Hogar de Cristo welcomes the poorest of the poor with love and dignity to expand their opportunities for a better life in Chile. It enthusiastically supports the community in its responsibility to those discriminated against in our society. Inspired by the spirit of its founder, Alberto Hurtado SJ, it's a transparent, efficient, and effective organization that promotes a culture of respect, justice, and unity.
For 80 years, the Hogar de Cristo Foundation has worked 24 hours a day, seven days a week, transforming vulnerable lives and integrating them into society.
Hogar de Cristo USA Inc. started activities in the United States on June 6, 2006. Based in Pompano Beach, FL, the 501 (c) 3 foundation promotes solidarity, advocates, and raises funds to help Hogar de Cristo finance programs in CHILE.
