Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP)

The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) is an award-winning, non-profit investigative news organization and innovator in the investigative journalism field. OCCRP reports on organized crime and corruption with more than 70 international partners.

Founded by investigative reporters Drew Sullivan and Paul Radu in 2007, OCCRP is a pioneer of cross-border, collaborative reporting. With humble beginnings in Eastern Europe, it grew into one of the world’s leading investigative journalism networks, now spanning six continents and helping recover more than $11 billion in illicit gain for the public sphere. Its tech and data solutions are used by more than 22,000 journalists and activists, who rely on them to sift through large quantities of leaked and public data for patterns of illicit activity.

OCCRP has received numerous honors, including the Maria Ressa Prize for Courage in Investigative Journalism, the Missouri Honor Medal, the Global Shining Light Award, the Tom Renner Award for Crime Reporting, the European Press Prize, and the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship. In 2025, OCCRP’s work with The Boston Globe on Steward Health Care was a finalist for a Pulitzer Prize. OCCRP’s work on the Panama Papers with the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists won a Pulitzer Prize in Journalism in 2017.
