Support Our Mission of Alleviating Hunger in Lincoln County
Food Share of Lincoln County has been serving Lincoln County, Oregon since 1982. We have outgrown our current space and have purchased a larger building north of Newport. It requires major renovation work before we can move in. Our current space is less than 5,000 sq. ft. and the new warehouse is 12,000 sq. ft. The new space will allow us to procure, store and distribute more food and fresh produce as we are limited in our current space and cannot always accept our allocation from Oregon Food Bank. The new warehouse also has an indoor loading dock which will allow for offloading the weekly food delivery from Oregon Food Bank out of inclement weather. We also plan to install a community kitchen where cooking classes will be taught to low-income families and individuals, and offered to the community for food preparation to sell at the local farmers' market and other venues, such as food trucks. We need the support of the community and beyond to help us achieve this goal of a new warehouse for Lincoln County.

Freeman Taylor In times like these it is even more important to pull together for the common good. We must all step up our game to make up for the lost Federal support. Hunger should not be a political issue.
