Hyp+Access is a patient-led nonprofit by and for people with connective tissue disorders and overlapping conditions including hypermobility spectrum disorders, dysautonomia, mast cell disorders, long covid, fibromyalgia, myalgic encephalomyelitis, and more.

Our mission is care access and justice for all “Hyps,” a shorthand term we use to describe people with these co-occurring complex, chronic conditions and disabilities. We build and launch groundbreaking educational and advocacy programs to make current systems more liveable and accountable, all while building a community movement, changing narratives, and saving lives. Hyp+Access seeks to transform the U.S. healthcare system by serving one of the largest and most overlooked clinical populations in modern times, offering holistic solutions to complex problems.

Hyp+Access addresses interconnected, systemic healthcare challenges by providing immediate resources to our growing community of patients with overlapping, complex chronic conditions. We spearhead cross-disciplinary research and create new pathways towards accessible, affordable care for all. Our core strategies include a focus on comprehensive care coordination, advocacy, and a commitment to systemic change that improves access for underserved populations:

Key elements from our successful programs include: (1) medical and alternative care coordination and advocacy, (2) disability and chronic illness education and resources, (3) alternative care education and peer-support programs, and much more.
