Conservation

With its donors, BNRC conserves open space, protects wildlife and habitat, preserves local farms, and provides free access to the Berkshire outdoors for everybody--at over 50 locations across the region.

Donor support has enabled BNRC to protect approximately 160 sites total on its own, and assist towns, cities, other land trusts, and state agencies in the conservation of countless other natural gems.

The Berkshires of Massachusetts is one of the most climate resilient areas of the United States. This is because BNRC donors have decided the natural character of the Berkshires is important to protect, and they have chosen to make it so.
