Isaac grew up in the slums of Nairobi, where even finishing high school felt uncertain.
University? Impossible. But everything changed the year he received a Tuendelee scholarship. With tuition covered, mentoring from a finance professional, and internship support, Isaac began to see a future he had never imagined.
Today, he is:

·       employed full-time,

·       financially independent, and

·       paying tuition for his two younger siblings.

One opportunity didn’t just change one life – it transformed an entire family’s future.

ABOUT TUENDELEE FOUNDATION

Tuendelee empowers talented youth from low-income communities in Kenya and East Africa through scholarships, mentorship, internships, career development, and community engagement. We help young people move from surviving to leading – and from need seekers to future providers who uplift their families and communities.

The Challenge We Address

In Kenya, 16% of the population lives below the poverty line, limiting access to tertiary education for thousands of talented students. Beyond financial barriers, students face skills gaps, lack of professional networks, and limited career guidance. Young graduates struggle to transition into meaningful employment, while small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) lack affordable access to quality business support services. Tuendelee bridges these gaps through a comprehensive, integrated approach.

Our Impact – 7 Years of Proven Results

Since our registration in December 2017, Tuendelee has demonstrated consistent growth and measurable impact:

·       38 scholars funded – giving access to university otherwise out of reach

·       25+ active mentorships with experienced professionals

·       100% alumni employment rate – our graduates contributing to Kenya’s economy

·       75%+ internship or job placement rate

·       2,800+ lives impacted through community programs

·       Strategic partnerships (e.g. SPURT!, Vision Institute of Professionals, KCA University, Strathmore University) creating international and local opportunities

·       Endowment Fund launched to strengthen long-term sustainability

Our Leadership & Partnerships

Led by CEO Isabella Gaha (MBA, FCCA, CPAK) and a team of dedicated professionals, Tuendelee operates with a robust governance structure including a Board of Directors, multiple specialized committees, and partnerships with 8+ educational institutions and employers.

We're currently building our U.S. advisory board to strengthen our North American presence and access.

U.S.-based supporters can make tax-deductible contributions to the
Friends of Tuendelee US Fund at Myriad USA, a U.S. public charity under Sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1).

In accordance with U.S. tax law, Myriad USA retains complete control and discretion over all contributions to the Fund. Donors may be eligible for a tax deduction as permitted by law

• Donate: Support full or partial scholarships (KES 635,000 – 1,270,000 per student) (USD 5,000 - 10,000)

Donation Tiers & Flexible Giving Options

• Sifa Package:  $10,000 for 4yrs - $2,500/year (full degree scholarship - tuition & upkeep)
• Uwezo Package: $5,000 for 4yrs - $1,250/year (partial degree scholarship - tuition only)
• Vipawa Package: $2,880 for 3yrs - $960/year (basic support / professional certification)
• Group Giving: Split costs among multiple donors
• Monthly Giving: Subscribe as a "Tuendelee Champion" with recurring donations
