Young people today spend one-third of their day in front of a screen, and the majority of these young adults will stop attending church by College. Hollywood content has grown darker and darker.  A recent study found that over 80% of top-grossing films now feature explicit violence, occult themes, or sexual content. It’s no longer entertainment; it’s worldview formation.  And the next generation is being shaped by it. What are we as the church doing in the wake of this crisis in our culture?  How are we working to replace the stream of dark entertainment that is leading millions to depression and hopelessness? http://www.firelightcp.com OUR VISION We are a studio of writers, composers, actors, and filmmakers creating content for screens and stages to fight against Hollywood’s lies with the power of truth. OUR MISSION We create truth-centered stage and film productions that carry the presence of God into homes, theaters, and digital spaces, revealing God’s heart and offering a powerful alternative to Hollywood. We equip creatives to tell stories that challenge culture, exalt truth, and point people to Jesus. WHAT THIS $175,000 WILL ACCOMPLISH Over the next 12 months, we’re launching a content engine: Writing our next three productions. Hosting our fourth annual Creative Conference. Cinematic shorts designed for maximum impact on social media. These powerful, scroll-stopping 5–60 second clips will feature: Story moments from existing films Original scores and voice-overs Evangelistic, artistic, and emotionally compelling messaging This phase is not just content creation; it’s brand and mission establishment. WHAT THIS WILL ALLOW US TO DO ✅ Attract Views: Repurpose completed films into reels and shorts tailored for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. ✅ Position Us for Studio Partnerships: We’re already in conversation with several faith-based studios actively looking for content. These shorts show them what we can do and pitch our next several full-length films. ✅ Fuel Our Nonprofit’s Sustainability: With this digital reach, our nonprofit will gain visibility and increased audience support to attract the next major wave of funders and studio partners.
