Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has had an enormous impact on all Ukrainians. Beyond the staggering economic toll lies a deeper crisis: families torn apart, women carrying entire households while juggling childcare, ageing parents, and work. Millions have been displaced, many losing their homes overnight. Trauma, and disability rates continue to rise – with veterans hit the hardest. Thousands of small businesses collapsing or being run single-handedly just to survive. Extreme stress on society and the loss of livelihoods and local economies have left millions in need of reskilling, reintegration, and hope. 

In the midst of these challenges, we can see where recovery truly begins. It must begin with people. People that are not waiting for peace to start, but building Ukraine’s future from the ground up. Now.

Promprylad Foundation offers young Ukrainians a reason to stay in Ukraine, women a path to entrepreneurship, veterans a place to heal, and displaced people a new beginning.

Since 2022, more than 30,000 people directly supported, more than 600 jobs have been created, and more than 60 new businesses were launched. Promprylad demonstrates the power of a united community, and has become a blueprint for Ukraine’s recovery — a community hub where civic society, businesses, and local authorities build and innovate together.

Promprylad has been Ukraine’s most dynamic engine of civil, cultural, education and economic transformation in western Ukraine since 2018. Led by serial entrepreneur Yuriy Fylyuk, Promprylad has become a symbol of renewal — a thriving innovation hub born from the adaptive reuse of a historic industrial plant in Ivano-Frankivsk. It stands as proof that collaboration, creativity, and social entrepreneurship can drive not only recovery, but long-term sustainability. And this model doesn’t end in Ivano-Frankivsk — it is scalable, replicable, and ready to inspire communities across Ukraine and beyond.
