Network for Human and Social Development (NHSD) is registered with Islamabad Charity Commission, Pakistan Center of Philanthropy and Economic Affairs Division. It has been an implementation partner for more than 60 international and national organizations since 2012, which include Give2Asia, GlobalGiving and Benevity.

NHSD has successfully worked in the thematic areas of disaster management, education, health and advocacy and women empowerment with projects that have been driven to support the most poverty struck and socioeconomically deprived communities of Pakistan. These endeavors have been appreciated internationally and nationally.

NHSD has successfully completed projects in:

Rawalpindi: NHSD has conducted technical and vocational trainings in Rawalpindi (Maskeenabad in Misrial, Dhoke Chowdrian, Jhanda Chichi) since 2014 with focus on IT and textile designing. NHSD has helped make a difference in the lives of at least 500 women, 60 college going children and include 1000 families as indirect beneficiaries. These vocational and technical trainings in IT have been a stepping stone towards empowering youth as well as increasing sustainable livelihood. From 2020 to 2022, NHSD also conducted COVID19 trainings and awareness campaigns and distribution of food rations and COVID19 safety kits to our communities here, including transgender communities in Dhoke Chowdrian. These trainings have benefited more than 400 individuals. The COVID19 trainings and distributions

Islamabad: NHSD in 2024 distributed jackets and blankets for school going children in I-17 Islamabad. These were children who were given education in a school established locally as a means to decrease child labour being used in brick kilns. NHSD collaborated and coordinated with Islamabad Charity Commission and in liaison with major industrial stakeholders. NHSD has also completed safety and security trainings as well as disaster management trainings and audits in Islamabad for MCB from 2014 to 2018, which have benefited more than 10 branches.

Tharparkar: Five villages of Chachro Tharparkar where the Hindu communities were supported during the 2021-2023 Sindh floods via reconstruction of 120 houses, and construction of 5 schools, 5 vocational training centers and 5 dispensaries as well as connecting 30 of the houses, 1 school, 1 VTC and 1 dispensary with solar power generated electricity. three of the schools are currently functional and the houses have helped provide shelter to 5000 people. This project was made possible through funding provided by King Baudouin Foundation Belgium on the recommendation of Give2Asia USA (this was prior to the onboarding of non-China based NGOs to Myriad USA in January 1 2024) and through additional funding by GlobalGiving. NHSD in 2024 also revitalized a solar powered tubewell for the people of the five villages, this solar powered tubewell being installed by NHSD in 2017 in collaboration with NBP. The revilization project was made possible through funds provided by Give2Asia USA (this was prior to the onboarding of non-China based NGOs to Myriad USA in January 1 2024).

Keti Bandar: food ration and cooked meal distribution was completed in Keti Bandar during the floods, with the recipients being the fishermen of Keti Bandar who do not have any other source of livelihood and because of the floods were unable to sustainably continue their means of livelihood until the waters had decreased.

Bahwalnagar: A flood had impacted Bahawalnagar in November 2023 which had resulted in the people of the area being severely impacted. NHSD dispatched a team to distribute food rations in the area.

Both Keti Bandar and Bahwalnagar were made possible through funds disbursed by Give2Asia USA(this was prior to the onboarding of non-China based NGOs to Myriad USA in January 1 2024).

Murree: NHSD conducted disaster management trainings in Murree focusing on landslide and snowstorm prevention and safety actions. This was conducted in 2022 and was made possible through fundings by GlobalGiving.

Thandiani Abbottabad: NHSD established a state of the art vocational training center in Thandiani Abbottabad which provided trainings in textile designing to more than 100 women located in that area. This location was especially beneficial to women from the region as the location is not accessilbe through regular tarmac roads. The funding of the project was provided by USAID/SGAFP.

On May 8 2023, the Board of Directors of Network for Human and Social Development were conferred “The Corporate Humanitarian and Strategic Achievement Shield” by His Excellency The President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in President House Islamabad. NHSD Board of Directors were also appreciated on 20 November 2020 by Governor Punjab in Governor House Punjab for “Contributions made during war against COVID19”.

Help Give Education and Skill Training to Children of Feroza

Our organization's school and skill center for out-of-school and street children is located in Village Feroza, District Rahim Yar Khan. The geographic coordinates of the project site are 28°45'13.5"N 70°48'28.0"E. According to the Government of Pakistan's 2017 Census, the village has a population of 11,107. Currently, there are no Government or Private High Schools in the village. In March 2025, NHSD conducted a need assessment in the area. The findings clearly indicated that parents are deeply concerned about their children's future and strongly urged our team to establish a high school along with a middle-tech center providing free education. Generously, Mr. Naveed Haider, a member of our Board of Directors, has donated land for the project. Our plan is to construct a high school building that also integrates a middle-tech center. As part of this project, we will procure furniture, solar panels, a reverse osmosis water system, computers, and sewing machines. The operational costs, including administrative expenses and teacher salaries, will be covered by our organization. The entire project is scheduled to be completed within one year. Construction will take place from Month 1 to Month 10, followed by procurement activities in Months 11 and 12. By the end of Month 12, the facility will be fully equipped and ready for use.
