Huntsville Area Mountainbike Riders (HAMR)

HAMR is a volunteer-run non-profit organization which was founded in 2005 in Huntsville, AL. Our mission is to promote land access, trail preservation, and new trail development in order to enhance mountain bike touring, racing, fun, and fellowship for all mountain bicyclists in Huntsville and North Alabama.

We have a vision to create a community-wide system of sustainable mountain bike trails which challenge experts and welcome riders of all skill levels, elevating Huntsville and North Alabama to a world-class mountain bike destination.

To achieve our mission and vision, HAMR works with local land managers including Monte Sano State Park, the Land Trust of North Alabama, the city of Huntsville, Redstone Arsenal MWR, and the Space and Rocket Center. We have an MOU in place with our youth mountain bike team program, Alabama Cycling Association, to promote trails education and mountain biking amongst our next generation, as well!
