"A little girl named Ruth walked barefoot for 7 kilometers under the scorching sun—just to sit in a crowded classroom with no books, no desk, and no lunch. And yet, she smiled—because for her, school is the only place that still offers hope."
In Zambia’s underserved communities like Kawama Slum, children wake up hungry, walk long distances on empty stomachs, and learn in makeshift classrooms with leaking roofs and broken chalk. Girls miss weeks of school due to lack of sanitary products. Many drop out because they simply cannot afford a uniform, let alone a pen. Their dreams slowly fade—suffocated by poverty, drought, and neglect.
At Lotus Flower Community School, we are rewriting that story.
Our mission is to restore dignity and ignite potential through free, holistic education and support services. We serve over 500 children, many of them orphans or from single-parent households, offering more than just lessons—we offer meals, menstrual hygiene support, school supplies, counseling, and protection. We help them heal, learn, and dream again.
Every donation helps us buy soap, feed a child, keep a girl in class, or even sink a borehole so they no longer drink muddy water shared with animals. It helps us shield young lives from dropping out, child marriage, or worse—being forgotten.
Help us protect more lives—one child, one story, one school day at a time.
