When Molière meets AI : support a creative revolution
What masterpieces might Molière have created if he hadn’t passed away in 1673? Thanks to cutting-edge AI, a team of Sorbonne University researchers and artists is bringing Molière back to life in ways never imagined before. From the manuscript to the stage — including set design, costumes, music, gestures, and diction — every element is reimagined and enhanced by machine learning, all while staying true to Molière’s unique spirit. At the heart of this project is astrology, a theme Molière explored in his time, but with a sharp relevance today. In an age where social media fuels modern credulities, Molière Ex Machina challenges our beliefs and relationship with knowledge. This isn’t just a play.
