Placemake Arts Northwest

Placemake Arts Northwest is dedicated to advancing the visual arts through community engagement, creative placemaking, and arts education in Ferndale, Washington and throughout Whatcom County. We're working to establish Downtown Ferndale as a Washington State Certified Creative District, bringing state funding, recognition, and economic opportunities to our community.

Our core activities include live visual arts programming at community events, creative placemaking initiatives, community engagement through hands-on arts workshops, artist support with platforms and materials, and arts education for emerging artists. Every contribution brings us closer to Creative District certification, unlocking state funding, highway signage, and recognition that will drive economic growth and cultural vitality in downtown Ferndale.
