We bring together people, resources, culture, and ideas to help communities turn climate solutions into action. Our work creates pathways for people closest to environmental challenges to access the funding, visibility, relationships, and support needed to lead.
Our programs span environmental justice, nature-based solutions, climate mental health, youth leadership, storytelling, culture, and creativity. We connect grassroots leadership with artists, institutions, funders, and communities ready to act.

Enter the Earth Era
Every generation inherits a world it did not choose. What matters is what we decide to build next. Kevin J. Patel began this work at eleven. Fifteen years of organizing, building programs, and building institutions taught him one thing above all: the people who can solve these problems are already out there, already doing the work, often with far less than the work deserves. And beside them are people who were never invited to try. What is missing is not talent or commitment. It is money, visibility, and each other. Earth Era Institute exists to close that gap. We find the people already protecting the places they come from, and the people nobody thought to ask, and we give them what they need. Culture and creativity are not a theme in this work. They are how it gets done. This is bigger than one organization or one person. It is about building the infrastructure for more people to lead, so nobody has to do this work alone.
