Powher New York
PowHer New York is a network of individuals & 100+ gender justice organizations collaborating to attain economic equity for women.
PowHer New York (PowHerNY), a 501c3 since 2015, inspires change, catalyzes collective action, and advances gender and racial justice by:
- Connecting “women’s issues” like Child Care, Reproductive Rights, Violence, Equal Pay to build intersectional collaborations;
- Educating the public, media and leaders about combating gender and racial inequality;
- Convening advocates and leaders to explore and develop new approaches and innovative strategies;
- Building a diverse, inclusive feminist movement of young advocates and activists with our LEAP initiative;
- Leading New York’s Equal Pay Campaign to change policies like the salary range law;
- Magnifying the transformative activities, campaigns, and research of our Network Partners;
- Informing and engaging our community through social media and opportunities to learn and take action together
- Honoring our Champions at our annual Equity Awards event.
