When pet owners cannot afford needed veterinary care, the options are economic euthanasia or surrendering loved animals to shelters. Our program works to keep loved service and companion animals together with the families who need them.
Our grants don’t just pay for needed veterinary care – they also help pet owners to be able to afford to participate in clinical trials for cancer treatment that involve new therapies, such as immunotherapy. As cancer rates are on the rise in companion animals, this access to care becomes more important.
Since 2003, The Pet Fund has worked to provide low-income individuals and families access to needed medical care. As medical costs continue to rise, this effort has become increasingly challenging. Your donation will go directly to fund veterinary care for companion and service animals in need of access to medical treatment.
