating a community-based, community-centered hub that will restore and transform the historic First Presbyterian Church of Trenton into a cultural/performing arts venue that includes an historic tourism welcoming center, community cafe, and events/program space.
Serving Trenton and greater Trenton, 120 East State will contribute much-needed capacity and vitality to the Downtown. It will provide jobs, job training, and services to Trenton residents, highlight the told and untold stories of this National Historic Register property, and create a Trenton-proud hospitality zone for visitors to NJ’s capital city.
Its purpose is not simply to restore a historic building, but to create an accessible civic asset that serves the cultural, economic, educational, and social needs of Trenton residents and organizations, while welcoming visitors, downtown workers, artists, and regional audiences.
