**About the Foundation**

The ADAA Foundation, established in 1970, is a separate but related entity to the ADAA. Our Foundation has provided grants to museums, archives, and arts organizations nationwide to support art historical research and exhibition development.

The Foundation’s current grant program assists U.S. museums and arts institutions with operating budgets of up to six million dollars. Each year, the Foundation invites randomly selected institutions to submit proposals for funding to support the development of new art exhibitions, educational programs, and community engagement initiatives, including those promoting equity, access, and representation within our field.

Patronato de Arte Contemporáneo was established in 2000 by an independent group of professionals of the arts to support curatorial, editorial, educational and theoretical projects that contribute to the development of contemporary art in Mexico. We accomplish our mission through out the programs we design to satisfy the needs of the current context of visual arts in Mexico. Our goal is to benefit our countrys' cultural development in the most complete and extensive possible way. Our main programs are:  - The International Symposium on Contemporary Art Theory (SITAC), it's an international event that brings together leading participants in the practice, theory, and history of art to discuss specific themes. The symposium allows a broader diffusion of the artistic ideas among the public, the students, the artists, and related disciplines.  - PACs Grants: Since 2000, we have supported more than 370 projects through this Program. For each supported project, in addition to the economic grant, it involves entering a network of independent projects, and a legitimization before other foundations and / or artistic institutions. Receiving these grants allows many projects to assume their profession as artists and managers.  - Nodos Program: Its a series of activities designed to encourage the exchange between cultural production of the different regions of the country. The main objective of these initiatives is to facilitate a horizontal, plural and multidisciplinary discussion.  - Patrons Program: Our funds come from individual and corporate patrons. This program is designed to be a manifestation of what is our ideology in PAC: to demonstrate the cultural diversity that exists in Mexico, to offer a place of knowledge and at the same time artistic encounters. In the same way that we support artists, we want to accompany each patron to enrich the conversation and learn from each one.

The City of Gouesnou has just built a Memorial in tribute to the American Heroes who fell here during the summer of 1944.

Dear American Friends,

The City of Gouesnou, population 6.528, is located in Brittany at France's western tip, near the strategic military harbor of Brest. Our city bore witness to tremendous sacrifice during World War II. Two months after D-Day, on August 7, 1944 – the first day of the siege of Brest by General George S. Patton's Third Army – enemy troops murdered 46 people, including 43 innocent French civilians in the hamlet of Penguérec, marking the largest civilian massacre in Brittany during the war. In the following weeks, until early September 1944, your ancestors fought heroically through extremely violent battles to liberate us from Nazi occupation.

Here in Gouesnou, we consider it our sacred duty to honor both hero soldiers and civilian victims, preserving their memory for future generations. To ensure we never forget and to prevent history from repeating itself, our city undertakes numerous initiatives: annual tributes to soldiers and victims, funding for historical research, commemorative public events, and publication of the graphic novel "*Mémoires de chair et de douleur*" ("Memories of Flesh and Pain").

**A Discovery That Changed Everything**

Thirty years ago, in 1994, the City of Gouesnou – with contributions from private French citizens – erected a stele honoring American soldiers of the 2nd Infantry Division and 8th Infantry Division who fought here. At that time, we believed only 45 soldiers from these divisions had lost their lives in these battles.

However, groundbreaking research by historian Dimitri Poupon, funded by the City of Gouesnou between 2018 and 2022, revealed a sobering truth: more than 200 American soldiers actually lost their lives here 81 years ago.

**Building a Memorial Worthy of Their Sacrifice**

This past year, the City of Gouesnou decided to demonstrate our profound respect and recognition for all American soldiers who fell for our liberation by constructing a new memorial.

The project required extensive historical research to precisely identify every fallen soldier. Through Thierry Chaunu, president of the American Society of Le Souvenir Français, we connected with J.R. Neubeiser and Richard Azzaro from the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Foundation—Society of the Honor Guard. Working alongside Denis Bertin, president of our local association *Les Amis du Patrimoine*, this dedicated team spent eight months reconstructing the battle history and locating these heroes.

Their discoveries were remarkable: the fighting lasted an entire month, American casualties were at least five times higher than previously thought, and soldiers from additional American units beyond the 2nd and 8th Infantry Divisions participated in the battles. Thanks to their tireless, rigorous work, 229 names are now engraved in engraved granite piers, ensuring they will never be forgotten.

**Memorial Inauguration**

The first phase is now complete: on November 16, 2025, the Gouesnou American Memorial was inaugurated in the hamlet of Fourneuf, where the deadliest fighting occurred. The Memorial consists of a monumental gate and granite piers, as well as a kersantite life-size sculpture of an American G.I. created by renowned sculptor Jean-Philippe Drévillon.

Among those present were about a hundred descendants of these heroes and American citizens living in France, soldiers and representatives of veterans' associations. Their presence brought tremendous honor to our town, its officials, and residents.

The inauguration of the Memorial is just one step. We are continuing our work of preserving the memory, as well as conducting research. Thanks to the constant work of our volunteers in the United States and France, new names will also be added to the Memorial pillars very soon!

Supporting collaborative artwork initiated by sculptor Prune Nourry to raise awareness and empower underrepresented communities. 

Catharsis Arts Foundation is a non-profit initiated by the sculptor Prune Nourry that supports collaborative artistic creation and enables art to have a long term, positive impact on the women, artists, artisans, and communities who contribute to and inspire the artwork’s creation.

The Foundation encourages the making of artworks with and by underrepresented communities, enabling them to tell their stories. The collective art installations then tour around the world to raise awareness before returning to their country of origin and funding their preservation, as well as educational and artistic programs for the local communities.

The foundation is inspired by Prune Nourry’s profound belief that art and sculpture can be a tool to recreate balance in a deeply unbalanced world. It will operate globally, with first programs being held in Africa in 2024.

Dhody Research Institute examines medical history to address health challenges and fosters curiosity through education.

The Dhody Research Institute (DRI) is a 501(c) 3 non-profit dedicated to scientific and museological research,  consultation, and education. Through partnerships with historic, scientific or medical institutions, DRI conducts  research with historical medical collections to improve  21st –century human health. **What is the musée de Montmartre ?** 

In the heart of Montmartre, this **charming and atypical Museum** is settled in the old houses of the neighborhood. The Museum’s buildings are surrounded by gardens and were where **many renowned artists worked** (e.g., **Auguste Renoir, Emile Bernard, Raoul Dufy**)... You can also see the studio-apartment of **Suzanne Valadon** (the first woman ever admitted to the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts).

The **permanent collection** presents the **rich history of Montmartre**, the excitement of its workshops and the **atmosphere of its famous cabarets**, from the Lapin Agile to the Moulin Rouge. The LRE Foundation is an international network dedicated to the cultural heritage related to World War II, its memory and meaning.

The LRE Foundation is a growing international, inclusive network that connects people and organisations dedicated to preserving and valorising the tangible and intangible cultural heritage related to World War II, its memory and meaning. The organisation’s main objective is to make this history relevant and accessible, especially for the younger generations. 

The LRE Foundation promotes diversity by developing a multi-perspective understanding of the history of World War II. As each country had a different wartime experience, it is our goal to present each perspective in relation to each other.

Its main projects are :

- Liberation Route Europe 

A certified Cultural Route of the Council of Europe that connects people, places, and events to mark Europe’s liberation from occupation during World War II. 

In order to make the route a physical part of the European landscape, LREF is developing a network of Liberation Route Europe trails that allows new ways of experience the route by hiking, walking, and cycling.

Renowned architect Daniel Libeskind has designed a symbolic family of trail markers called the ‘Vectors of Memory’ that will honour people, places, and stories found throughout the European landscape.

- Europe Remembers

Europe Remembers is an awareness and information platform that brings together commemorative sites and events in a collaborative, inspirational remembrance portal. Europe Remembers seeks to create a global commitment to preserve history and eyewitness memories for future generations, and call for an active participation.

It enables diverse communities to reflect on the complex heritage of World War II from multiple historical perspectives. The aim is to teach, to share experiences, and to encourage mutual understanding of our shared past. With fewer eyewitnesses each passing year, Europe Remembers seeks actively to promote new ways of commemorating and remembering World War II for the future.

- Youth Programme

The LRE Foundation is committed to promoting innovative active remembrance and memory transmission projects targeting the younger generations through the LRE Youth Programme. An essential feature of these initiatives is the inclusion and sharing of diverse experiences, applying a multi-perspective approach to WWII history and remembrance.

With HistoryTreks, funded by the Erasmus+ programme, students of different countries get together to reflect on the history and impact of WWII on their regions with formal and non-formal learning methods, including hiking the Liberation Route Europe and visiting remembrance sites along the way.

In turn, with EASTory through their Eyes and Persecution through their Eyes, young Europeans are invited to learn about personal stories of people who experienced WWII and its consequences across Europe, reflecting on the complexity of such shared history. The ‘through their Eyes’ series combines an online and travelling exhibition with youth events in partner locations and is funded by the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values programme of the EU.

Memorial, Museum and research centre on Holocaust and Human Rights 


25,490 Jews and 353 Roma were deported from the Dossin barracks on 28 train transports to Auschwitz-Birkenau between 1942 and 1944. Few of them survived the ordeal. Today the old military base is a serene site of reflection and remembrance, a Memorial. In the museum, facing the former barracks, one can immerse oneself in the history of the Holocaust in Belgium. The museum provides testimonies not only of exclusion, discrimination and mass violence, but also of hope and resistance. Reflect on human rights violations, then and now. In the research centre one can find more about the role of the Dossin barracks during the Second World War or about the experiences of a loved one or family member.

Les Amis du Château de Rosa Bonheur, was founded following the purchase of the Château de Rosa Bonheur, also known as the Château de By, by the Brault family in 2017. The château, located in Thomery, France, served as Bonheur’s residence for the last 40 years of her life, and its acquisition marked the beginning of a new era in the preservation of the artist’s heritage. Upon acquiring the property, the Brault family discovered thousands of archival documents in the château’s attic, many of which had been untouched for over a century. These documents included personal letters, sketches, financial records, and other invaluable materials that shed light on Bonheur’s life, work, and influence.

Recognizing the importance of these discoveries, the Brault family and the organization sought to create an environment where scholars, particularly from the United States, could engage in rigorous research on these newly unearthed documents. The historical link between Rosa Bonheur and the United States, where many of her works are held in private collections or sold through auction houses, further motivated the establishment of the AFCRB. The organization’s founders recognized the need to bridge the gap between French and American art scholarship, encouraging transatlantic collaboration to ensure a comprehensive understanding of Bonheur’s artistic contributions.

The Museum's organizes annual and seasonal exhibitions, virtual reality exhibitions, permanent collection expansion and conservation, public and education programmes, knowledge-based programmes, digital and archiving projects, and capital and infrastructure projects. 

The Palestinian Museum Association 

MZMF prevents the erasure of African American communities through the responsible practice of public history and heritage tourism.

MZMF serves as a conduit to provide financial and technical support to African American church communities and cemeteries in Mississippi. In addition to providing memorials for Blues musicians without grave markers, we provide historical consulting, research, education, and referrals to descendant communities to prevent the erasure of cultural resources in African American communities. By installing over 25 memorials since 1989, MZMF transforms abandoned cultural resources into international tourist destinations.

In 2021, we re-incorporated MZMF as "The Mt. Zion Memorial Fund for Blues, Music, and Justice," and we won over $100,000 in grant awards from Visit Mississippi, the Hills National Heritage Area, the American Historical Association, the MS Delta National Heritage Area, and the MS Arts Council. In the past year, we have installed memorials for Nathan Beauregard, Jim Jackson, and the St. James Missionary Baptist Church, and we have sponsored the RL Boyce Picnic in Como, MS since 2021.

In 2022, MZMF established the Blues Communities Project, working with church and community leaders in 4 counties to add the names and locations of over 660 cemeteries to our WebAtlas of African American Burial Grounds. Services and activities on the pilot project included informational workshops, invited talks, active discussions, archival research, and the launch of a new Wordpress website, featuring ArcGIS-powered surveys and mapping, digital exhibitions, and an online support portal. 
 
Funding is requested to support MZMF’s general operations. MZMF plans to expand the Blues Communities Project into Leflore, DeSoto, and Noxubee Counties, expanding its coverage to a total of 7 counties. Funding will support the development of informational workshops, conceptualized and designed by people of color to increase local participation, including public lectures on gentrification and the erasure of African American history. The participatory addition of burial grounds to the WebAtlas will allow MZMF to continue its growth, extend its reach into descendant communities, and expand its outreach opportunities.

IN PURSUIT OF A DREAM In 1987 Mr. Janssens, with the help of his friends, set up the Institut Van Gogh, and also created the S.A. Ravoux– two organizations, each with its own specific purpose. The challenge was to marry "economics and culture" and "passion and reason" while maintaining the independence of each half of the equation. Economic credibility was guaranteed by the Ravoux S.A., and cultural legitimacy by the Institut Van Gogh. As well as organizing numerous cultural projects and helping to preserve the Auvers heritage, the main goal of the Institut Van Gogh is to bring about Vincent van Gogh's great wish, as expressed in his letter to Theo during his stay in the Auberge Ravoux in 1890: «  Some day or another I believe I will find a way to have my own exhibition in a café.  » 
	 THE WORLD'S SMALLEST MUSEUM The Institut Van Gogh has thus set its sights on the target of exhibiting 'some day or another' a Van Gogh painting of the Auvers period in the Ravoux Inn. With a mere 7 square metres (75 square feet) of exhibition space in the attic room number 5, the very room where the artist lived in 1890, this museum would be the smallest in the world – a real "room with a view." "Don't settle for easy options" Vincent van Gogh to Theo, 1874 But Vincent van Gogh's modest dream is now far more than a modest challenge, given the huge prices his paintings fetch on the art market today. Nevertheless the Institut Van Gogh believes that if it is supported by the lovers of Van Gogh's art worldwide, it will be possible to climb the last few steps to the top floor and make Van Gogh's dream a reality. 

Institut Van Gogh

An international study centre for textiles, textile crafts, and dress, worldwide and from prehistory to the present day.

The Textile Research Centre (TRC) is a knowledge centre set up in 1991 as an independent foundation. Since 2009 it is housed at Hogewoerd 164, in the centre of historic Leiden, The Netherlands. Here it has the use of an exhibition space, a large depot, offices and workrooms. The basic aim of the TRC is to give the study of textiles, dress, and accessories their proper place in the field of humanities and social sciences, but also in the context of crafts and craft education. The TRC does so by providing courses and lectures, carrying out research and by the presentation of textiles and dress from all over the world. The two main focal points of the TRC are (a) dress and identity: what people wear in order to say who they are and (b) textile crafts and technology, both pre-industrial and industrial.

In order to reach its objectives, the TRC houses various collections, of more than 50,000 items, including a Textile and Garment Collection and a Reference Collection for fibres, threads, dyes, weaves, printed and machine embroidered textiles, and so forth. Most of the objects are photographed, and are available online (open access), with detailed information, In addition, research is aided by the TRC’s library (some 6,500 books, a large collection of articles, as well as visual material such as photographs, prints and postcards). Students, designers and academics come from many countries to Leiden to use the TRC’s facilities and to attend workshops and courses.

Associação Hagadá (Hagadá Association) was created on July 25th 2019. Its objective is to promote and carry on the activities necessary for the creation, establishment and operation of an institution with museological functions in Lisbon - The Tikvá Museu Judaico Lisboa (Jewish Museum of Lisbon). Also, it aims to enrich and preserve the associated cultural heritage, display the Jewish experience and culture, as well as the role of Portuguese Jews in the history of Lisbon and Portugal, and in the Diaspora. Associação Hagadá (Hagadá Association) will perform the following main activities: - Creation and establishment of the Tikvá Museu Judaico Lisboa (Jewish Museum Lisbon); - Ensure that the Tikvá Museu Judaico Lisboa (Jewish Museum Lisbon) fulfils its role as a museum; - Promote, organize and publicise exhibitions, talks, debates and conferences; - Promote the collection and preservation of sources essential to the awareness of Portuguese Jewish history and the Jewish cultural heritage existing in Portugal; - Promote actions intended to encourage citizenship and human rights; - Promote actions intended to combat all forms of discrimination, based in particular on race, ethnicity and religious intolerance and appreciating cultural and religious differences as the heritage of Humanity; - Promote actions intended to preserve the Jewish cultural heritage existing in Portugal; - Perform educational activities; - Support and encourage research and the development of Jewish studies in Portugal and about Portugal; - Promote publications related to Jewish cultural heritage.

Tikvá Museu Judaico Lisboa (Jewish Museum Lisbon) – Associação Hagadá (Hagadá Association)

The Sursock Museum is the first modern and contemporary art institution in Lebanon.


HISTORY
The Nicolas Ibrahim Sursock Museum is the first modern and contemporary art museum in the Arab world. It opened officially its doors in 1961 thanks to a bequest of Nicolas Ibrahim Sursock, a philanthropist and a collector, who donated to the Lebanese citizens his Ottoman-Venetian style villa, built in 1912, and art collection. The Museum survived the turmoil in Beirut and has been open to the public for the last six decades with few interruptions.
Throughout its history, it lived through many tribulations. The various armed conflicts and tensions in Lebanon left quite a few scars. Healing has been long and arduous. 

Today, we are grateful for being able to celebrate the recovery of our cherished institution.
Soon after the Beirut blast on August 4, 2020, we started the rehabilitation of the museum, without the assurance that we would secure all the necessary funds. 
The solidarity of volunteers, local and international institutions as well as individual friends, enabled us to reopen in May 2023.
We are so pleased to give the Sursock Museum back to the Lebanese and to the
international friends of Lebanon. 
Increasing numbers of visitors and participants in our diverse activities are a source of energy and renewed dynamism.  
During the different phases of its history, it strived to be faithful to its calling: an inclusive space of encounter, education, innovation and cooperation. More concentrated efforts are ahead of us. 

The museum's new programming wants to engage with a diverse and wider public today. With its exhibition spaces, public library, auditorium, the Sursock Museum will continue to be a safe space for cultural dialogue, critical thinking and free expression. It is a platform for continuous learning, formative of future generations of art and cultural professionals, and we will continue to do so without compromising on quality, in dialogue at eye-level with international institutions.

GOVERNANCE
Following the will of Nicolas Ibrahim Sursock, the Nicolas Ibrahim Sursock Museum with its building and art collection, was constituted in the form of a Waqf on 14 January 1953.
(The Waqf is not too dissimilar to the western legal form of Trust or Foundation). The role of custodian of the Waqf, the mutawali, was assigned to the president of the municipality of Beirut, regardless of which political regime exists at the time.


OUR CHALLENGES
Before the crisis, the museum's activities were mostly financed by a tax on building permits levied by the Beirut Municipality. It now covers less than 2 per cent of our expenses. 

This is our new challenge: financing this vital institution to survive amid complete financial collapse. With our board of trustees, our circle of friends and future supporters, will do so while still offering free access to art.

Nicolas Ibrahim Sursock Museum

Promoting the work, knowledge of the artist and preservation of the Cezanne sites in Aix-en-Provence for next generations.

The Société Paul Cezanne—founded in 1998 by the artist's great-grandson, Philippe Cezanne, as a tribute to art historian, John Rewald, author of the artist's catalogue raisonne, first published in 1996—is dedicated to:

- promoting and preserving the work of Paul Cezanne and the sites he painted in and around his native Aix-en-Provence, 
- maintaining the revised online catalogue raisonne, available to all for free at www.cezannecatalogue.com.

With the renovation of Cezanne's family home in Aix, the Jas de Bouffan, the Société is now seeking partners to help fund the creation of a new research center devoted to the artist, Le Centre Cezannien de Recherche et de Documentation, which will open in Summer 2025. 

2025 is the year of Cezanne throughout Aix—from a major monographic exhibition at the Musee Granet to city-wide events, programs, and scholarly convenings, this year will mark a new chapter in the artist's ever-growing impact on people around the world.

The history of the "Freunde der Nationalgalerie" began with a passion for the visual arts, a desire to take risks and the enthusiasm of the founding members - and they continue to shape the actions of the Friends to this day.

Since 1977, the "Freunde der Nationalgalerie" have been a key supporter of the work of the Nationalgalerie in Berlin. 

The aim of the Friends is to increase the scope for action of the Nationalgalerie and its six museums in times of scarce public funding. The annual membership fees make a significant contribution to maintaining the Nationalgalerie as a lively, innovative institution that reflects the production of art from the 19th century to the present day in numerous exhibition projects and collection presentations and communicates this to a broad public.

However, one thing is always important: it is not the friends who decide whether classical or contemporary art, whether established or new, will move into the Nationalgalerie's six buildings. It is the decision of those artistically responsible, it is the wish of the directors that determines what we do. For this is an unbroken principle, the "basic law" under which the association was founded and still operates today: Nothing may be exhibited or acquired by the Friends that does not correspond to the wishes of the directors.

The National Gallery (German: Nationalgalerie) in Berlin, Germany, is a museum for art of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. It is part of the Berlin State Museums. From the Alte Nationalgalerie, which was built for it and opened in 1876, its exhibition space has expanded to include five other locations. The museums are part of the Berlin State Museums, owned by the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation.

When Creative Commons was  founded, the internet was a budding universe with high potential, and platforms widely used today like Wikipedia and Google were only just taking off. CC’s founders were keen to ensure that, as the internet continued to grow, safeguards to knowledge, culture, and creativity were firmly in place, and the Creative Commons license suite was born.

Now more than ever, CC recognizes the urgent need for these licenses in advancing Better Sharing, key to preserving our global commons. As we look toward the next 20 years, CC seeks to fearlessly advocate for Open Knowledge to address the many challenges our global community faces today from the Climate Crisis and educational inequalities to the spread of "fake news" and barriers in access to cultural heritage.

Independent non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Ecuadorian art and creating new opportunities for Ecuadorian artists.

EACHEVE was founded in 2014 to address concerns about the fragility of artistic memory within Ecuador, with the original goal being the production of editorial publications with archival purpose – to record the thoughts, activities, and movement of contemporary artists in Ecuador. EACHEVE has since published a series of publications, including several important monographs, catalogues and books including Eduardo Solá Franco’s Illustrated Diaries, an artist’s book by Roberto Noboa, 101 Contemporary Art Ecuador Vol. I and the recent publication of the artist ‘Miguel Varea’

Further motivated to stimulate the growth and development of Ecuador’s art world, EACHEVE has expanded its mission to organize several exhibitions, such as ‘ Algo Después’ by Ilich Castillo (Bogotá, 2016), ‘ Objetos de duda y de certeza’ by Manuela Ribadeneira (Quito, 2019), ‘Wonder Boy Complex’ by Xavier Coronel (Quito, 2021), ‘Mantengo la Urgencia de Reconciliar’ by Sofía Salazar Rosales (Guayaquil, 2022), and ‘La visión del monte’ by Simon Speiser (Guayaquil, 2023).

In 2021, EACHEVE becomes a non-profit foundation and entered partnerships with other leading arts organizations around the world, including Delfina Foundation (London), Gasworks (London), Tropical Papers (France) and DEO Projects (Greece) with the goal of promoting Ecuadorian art internationally and nourishing the current mission of the foundation: to create new opportunities for Ecuadorian artists.

Preserving unique treasures of French heritage as well as their natural environment.

The Mansart Foundation aims to revive heritage of outstanding interest, whether historical or contemporary: natural and landscaped sites (parks, botanical gardens), architectural buildings (monuments, residences, industrial establishments), collections and museums.

These places are our heritage and have shaped our art of living, the French Art de vivre. These sites all deserve to be preserved in a sustainable way to be passed on to future generations. This is the purpose of the Mansart Foundation. 

The Foundation focuses on a strong social mission. It aims to open its doors to less privileged visitors and enable them to discover and appreciate legacy buildings, art history and natural environments, thereby helping them develop both their understanding, curiosity, and creativity. 

The Mansart Foundation supports a variety of projects within different sheltered foundations. 

Already owner of the  Chateau de Maintenon , the Foundation is also restoring the  Chateau de Bagatelle to open it to the public. This chateau - listed as a historical monument since 1978 - is exceptional, both for its own history and the one of its owners, and for its location in the heart of Paris and its great architectural quality. 

Under the aegis of the Mansart Foundation, the  Amici Terrae Sanctae Foundation  was created to support the Terra Sancta Museum project in Jerusalem. This museum will present the roots of Christianity and the Treasures of the Holy Sepulchre, composed of unique pieces. Through a rare collection of paintings, sculptures, archival documents and sumptuous gifts from European courts, the works revealed will attest to the centrality and splendor of Jerusalem throughout the centuries. 

To sustain the actions in favor of  Parisian museums , the Mansart Foundation associated with the Friends of the Pompidou Center and the Friends of the Museum of Modern Art in Paris to create under its aegis respectively the Foundation of the Friends of the Pompidou Center and the Foundation of the Friends of the MAM Paris. By donating to these foundations, you will support exceptional cultural projects and contribute to the development of the collections of these museums. 

To safeguard heritage and bring it back to life, while acting in favor of local development and regional planning, the Mansart Foundation provides support to  the Rempart construction sites  through the creation of the Union Rempart sheltered Foundation. These workcamps are not only places to discover heritage and restoration techniques, but also places to learn how to live together and to exercise citizenship.  

The Mansart Foundation is involved in the promotion and animation of the Vauban Citadel in Belle-Ile-en-Mer, a listed historic monument, and the  Vauban sites of Belle-Ile-en-Mer and Morbihan . For this purpose, the sheltered foundation of the Vauban sites of Belle-Ile-en-Mer and Morbihan was created under the aegis of the Mansart Foundation.  

The sheltered foundation for the Preservation of the  Abbaye des Vaux de Cernay and the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse  was created to support the project to restore and develop the remarkable heritage of the former Vaux de Cernay Abbey. The Vaux de Cernay Abbey, a 12th century Cistercian abbey, is a unique, fascinating, and mysterious place located in the heart of the Chevreuse Valley in the state forest of Rambouillet. 

The  Hortus Botanica Foundation  was created to develop an action in favor of gardens and botanical heritage. Its purpose is to help preserve, restore, create, animate, develop, and share to the public the plant heritage, the heritage built or unbuilt, and the gardens existing or to be created, in connection with it. It participates in the cultural dynamization of the living and historical heritage in order to perpetuate extraordinary places.

Iconic Houses provides a worldwide platform for architecturally significant modern houses and artists' homes and studios from the 20th century that are open to the public, by sharing best practices about the conservation, policy, programming and management of house museums and significant private houses. Member sites include Antoni Gaudí's La Pedrera (Spain), Le Corbusier's Villa Savoye (France), and Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater (USA), among almost 200 other masterpieces and hidden gems around the world. At this time over 50 of the world's most iconic modern houses, especially those from the second half of 20th century, are threatened due a lack of legal protection, deferred maintenance or other issues associated with development pressures. We need to act now, or risk losing them forever. What can be done to save them? Icons at Risk sets out to answer that question.  "Icons at Risk" is an international initiative by the Iconic Houses network to preserve the world's most endangered modern houses of unique architectural importance. We will achieve this by raising public awareness, advocacy, and supporting homeowners to take action themselves through a "Toolkit for Owners of Modern Homes".  Founded in 1994, the Remember Museum is one of the most interesting of its kind. It is housed in an old renovated barn and is comprised mainly of items abandoned by the American First Infantry Division soldiers who once enjoyed "R & R" at the Schmetz' s farm when Marcel was a young boy. The artifacts include personal items given by numerous WWII Veterans from various units. It is a museum with a human dimension, made great by its welcoming environment, its originality, its simplicity. The museum strives to serve as the testimony of our gratefulness towards all the G.I.s who, at the risk of their lives, gave us our freedom back. Because curators Marcel & Mathilde (M&M) are nearing retirement, the museum and its contents will be transferred to the King Baudouin Foundation and a board of directors will manage the future of this great endeavor, while keeping it warm and personal much like M&M themselves. The CTHGC commemorates the victims and survivors of the Nazi regime and various genocides preceding and following the Holocaust.


The **Cape Town Holocaust & Genocide Centre** is a Non-Governmental Organization dedicated to fostering a more **compassionate** and **just** society where human rights and diversity are esteemed.

Through impactful exhibitions, events, and workshops, the Centre **commemorates** the victims and survivors of the Nazi regime and various genocides preceding and following the Holocaust.

Established in 1999, it was the **first** **Holocaust Centre in Africa**, driven by the steadfast commitment to provide **free Holocaust and genocide education**. A primary objective from the outset was to extend this educational outreach to underprivileged communities locally and nationally and to individuals who might not have the financial means to visit.

The **impact and success** of the Centre’s programmes with schools and civil society was an important factor leading to the **inclusion of Holocaust studies in the curriculum of all South African schools**, making the study of the Holocaust mandatory for the students in grade 9 (14-15 years old).

Today, the Centre takes an additional step by **subsidizing** **transportation for disadvantaged groups**, eliminating financial barriers that might otherwise impede access to valuable educational experiences. Demonstrating a dedication to comprehensive support, the Centre also extends its commitment by offering complimentary meals and educational materials to groups of learners originating from the most underprivileged and economically challenged areas of the country.

Through these initiatives, the Centre annually reaches thousands of high school learners and hundreds of teachers, fostering a broader and more inclusive understanding of history and human rights. At the same time the Centre provides a wide range of programming for members of the **local Jewish community, citizens of Cape Town and international visitors**.

Collaborating with external experts, the Centre curates exhibitions and runs programs on other acts of mass violence, such as the Armenian Genocide, *Holodomor*, Rwandan Genocide, and more, emphasizing the **global impact of hatred** and the imperative of preventing history from repeating itself.

In addition to historical exhibitions, the Centre employs the power of art for **expression and healing.** Collaborations with artists from around the world present diverse mediums that offer fresh perspectives on human suffering, resilience, and the triumph of the human spirit.

The exhibitions and the accompanying programs serve as a **testament to the enduring power of memory and education**. By confronting the darkness of the past, the Centre aims to inspire a renewed commitment to humanity, understanding, and peace, in the hope that the lessons learned from history lead to a **brighter and more inclusive future**.

The Philippines faces severe challenges in disaster preparedness and response, as evidenced by multiple indicators:

- Ranks first among 193 countries in disaster risk with an index of 46.82% (World Risk Report 2022)
- Experiences an average of 20 tropical cyclones annually, affecting approximately 20 million people (UNDRR Global Assessment Report 2022)
- 60% of the total land area is exposed to multiple hazards, and 74% of the population is susceptible to their impact (NDRRMC Strategic Plan 2020-2040)

Among the Foundation's major programs is the provision of relief operations and strengthening disaster resilience to affected communities. A donation of:

The experiences and cultural contributions of people of African descent have been marginalized throughout history and MoCADA’s mission is to undertake the responsibility of rewriting that history in order to give a more accurate portrayal of the contributions of people of African descent to the artistic and global landscape.

The Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA) uplifts the visual, literary, and performing arts as a conduit that connects the shared history, values, and futures of Africa and its diaspora, for the purpose of advancing dialogue on pressing social + political issues faced by these communities. We give platform within our safe spaces to artists whose work honor, celebrate, and expand this rich conversation while inviting our community in to explore, engage, and thrive within our collective evolution.

For 20 years, MoCADA has empowered vulnerable communities and instilled a sense of pride in visitors through representation and access to the arts including 100+ groundbreaking artists from 20+ countries (Terence Nance, Dread Scott, Wangechi Mutu, etc) whose voices have gone largely ignored; to Black, LatinX, Indigenous, especially, low income, children, women, immigrants, elders, LGBTQ+, people living with disabilities etc from the communities of Central Brooklyn and beyond.

Our mission is to conserve the Port Royal Sound for the environmental, cultural and economic well-being of our area.


The Port Royal Sound—a tidal inlet of the Atlantic Ocean—is the body of water that defines the Lowcountry of South Carolina, from the beaches of Hilton Head to the salt marshes of Beaufort. The mission of the Port Royal Sound Foundation (PRSF) is to conserve the Port Royal Sound for the environmental, cultural, and economic well-being of our area. PRSF strives to be the leading authority and advocate for the Port Royal Sound, providing and supporting education, research, and conservation initiatives to preserve it. 
PRSF began in 2011 and opened the doors to its FREE Maritime Center museum in 2014. We center our exhibits, events and programs around ecology, art, culture, history, and recreation to ensure meaningful, well-rounded engagement with our community and the Sound. We believe that high-quality educational activities and outdoor experiences should be accessible for all, regardless of limiting circumstances. For this reason, much of what we offer is free or has minimal program fees, and our funding comes largely from generous donors and grants. 
The following is a description of programs that will be supported, in part, by your donation:

Education
•	Maritime Center: a FREE museum housing 50+ exhibits (including live animals, gardens, history, biology, art, and more) that require ongoing updates, care, and maintenance

•	Pluff Mudder Summer Camp: week-long junior naturalist activities and nature experiences for children 6-13 years old, including nature hikes, kayaking, fishing, crafts, microscope activities, games, and more
•	Adult Pluff Mudder Camp: naturalist-led program for adults new to the Lowcountry or who want to learn more about the land, water, and animals of the Port Royal Sound 
•	Junior Naturalist Program: preparing the next generation to love and protect our beautiful waters and be certified as a Junior Naturalist
•	Tuesday Talks/SoundVision Webinar Series: public lectures from local experts in ecology, art, culture, science, photography, fishing, birding, turtle watch, and more
•	Saturday Programs: naturalist-led educational programs for people of all ages, including nature hikes, fishing/crabbing, crafts, reptile meet & greets, and many more
•	Storytime: weekly opportunity for young children to watch the Sound come alive through the pages of a book, paired with a fun activity or animal encounter afterwards
•	STEAM Festival: annual event that showcases the innovation and excitement of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math); 800+ attendees each year

Research
•	Citizen Scientist Program: local community members and organizations assist in the collection and compilation of long-term, widespread water quality data in collaboration with USCB and Clemson Extension Adopt-A-Stream; 75+ volunteers sampling 19 sites across the county
•	State of the Sound Symposium: first annual research symposium in February 2022 that convened 11 area experts from SCDNR and USCB to present what knowledge currently exists about the ecology of the Sound and how future research can help us better understand and preserve it; select recordings can be found at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAv\_68a8MqnvXUf6ggGXXkefjMS4\_\_E5E 
•	State of the Sound Report: a comprehensive report that collects and analyzes historical data about water quality and the health of the Sound; currently being written, will be made available to the public and scientists to inform future research

Conservation
•	Annual Recycled Art Contest: 100+ entrants from schools, families, and amateur and professional artists make art displays with litter or items that would be recycled; art is displayed in the Maritime Center and a jury decides winners in multiple categories 
•	Litter pickups: quarterly clean of highway around the Foundation; volunteers average approximately 100 pounds of trash each time; 1,500 bags of litter kept out of the Sound since 2014

While this list is not exhaustive, it gives you an idea of the breadth and depth of our commitment to the health of the Port Royal Sound and its inhabitants. Being a coastal community comes with a lot of perks, as well as a lot of responsibility. Preserving the healthy water and unique wildlife supported by the Sound goes hand-in-hand with preserving the scenery, seafood, art and recreation in which we take pride and that make our home so special. Caring for the Sound is about more than just protecting the environment- it’s about protecting our Lowcountry lifestyle, today and for generations to come.

Port Royal Sound Foundation

We preserve, develop, and promote the assets comprising the Domaine national de Chambord which is on Unesco's world heritage list.

Chambord has aroused admiration and fascination to the world for over 500 years. Placed on France’s first list of historical monuments in 1840, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981, it is one of the most breathtaking construction of the Renaissance. Far from being a residential palace or a hunting lodge, Chambord embodies the values of humanism, inventiveness and human genius.

Preserving this heritage means constantly questioning how it can be made accessible to the widest possible audience. With this objective in mind, each year new developments and innovative projects are presented to visitors, a rich program of events punctuates the life of the estate, and ecological actions are implemented. The estate is also developing a strategy to diversify its own resources, notably by reviving its vocation as a food-producing farm.

Chambord’s projects are structured around four development priorities: Chambord cultural and artistic, Chambord educational and social, Chambord sustainable and agricultural, and Chambord innovative. To support us in this approach, we are looking for partners who share our values and wish to promote them.
