Support 200 People with Schizophrenia in Indonesia (Yogyakarta & NTT) for a Better Life
In Indonesia, people living with schizophrenia (ODS) often face a double burden: the heavy weight of mental illness itself and the stigma and poverty that isolate them from society. Many families struggle to provide consistent care, and without proper psychosocial support, individuals risk relapse, shackling, or lifelong exclusion.
With your support, we can change this. A donation of just USD 250 will provide one person with schizophrenia with psychosocial assistance, ensure they stay on treatment, stabilize their condition, and begin small income-generating activities such as batik-making, weaving, or livestock farming. These activities are not only economic opportunities but also powerful tools for healing and social reintegration.
Through this initiative, Yayasan Lentera Kesehatan Nusantara (YLKN) will support 200 people with schizophrenia in Yogyakarta and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). Together, we can break the cycle of poverty and stigma, and help restore dignity and hope for those living with severe mental health conditions.

Help Caregivers of People With Schizophrenia in Indonesia
Background Schizophrenia is one of the global public health problems include Indonesia. Based on the WHO report (2023), the estimated number at global are 24 million or one out of 300 people (WHO, 2022). While, based on Basic Health Survey (2018), the number of household members with schizophrenia or psychosis in Indonesia is 6.7 per 1.000 (Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2019). Since 2020 to 2024, Lentera Kesehatan Nusantara Foundation (YLKN), a non-profit organization with support from Johnson and Johnson through Give2Asia developed community based mental health (Schizophrenia) and showed significant strides and already yielded impressive results. More than 600 PWS have benefited from the support systems developed by the foundation. Key achievements include: treatment compliance among PWS has exceeded 80%, a remarkable improvement of over 40% from previous levels. In order to sustain its successes, in 2025 YLKN committed to strengthening 1000 caregivers by providing the capacity of them to support PWS. Why Support YLKN?
