YuCROWN Corporation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit building Earth LinC — a sovereign on-chain ecological identity on Polygon.

Our mission: let every person's action to protect this earth sustain — and study what emerges when it does.

Every year, billions of people act for this planet. They always have. But ecological behavior has never had a form — no place to be recorded, to accumulate, to belong to someone. Financial behavior had the ledger, and it became the financial economy. Social behavior had the profile, and it became the attention economy. Ecological behavior has had no equivalent — until now.

Earth LinC is that form. Your ecological identity — a sovereign on-chain wallet that belongs to you.

Current project: Thailand Forest

Mae Hong Son. Far northwest Thailand. The mountains press against Myanmar. The Pai River begins here, flows into the Salween, reaches the Andaman Sea. This province is part of the Western Forest Complex — twelve national parks and seven wildlife sanctuaries forming one of the last intact wildlife corridors in mainland Southeast Asia. 18,730 km² of contiguous protected forest. Home to Southeast Asia's largest confirmed tiger population. 153 mammal species. 490 bird species. Tigers, clouded leopards, Asian elephants, hornbills, gibbons, sun bears, tapirs — species that need large, connected forest to survive.

Thailand entered the twentieth century with 70% forest cover. By the end of it: 25%. A logging ban in 1989 began the recovery. The country's 20-Year Strategic Plan targets 40% forest cover by 2036. What is coming back in Mae Hong Son is part of that recovery — and it is real.

Krabi. Southern coast. Where the land meets the Andaman Sea. Coastal forests anchoring the connection between terrestrial and marine ecosystems. The same sea that receives the water from Mae Hong Son's mountains. Two planting regions, one living system. The mountains feed the rivers. The rivers reach the sea.

The science

Trees are planted by Conserve Natural Forests (CNF), a nonprofit foundation based in Pai District, Mae Hong Son, operating since 2014. CNF uses the Framework Species Method — developed at Chiang Mai University's Forest Restoration Research Unit (FORRU-CMU) since 1994. Thirty years of monitored science.

This is not monoculture. Not plantations. 20–40 native species are planted together at each site — selected to rapidly shade out invasive weeds, attract seed-dispersing wildlife through nectar, fruit, and perching sites, and trigger natural regeneration from surviving forest remnants nearby.

What thirty years of monitored data shows:

  • Canopy closes in 3 years
  • 73 additional species return naturally within 5–9 years
  • Bird species triple within 6 years
  • Carbon flow reaches natural forest levels in 14–16 years

These are measured results from plots established in the late 1990s in this same ecosystem — not projections. When 30,000 trees are planted using this method, they do not stay 30,000 trees. They become the trigger for a forest.

CNF also rehabilitates Asian elephants for eventual forest release. Elephants are among the most important seed dispersers in Southeast Asian forests — their movements and feeding directly shape forest composition over large areas. The trees you help restore and the elephants who carry seeds through them are part of the same recovery.

Planting sites are on government-backed land — national parks, temple grounds, royal land — providing institutional land security. This partnership has been operating since 2018–2019. Grab Thailand alone has planted 200,000 trees through this same ground partner in Mae Hong Son and Krabi, growing at nearly double the rate year-on-year since 2021.

Why this forest matters beyond Thailand

Mae Hong Son's forests are the headwaters of a system that crosses borders. The Pai River rises here, flows into the Salween — one of the longest free-flowing rivers in Southeast Asia — and reaches the Andaman Sea. The Western Forest Complex encompasses the sources of three of Thailand's six major river systems. These forests regulate water flow for tens of millions of people downstream.

Thailand sits within the Indo-Burma Biodiversity Hotspot — ranked in the top five for threat among all 36 global biodiversity hotspots. It supports more globally threatened species than any other hotspot on Earth. Six large mammal species have been discovered here since 1992. Over 300 million people depend directly on the ecosystem services these forests provide.

Research published in Nature (2023) provided the first comprehensive evidence that tropical deforestation directly reduces rainfall — not just locally, but across entire regions. Tropical forests generate atmospheric moisture flows that produce rainfall thousands of kilometers away. When forests disappear, those flows weaken. Studies have found that large-scale deforestation in Southeast Asia could affect agriculture in the US, India, and China.

A tropical tree sequesters carbon 2–4× faster than a temperate tree. Thailand's tropical forests store up to 137 tonnes of carbon per hectare — roughly double a temperate forest. A dollar supporting tree restoration in northern Thailand captures more carbon per year than a dollar spent in most temperate locations.

What your action becomes

When you take action, a real native tree is planted and verified. Every tree is recorded at planting — GPS coordinates, species, farmer, photo, date. AI inspects each record before it enters the system. Two independent blockchains confirm the same physical tree: your action on Polygon, the tree's data on a separate chain. This is not a receipt. It is a permanent, verifiable ecological record.

Your action becomes a Living Certificate — born at the moment you act, on-chain, yours. It is never finished, because the place it connects to is never finished. Your Living Certificate enters your Earth LinC — your sovereign ecological identity. Every action you take, every certificate you earn, accumulates here.

The planting seasons

November–January: Seeds are collected from surviving forest. Nursery propagation begins. February–May: Site preparation. July–October (monsoon): Planting season. Trees go in when the rains ensure survival. GPS coordinates recorded. Species, date, farmer, photo captured and written to chain. Years 1–5: Active management — weeding, mulching, monitoring. Year 5+: Nature takes over. Birds and mammals disperse seeds. The forest expands beyond the planted area.
