InReach (fka AsylumConnect) is a trans-led 501(c)(3) tech nonprofit building the world's first open source verified LGBTQ+ resource platform. At scale, InReach will provide every trans and queer person with on-demand access to the safe resources they need to thrive.

The InReach platform connects users to independently verified services, including safe housing, medical and mental health care, legal help, abortion care, meal assistance, education and employment opportunities, translation, community and spiritual support, and more. Available on web (desktop and mobile), native iOS, and Android, over 9,000 services across the U.S. are currently listed with new verified services added daily by trained volunteers.

Designed to meet intersectional community needs, InReach lists vetted service providers focused on LGBTQ+ asylum seekers/refugees/other immigrants, BIPOC communities, transgender and gender nonconforming (TGNC) folks, youth and caregivers, and more LGBTQ+ communities in need. The platform is free for everyone, including lawyers, case managers, teachers, community organizers and other providers searching for affirming referrals for LGBTQ+ clients.

To date, InReach has helped over 420,000 people access safe, verified services.

What is Mutual Aid?

**Mutual aid is “cooperation for the sake of the common good.” It’s getting people to come together to meet each other’s needs, recognizing that as humans, our survival is dependent on one another.**

Mutual Aid is a practice and politics that emphasizes solidarity rather than charity. It means we recognize that our well-being, health and dignity are all bound up in each other. It means that we understand our survival depends on cooperation, not competition. In this particular moment, we see that our health is also dependent on other people’s health, and we can literally save each other’s lives. Rather than disengage and feel powerless, mutual aid allows us to plug in where we can make the most impact — locally.

Mutual aid IS...

- Getting people together in your community to provide material support to each other
- Building relationships with your neighbors based on trust and common interest
- Making decisions by consensus rather than relying on authority and hierarchy
- Sharing things rather than hoarding things
- Treating no one as disposable
- Providing all kinds of support, ranging from food prep to childcare to translation to emotional support, and recognizing the value of all of them
- A political education opportunity, where we build the relationships and analysis to understand why we are in the conditions that we're in
- Preparation for the next disaster (natural or economic). Next time around we'll already have relationships with each other and know who is vulnerable and needs support
- A great jumping off point for other kinds of organizing and movement work

DC Mutual Aid Network

The DC Mutual Aid Network (DCMA) is a grassroots community-led effort looking to take care of each other and keep our city as safe as possible.

- DCMA is a decentralized, community-led effort, so there is no single group that runs the network.
- There are autonomous groups for Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Wards 7 & 8 are served together by one group.
- The DCMA Network is governed by the ward groups on topics of social media, website, fundraising, etc. The groups also share resources, best practices and offer referrals to other groups.

Ward 2 Efforts

Ward 2 Mutual Aid is part of the larger DCMA Network. Our concrete activities are:

- **Hotline** - Volunteers staff our warmline, where Ward 2 residents can call and request assistance.
- **Groceries** - We provide a grocery bag delivery to ~150 families that request it through our hotline or building captains. The bags include fresh produce, protein, dry goods, and requested household items.
- **Encampment Outreach** - We organize a supply drop to ~120 unhoused neighbors.
- **Building captains** - We organize with local residents to utilize their leadership and relational networks. Building captains check on neighbors, relay needs, and assist with food donations and distribution.
- **Back to school** - We organize with local parents to host a book and clothing swap.
- **Support for high risk/immuno-compromised individuals** - We have been partnering with local public housing buildings to drop off cleaning supplies, masks, and groceries.

Ward 2 Mutual Aid

To alleviate hunger in Lincoln County by distributing healthy, nutritious food to our agency network & education empowerment.

Food Share of Lincoln County is one of 21 regional food banks in the Oregon Food Bank network.  Food Share of Lincoln County distributes food to its network of  local emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, produce drops, senior food box home delivery and other assistance agencies in addition to facilitating cooking classes and farmers' market tours..

We aim to advance the mental wellbeing of our South Asian community.

In 2021, during their freshman year of college, our founders Ravi Parekh and Aaron Pandian suffered the loss of their close friend and roommate, Farhan, in a tragic murder-suicide where he took the lives of himself and his family. 

Farhan was struggling with a variety of inadequately treated mental illnesses. However, like so many members of the South Asian-American community, his parents simply lacked the tools, resources, and education necessary for providing him the care he needed.

They recognized that, as an immigrant South Asian family, they lacked the tools, resources, and education necessary for providing Farhan the care he needed. The tragedy of Farhan and his family revealed that there are many mental health issues unique to the cultural characteristics of South Asians. Understanding that these environmental factors and structural barriers to effective care created the situation which led to this tragedy, we theorized a youth-led grass-roots advocacy and education initiative that equips South Asian youth and other interested parties with access to tools and resources to understand, process, and empower.

Grass-roots efforts are often inspired by lived experiences. Our passion and drive to bridge the gaps in mental health care for South Asian individuals stem from our lived experiences.

Knowledge is empowering, and part of understanding mental health is to both learn and express empathy for those affected who are unable to receive effective care. To learn not to fear mental illness as a sibling, parent, friend, significant other, or affected individual and employ newly acquired tools that work to connect with the resources they need. 

MHISA embodies these ideals and provides us an outlet to engage those around us with a shared goal: to enable South Asians struggling with mental illness to lead better and healthful lives.

Mental Health Initiative for South Asians

Giving immigrants the knowledge to navigate U.S. financial systems and build lasting wealth.

Most financial education fails immigrants because it doesn’t reflect their day-to-day reality. Our practical, accessible personal finance course helps immigrants break the cycle of living paycheck-to-paycheck and plan their financial futures.

**Vision:** We’re building a country where all of us, immigrants included, have the financial skills to plan for the future, fulfill our dreams, and achieve lasting peace of mind.

**Impact:** Our pilot program has already helped immigrants ranging from 25 to 60 years old build the foundational skills to manage their money. 100% of students have opened a brokerage or a high-yield savings account by the time they finish the course. In addition, students are learning to budget their fixed and variable expenses, plan for retirement, and build their credit in the U.S.

Keelworks Foundation is a 501c3; we get people to work. We've helped people get to work since 2009 with resume and job experience.

Everywhere we look, we see the unemployed and the economically disadvantaged. Some we look at and say, they get what they deserve, they did work hard and I did. You can look at this problem with compassion, understanding that it isn't that simple or you can look at it from the selfish perspective: their lack of contribution affects us. 

KeelWorks helps students transition to employment, others with some education practice in area related to experience to gain qualifications for greater responsibility. In both of these, thousands have come and left with paying jobs.

We are building the KeelMaster program to respond to the more challenged unemployed and under employed. This program requires comprehensive assessment to uncover and mitigate barriers as well as identify strengths. It then assigns to small facilitated teams where they learn eight core competencies (self-identify, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, assertiveness, team-building, goal determination, and goal management). Teams stay together with facilitation pursuing goals and supporting each other for as long as it takes for all to be stable in employment. 

The KeelMaster program has prompted the development of a learning management system, a participant environment, a participant record, and several other applications designed and developed by volunteers. Some of these we hope to offer as a vehicle for funding the foundation and an endowment fund. 

For every life we change, we affect families, generations, communities, and nations. We all need to contribute and feel we are a part of some solution. We all deserve satisfying work.

S.T.O.P. litigates and advocates for privacy, working to abolish local governments’ systems of mass surveillance. The Open Door NJNY equips immigrant families through weekly English, TASC, and computer classes at 4 sites across the NY/NJ area.

The Open Door empowers marginalized immigrants to reach their full potential and
successfully integrate into mainstream society. We provide 5 levels of ESL instruction as well as classes in GED preparation and computer literacy. Our 4 program sites serve over 600 individuals in NY and NJ - equipping them with the skills they need to succeed in the United States. 

There are two aspects of our program that set us apart from other academic services in the metropolitan area:

1. Our classes are completely free for our students! Our programs are funded by the generosity of our supporters.

2. The Open Door has a highly relational focus and emphasis on community. Students may enroll in our program to learn English (and other skills), but they receive so much more- friendship, support, and the reminder that they are valued members of our community and deeply loved as image bearers of God.

With a singular focus on increasing the naturalization rate in Massachusetts and beyond, Project Citizenship transforms the lives and futures of immigrants in the U.S.!  Our free legal services have enabled over 10,000 permanent residents to achieve U.S. citizenship since 2014.  By accepting the rights and responsibilities of citizenship, our new citizens achieve expanded opportunities, greater economic stability, family reunification, a voice in our democracy, and a deeper sense of belonging in this country.  We all benefit when immigrant groups are not isolated but are full participants in our social and civic life, creating more cohesive communities.

Project Citizenship focuses on those who would not be able to naturalize without assistance through the complex and lengthy process. We coach, we encourage, we inform, and we advocate for each client with the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Service (USCIS) - from application to Oath of Allegiance.  We submit requests for waivers of the USCIS application fee and for special consideration for clients who are older or who have a disability. The Project Citizenship community includes over 1,000 attorney volunteers and many local organizations who partner with us. Our clients have a remarkable 95% success rate in achieving citizenship.  Our work is at the intersection of economic vitality, civic engagement, and social justice.

Friends of Be an Angel provides humanitarian aid & civilian evacuations for the most vulnerable in Ukraine during a time of war.

Friends of Be an Angel, together with Be an Angel and the Women's For Future organization, provide for those most in need in Ukraine during a time of war. We work with in-kind donations and humanitarian aid, then organize delivery to the most severely affected regions in Ukraine. Additionally, the team coordinates the evacuation of vulnerable people from Ukraine. So far, we have managed to provide 4,700+ tons of aid and have evacuated 18,000+ civilians.

The are nearly 6.6 millions of internally displaced persons in Ukraine and over 9 million people have crossed the Ukrainian border since Russia invaded the country. Almost 2.2 millions Ukrainian citizens had to leaved their home in eastern Ukraine. Unfortunately, they currently have no place to come home to because their houses have been destroyed. Ten percent of internally displaced persons have not gotten any assistance from the Ukrainian government. They have dire needs, especially in light of winter coming soon. At least three million families are in Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia, and Kherson regions, that are occupied by the Russian troops. They have no opportunity to buy simple everyday products such as meals, hygiene products, medical supply, and more. Even a simple cold or fever could lead to death! Also, Ukrainians are facing the coldest winter in the history of independence! The room temperatures are expected to be at 13-14°C inside homes at best during winter.

International students often struggle with culture shock, stress, and loneliness when leaving their homes to study in the US. International Friendships, Inc. (IFI) is a national organization partnering with local churches, universities, and volunteers to provide life-changing hospitality and friendship to international students. We work strategically to make the world feel at home and extend God’s love globally — right where we are.

30 Birds is rebuilding pathways for Afghan girls to learn, lead, and live freely.

After the fall of Kabul, 30 Birds partnered with student leaders from Marefat High School, one of Afghanistan’s first coed schools, to evacuate the school’s most at-risk girls and their community. These girls were targeted because of their public support for democracy and human rights. Determined to continue their education, the girls played an active role in coordinating their own escape. Under duress, moving in small numbers from city to city and past Taliban checkpoints, we helped more than 450 Afghans - schoolgirls, family members and various activists for female education -  safely across the border and onwards to Canada, the United States, and other countries in Europe and South America.

Building on our success, we at 30 Birds are dedicated to ensuring that Afghan girls are able to thrive, regardless if they are calling a new country home, or if they are still in Afghanistan. To do so, we have implemented four major programs:

1. Education in Afghanistan and Pathways to Safety: Despite the challenges faced by women and girls in Afghanistan under the Taliban's education bans, we have partnered with Afghan educators to enable 3,200 girls to access education through underground schools within Afghanistan. Additionally, we are actively working on helping the top 60-90 students from these schools to safely leave Afghanistan each year, primarily via University acceptance abroad. We provide essential support, including assistance with university applications, visas, and scholarships.

2. Mentorship Program: Our girls risked their lives for education and professional aspirations, but now face the challenge of starting over primarily in Canada, where their prior credentials are not recognized. To ensure their long-term success, we have developed a mentorship program with established leaders from prestigious institutions, offering individualized guidance to accelerate their educational and professional goals.

3. Education Program: Our refugees Education Program is designed to support Afghan girls' education through a full suite of services that follows the girls through every stage of their academic career – from identifying programs and schools, to managing every aspect of the application process, to funding scholarships for tuition, to flexible support to help them stay in school.

4. Mental Health Program: Many of our girls are just now starting to process the huge span of emotions they are feeling – from deep gratitude for being alive, to survivor’s guilt when they think of those left behind. Our Mental Health Program will help them process these complex feelings, It has four main components: (1) Small group peer support; (2) Community Centre; (3) On the ground expertise; (4) Micro-grants for maximally flexible needs;  and (5) Intentional culture of mental health.

WRC advocates for humanitarian response to move from short-term aid based on needs, such as handing out food and blankets, to long-term solutions that leverage the skills and capacities of women and youth so that they are better set to achieve sustainable economic and personal success.

We work in partnership with displaced communities to research their needs, identify solutions, and advocate for gender-transformative and sustained improvement in humanitarian, development, and displacement policy and practice. 

Our vision is a world where all people displaced by conflict or crisis are welcomed with dignity; are safe, healthy, and self-reliant; have their human rights and agency respected; and get the support and resources they need to rebuild their lives.

IILA provides transformative services for refugees, immigrants, survivors of human trafficking, & families in the greater LA area

The International Institute of Los Angeles (IILA) began in 1914 as a response to the needs of women and girls immigrating from Europe and East Asia in adjusting to their new lives in Los Angeles.  Our founding was part of the larger revolutionary vision of a social welfare worker named Edith Terry Bremer, who established the first International Institute in New York in 1910. The **International Institute movement** was unique for its time in its philosophy and approach to this work. It **embraced cultural pluralism by celebrating ethnic diversity** and encouraging immigrants to maintain their native languages, traditions and folk cultures, while also becoming engaged US citizens who contribute to their communities. 

**IILA has played a prominent role in every major refugee and immigrant wave since its founding.** For over a century, we have offered a wide range of services to assist limited-English proficient and low-income individuals achieve self-sufficiency and thrive. Over time, we also **expanded our services** to include a wide array of legal assistance, resettlement of refugees and asylum applicants, survivors of human trafficking, and free or low-cost child care and transportation. We employ over 150 people in 13 locations in Los Angeles County and have a budget of over 20 million dollars. We also have a long history of employing newcomers, who serve as valuable team members who can provide culturally sensitive assistance to those in need.

Our **commitment to upholding the dignity and supporting the self-sufficiency of refugees and immigrants** is as unwavering today as it was at our founding.  We know that new arrivals bring a vibrancy and richness, as well as economic strength, to Southern California and the wider United States that is vital for our continued growth and success.

MAKING AN IMPACT: 

UNCOVERING DETENTION
We work to ensure that countries reveal how many people they detain, in what conditions, and why, which is essential information for making meaningful calls for reforms. We have successfully encouraged many countries to release data, including an early FOIA request in the US, which led to our publishing the first comprehensive map of US detention sites ,  featuring a staggering 900+ facilities. Recently, the EU's statistical office—Eurostat—announced that it would begin collecting data on member states' immigration detention statistics, which marked a milestone in efforts to promote transparency in EU deportation practices. The GDP played a leading role in helping make this happen, undertaking ground-breaking investigations like "The Uncounted," repeatedly lobbying the agency to collect and publicise better migration enforcement data, and  publishing major academic studies on the implications of the growth of unaccounted detention regimes across the region.

ENDING THE DETENTION OF CHILDREN
We have been a leading voice highlighting the enduring harm that immigration detention has on children and have regularly provided advice on how refugee and migrant children should be treated. When officials in Geneva began seeking non-detention methods for minors in custody, they came to us looking for examples of how other countries do this. When the Swiss NGO Terres des Homme sought data to advocate  an end to Switzerland's child detention policies  at the Swiss Parliament, they came to the GDP to build the evidence for their case. Our advice and input has informed numerous global studies and reports, including those produced by the  Committee on the Rights of the Child  and the UN-mandated  Global Study on Children Deprived of Liberty .

PROMOTING BETTER HEALTHCARE
The World Health Organisation acknowledges that immigration detention is inherently damaging   to people's health, a conclusion it was able to draw in part on the basis of GDP studies and data. In 2022, the WHO asked the GDP to undertake a global evidence of review on health indicators and outcomes in immigration detention settings as part of its series,  Global Evidence Review on Health and Migration. Our systematic review of evidence,  which builds on our multi-year reporting initiative on COVID-19 in detention, has pointed to several daunting lessons, including the apparent lack of willingness by many states to implement sustainable reforms in their health provision for detained refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants, and the devastating impact this is having on people across the globe.

SPURRING UN ACTION
We strive to ensure that UN human rights agencies are alerted to urgent and unfolding situations involving detained asylum seekers and refugees so that they can take immediate action to address violations and ensure that states fulfil their protection obligations. Recently, we helped mobilise UN action on the plight of refugees and migrants stuck in Ukrainian detention centres amidst Russia's bombardment, the disappearances of Eritrean refugees in Egypt, and abuses of migrants trapped in border areas between Belarus and neighbouring countries.

Amaanah's focus is working with women and youth in the refugee community. We have the following programs to help support the long term integration of our refugee community: Teach 360, Lions Soccer Program, Big Sister Circle, Relief services, and Scholarships.

The teach 360 program is an in school support program for refugee students to focus on social, emotional, linguistic and academic support. This is a partnership with schools or the school district while tracking different data points to measure the success of the program.

The Lions program is a free soccer youth boys program aimed at building community through mentorship and sports. We have a dedicated group of volunteer coaches who train and coach the athletes. The program has been able to support students with scholarships for higher education as well. 

The Big Sister Circle is a program geared towards women in building community and also support the women through education. The women learn fundamental English grammar alongside meeting new friends in the community. This hybrid program bridges virtual community with in person life experiences. 

The relief program is geared at short term support. Amaanah can respond in time of natural disaster and support the community through supplies, care packages, financial support, and food support as well. We focus on holistic services to create a deeper impact.

Dar-us-Sakina offers its services to all special needs individuals and their caregivers within the Houston community, but reserves its Zakat fund for Muslim families who are in financial need or crisis. Education:

Special Needs Weekend Islamic School Programs: At four locations across Houston, children with special needs come weekly to the masjid to learn about their faith using an adapted curriculum and to be included in the community.

Teen Adult Program (TAP): This program helps individuals with special needs take the first step to adulthood by teaching them independent life skills in a supportive social environment.

Support:

Caregiver Support Groups: This allows mothers, fathers, and siblings of individuals with special needs to connect with others with similar life circumstances.

At the heart of our community, libraries provide a place where everyone can learn, create, study and explore. Mrs. Ruth Kampa – a former librarian and President of the Library Commission — embraced this with her strong passion for the Library. In 1987, Ruth had the foresight to setup the San José Public Library Foundation (SJPLF) so that the Library could receive more than just public funding. In 1992, Ruth passed away and because of her bequest the Foundation was able to hire its first paid staff member. Through many years of service, growth and innovation, CoolineKids launched a 2 week summer experience for 100 young people in East Palo Alto to teach leadership through play and art. As CoolineKids is our community’s only leadership development program serving all ages; today, we share our renewed commitment to the East Palo Alto community by launching our new organization. The CoolineKids Organization teaches K-8 students creativity, compassion, communication, and collaboration (our four foundational principles of service leadership) through our hands-on curriculum that includes cooking, photography, reading, science, art, play, and engineering. CoolineKids believes young people learn best from other young people, that’s why we engage high school and college age youth to support as leaders at our summer camps. Our youth grow their leadership skills through a variety of programs including our CrewCamp training experience and our YouthCrew year round program. Our vision is that all youth will grow to become service-centric, family-minded leaders dedicated to inspiring change in their communities. And we are eager to live that out by empowering and equipping young leaders of color through innovative, skill-based programming.

We provide housing and support to deprioritised asylum seekers and refugees.

**History**
From the first idea of Mazí in a kitchen in central Athens, residents have been at the heart of what we do. 

An asylum system is hostile by design. In this context, however, it was also inefficient, arbitrary and violent. As the state withdrew access to basic services (healthcare, legal, bureaucratic) in 2019, tens of thousands of people became trapped in dangerous and unsanitary overflowing camps on the Greek islands or across the mainland; stuck in cold and dirty and overcrowded basements of community centres or religious centres; or stuck in travellers’ houses: notoriously unclean, insecure spaces. Working frontline at a community centre and information point, we met people every day with an urgent need of housing for an indefinite period of time. People were stuck in the asylum system; stuck without legal status; stuck without access to healthcare; stuck without the status or tools to rent an apartment, find fulfilling work, and build their own pathways out of their situation in Greece.

We decided to use safe, stable housing as the prime lever for residents to unpick these issues, and to move on. Every day we saw young men come into the centre, up to the information point and ask for support. Typically, state and humanitarian actors distribute aid based on the vulnerability of different groups of displaced people. Someone can be “vulnerable” if they fit within a defined social group (old, young, pregnant, ill). Solo men are always bottom of this list. It is remarkable how quickly you internalise the knowledge that there are no services for a young man as he asks you for help; how quickly you internalise a belief that he will be fine: he is young, he is a man, he is strong. The unspoken thought behind this is: he will be ok sleeping on the street.

**Goals**
We are a small charity, and that enables us to provide genuinely impactful support to each resident we work with. We measure our impact in its depth as well as breadth, and aim to achieve five key goals, increasing each resident’s:

- Stability and access to safe spaces
- Feeling of ownership of living space and the city
- Ability to access services
- Ability to support himself financially
- Feeling of strong mental health

With these five keys residents leave Mazi equipped to support their own independent housing.

**Mission**
Mazí Housing exists to end homelessness and social exclusion for displaced people in Athens. In a world where displacement is a reality and resources are limited, we provide viable housing options and holistic support to those who face barriers to social inclusion. We demonstrate the potential for humane, cost-effective and inclusive housing responses to migration that facilitate positive interactions between all communities, and use our voice to advocate for better policy.

**Activities**
Mazí’s model is unique. We have three years of experience in using housing, safe community spaces and livelihoods support as a lever into inclusion in European societies. We have a strong track record of enabling residents to move on independently from our services: sixty-eight residents have arrived at Mazí without a job since 2020; fifty have left with the tools needed to work and forty-six have left in sustainable employment. Behind these figures are 113 asylum service visits; 38 positive asylum decisions or renewals; 65 legal information sessions; 303 doctor appointments; 24 referrals for psychological support; 3429 hours of language study. There are many indicators of inclusion, self-reliance and independence beyond these: including confidence speaking at house meetings, sense of ownership of living space, ability and willingness to navigate the neighbourhood and the city alone.

**Next Steps**
In three years, we have learnt a lot. We are constantly evolving our programme to reflect the changing context and the needs of our residents. We cannot anticipate the external triggers of these adaptations, but this flexibility ensures that we are making the most of our skills and resources to support residents to be self-reliant. The changes we have seen since the Athenian kitchen in 2018 have not, however, been solely driven by the context in which we work. We have pushed ourselves to become more effective, sustainable and replicable. Looking at the next two years, we have a clear vision of what Mazí looks like:

• In 2023, to recruit a board with broader experience in different areas relevant to our work, e.g. advocacy, finance, funding, housing, lived experience
• To maintain a more stable core team: this means, in 2024, four members of staff for our current operations (average 40 residents over a year)
• Broader and deeper partnerships with other organisations to amplify impact we have

• We will open up community space to non-residents to meet the shortfall in services as organisations close across Greece

• We will build on our track record to speak about housing; to articulate the weakness of camp-based solutions; and to advocate for better access to rights
• We will collaborate with existing partners, and search for unexpected partnerships, to amplify our voice and its impact
• We are a voice that people listen to about housing and integration in Europe

Mosaic Georgia: a 24/7 Children's Advocacy & Sexual Assault Center for people who experienced sexual assault, abuse & exploitation

Mosaic Georgia has discreetly served over 20,000 kids and adults who experienced sexual violence, exploitation, trafficking, child sexual abuse, and similar crimes.  It began as a volunteer rape crisis center in 1986. In 1993, became the first nonprofit, community-based sexual assault center in Georgia to provide forensic medical exams and patient advocacy outside the hospital setting.

Mosaic represents our focus to help people put the pieces of their lives back together with dignity and discretion.  We offer a mosaic of services and coordinate with several agencies and organizations with a trauma-informed, victim-centered approach. We follow the Children’s Advocacy Center model to centralize the community response in effort to minimize trauma and stress on the person who may have experienced sexualized violence.  Also reduces the number of times the victim is asked to recount their experience.

CLEAR Global is a US-based nonprofit comprising Translators without Borders, CLEAR Tech, and CLEAR Insights. We're helping people get vital information and be heard, whatever language they speak. With our innovative language technology solutions, research, and community of over 80,000 linguists, we support partner organizations working in various contexts around the world. We have local teams in Nigeria and Bangladesh, and are actively helping people affected by natural or man-caused crises get the information they need and understand.

As we envision a more linguistically just and diverse world, we started a movement. Our Four Billion Conversations movement is about helping bridge the digital language divide, and improving global information and communication access to include people who speak marginalized languages into matters that concern them as well. Part of this initiative is our language technology, including multilingual conversational chatbots and voice-enabled interactive information kiosks, thanks to which people can get answers to their questions instantly and securely.

We released a plethora of language data resources, such as the Global Language Data Review, a useful resource for planners to make their programs and services more inclusive, and language maps and glossaries that help humanitarians and other responders better communicate with local communities living through crises.
