The Foundation for the WA Museum supports the enhancement of the WA Museum’s cultural, scientific, and social impact by securing long-term philanthropic and corporate support to help fund vital initiatives and special projects that help enrich lives for generations to come.
With the generous support from donors and partners, the Foundation has played an important role in the WA Museum securing major international exhibitions which supports storytelling initiatives from across the globe; funding ground-breaking scientific research; and enabling education, learning and outreach programs in metropolitan and regional Western Australia.

The WA Museum’s public galleries and special exhibitions reflect the stories of our State and county, from the earliest times to the most recent social histories. The Foundation helps support the Museum to make a real difference by connection people to stories and places around the globe.

Collections and Acquisitions
The WA Museum has over 8 million objects and artefacts in its collections. The Collections and Research Centre is heavily involved in research projects investigating the rich biodiversity and geodiversity of Western Australia.
