With a resolute commitment to fostering change, we specialize in implementing impactful programs across Health, Education, WaSH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), Social Protection, Livelihood, and the Prevention of Drug Abuse and Crime. Our efforts are dedicated to empowering the most vulnerable populations in urban and rural slums, with a particular focus on adolescent girls and women. We address critical areas such as health and hygiene, sexual and reproductive health (SRH), maternal and child health (MCH), immunization, and mental health.

The organization has been granted a special consultative status by the United Nations ECOSOC and has been honored with the National Award by the Government of India. This recognition is a result of its impactful social innovations, which are rooted in an action-research model aimed at promoting sustainable living in alignment with the UN SDGs.

At the national level in India, the organization collaborates closely with a team of highly skilled grassroots-level social workers, working in tandem with government authorities. Through an effective community outreach and sustainable approach, it is making tangible changes. Moreover, the organization is actively engaged in strategic partnerships, including with USAID, Union & State Governments in India to enhance the coverage of Routine Immunization, Covid-19 vaccination, and Eradication of Tuberculosis in India.

During the 65th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women, the organization received recognition from the UN Secretary-General, Mr. António Guterres, for its advocacy in prioritizing Women's Health and the elimination of Child Marriages in developing countries as part of the efforts to achieve Gender Equality (SDG5).

Enabling with computer education to marginalized student

Summary The Ladli Foundation launched a groundbreaking campaign to create sustainable infrastructure without seeking external financial assistance. This initiative aimed to bridge the digital divide and empower students with the skills needed for future success. Through Sashakt , a platform designed to provide students with technical and digital skills, the foundation is helping young minds unlock new opportunities. The campaign highlights the importance of community involvement in achieving these shared goals, creating a nurturing environment for the students' holistic development. Challenges One of the primary challenges was the lack of access to digital resources in underprivileged communities. The existing infrastructure was insufficient to support students in today’s technology-driven world, leaving many without the tools needed for educational and professional success. Additionally, the widespread digital divide has limited access to learning opportunities, especially for those from disadvantaged backgrounds, further widening the gap between those who can adapt to a digital future and those left behind. Another significant hurdle was engaging the local community in this initiative. Without community participation, creating lasting impact would be challenging, particularly in terms of maintaining and sustaining the infrastructure built. Financial constraints were also a challenge, as the campaign was determined not to rely on external funding, making it critical to leverage local resources and voluntary support. Our Action In response to these challenges, the Ladli Foundation initiated the Sashakt program, focusing on building infrastructure that supports digital learning and providing students with hands-on training in digital skills. This platform was designed to equip students with practical knowledge that would prepare them for various educational and professional opportunities. The foundation also sought active community participation, engaging local leaders, volunteers, educators, and parents to help create a sustainable ecosystem for learning. Through workshops, training programs, and collaborative efforts, the Ladli Foundation ensured that students not only gained access to digital tools but also learned how to effectively use them to improve their academic and career prospects. By fostering a sense of shared responsibility within the community, the foundation was able to create a supportive and sustainable learning environment. The Impact So Far Since its launch, the Sashakt initiative has seen tremendous success. Hundreds of students have been trained in digital literacy, and many have reported improved academic performance as a direct result of their newfound skills. The platform has become a beacon of hope for students who previously had no access to such learning opportunities. The digital infrastructure built through this initiative has not only helped reduce the digital divide but has also brought the community closer together. Parents and community members have played an integral role in supporting students, making the initiative a truly collective effort. As a result, the program is showing signs of long-term sustainability and continues to create lasting impacts on the students' futures.

Empowering Young Boys to Choose a Drug-Free Path

The Ladli Foundation Trust, in collaboration with the Delhi Police, the National Institute of Social Defense, and the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, has launched Project JOSH. This initiative, part of the Drugs Free India campaign, aims to rescue young boys from substance abuse and crime. Starting on May 1, 2021, Project JOSH focuses on providing hope to boys in Delhi's slums and underdeveloped areas, where substance abuse and criminal activities have surged, particularly at night. Through engaging activities like sports, dance, yoga, and fitness, Project JOSH diverts their focus, promotes physical and mental well-being, and provides intensive training to 1,057 young boys. Additionally, career counseling, motivational sessions, and mental health support play a pivotal role in steering them away from substance abuse and antisocial activities. Challenges Substance abuse and criminal activities among young boys in underprivileged communities pose a significant threat to their future. Ensuring their safety, health, and well-being requires comprehensive diversion and support.  Our Action (Utilization of Your Donations) Physical Activities: We provide sports, dance, yoga, and fitness activities to divert at-risk youth from substance abuse and antisocial behaviors. Nutrition: We offer nutritious diets to support their physical development and overall well-being. Mental Health Support: We conduct orientation, career counseling, and motivational sessions to address the mental health needs of the participants.  The Impact So Far Reduction in Substance Abuse: Through Project JOSH, we have witnessed significant reductions in substance abuse among participants, with volleyball emerging as an especially effective sport. Increase in Education: The project has contributed to a 100% increase in the number of students interested in attending school. 3.Geography : Currently this program is being implemented in 5 districts of Delhi, India. 3.Project Extension : The project is getting more extended this year within 6 more Delhi police station, increasing beneficiaries reach and impact spectrum. Testimonials I am Ravi (Name Changed) growing up in the Parvatiya Camp slums, I fell into severe drug abuse by the age of 15. My life felt hopeless, surrounded by crime and addiction. Then, one day, I met a didi (ma'am) from the Ladli Foundation Trust. She sat and talked with me for a long time, introducing me to Project JOSH. Participating in Project JOSH, an initiative by the Ladli Foundation Trust with the Delhi Police and other partners, turned my life around. They introduced me to sports, dance, yoga, and fitness. Playing volleyball became my escape and motivation. The career counseling and motivational sessions helped me envision a future beyond the bad life of drugs. Through this initiative we envision building a force of young minds that can be given a platform to raise above their current detrimental circumstances and build life beneficial for themselves and the society.
