Our purpose is to simplify generosity, to make more good happen. We connect your U.S. charitable giving with organisations in Aotearoa New Zealand who are making a difference on the ground in the areas you care most about. It’s personalised giving made easy, so you can give with more confidence and deeper effect.

The Gift Trust has partnered with Every.org to help donors make tax-deductible contributions in the U.S. that benefit their preferred charitable causes in Aotearoa New Zealand. We’re a philanthropic charity based in New Zealand that supports people to make gifts to charitable causes anywhere in the world. Since 2009, we’ve helped facilitate more than $39 million USD worth of cross-border giving.

If you wish to support a New Zealand charitable cause that is not listed on our Every.org page, please contact us in advance: info@thegifttrust.org.nz / +64 4 391 4438. If you make a contribution to support a cause we haven’t approved, we can’t guarantee the funds will reach them.

Here's how you support a New Zealand charitable cause via The Gift Trust and Every.org:

  1. If they're not listed on our Every.org page, you notify us of the New Zealand charitable cause you wish to support, and we conduct extensive due diligence to make sure we can make the grant. Otherwise, proceed to step 2.
  2. You make a tax-deductible contribution of cash, securities, or other eligible assets to Every.org and get a U.S. tax receipt. (If your DAF provider only pays by check, or if you wish to donate property or non-liquid assets, please contact us for an alternative method.)
  3. Every.org transfers the funds to us, and we use the due diligence weā€˜ve done to make a grant to your chosen charity - anonymously, if you wish.
