Help Town Bizness Refresh the Motel Fund Our motel fund keeps our most vulnerable neighbors safe, stable, and reachable while we work toward housing. Right now, that includes Robert—73, legally blind, and medically fragile—who couldn’t tolerate a recent placement. Your support helps us keep people like Robert under a roof while we push toward housing that actually works. We will need at least another $3,000 for the next two months making the goal 4900 because we collected and spent the 1900 we fundraised previously.

Rita needs immediate motel placement, but our motel fund is too low. She is disabled, uses a walker, and is being sent back to the hospital with a recurring infection. She is also about to match for housing, but only if we can stabilize her and get her documents submitted in time. Our motel fund is depleted after housing Robert and covering next month’s room for medically-fragile Kelley. Because Rita has her puppy Blue, we must use a full-price motel. We are raising $3,000–$6,000 to secure a room immediately so Rita can recover, we can help her complete her housing documents, and so her dog Blue can receive his next parvo vaccine through our partner HAPI.
