The Scheyer Family Kid Captain program provides children at Duke Children’s Hospital access to regular, adaptive recreation and movement opportunities such as basketball, soccer, yoga, and modified athletic training.

A dedicated on-site coordinator manages the program, organizes activities, and recruits volunteersas part of the Duke Children’s Hospital Child Life department. In addition, children are given the chance to participate in special events and recognition moments, including Dribble for Victory and being honored as Kid Captain of the Day at a Duke Basketball game—creating unforgettable memories while raising awareness of their resilience.

Playing a vital role in underserved communities by providing leadership and guidance to youth in both basketball and life.

- Focus on teaching players a different mental skill to apply to their daily lives and athletic endeavors.

We can’t fully rely on schools - In 2022, the Physical Activity Alliance gave schools nationwide a grade of D– for physical fitness, reflecting MINIMAL access to regular physical education classes, gym time and equipment.

Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund Inc is a nonprofit organization focused on providing human services. It is based in Park Ridge, IL. It received its nonprofit status in 2007.

The GRIDIRON GREATS ASSISTANCE FUND (GGAF) is a non-stock, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization providing financial grants and ‘pro bono’ medical assistance to retired NFL players in dire need with a minimum of 3 credited seasons. The organization focuses on the humanitarian side of post-football related issues, which includes coordination of social services to retired players who are in need due to a variety of reasons including inadequate disability and/or pensions.

The Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund’s mission is to assist dire need retired NFL players who were pioneers of the game and who have greatly contributed to the NFL’s status as the most popular sport in America. Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund provides hands on assistance to help retired players and their families deal with hardships they face after football. The services include medical assistance, transportation costs for medical evaluations and surgeries, housing assistance, financial assistance for utilities, medication, and coordination of services for food, automotive payments, and childcare. Since its creation, GGAF has helped more than 1,000 former NFL players and their families.

NE GA SORBA is a non-profit maintaining approximately 110 miles of multi-use trails across 10 counties in northeast Georgia.

Northeast Georgia SORBA began in 2014. We were the first “regional” chapter in SORBA. We were created from the merger of Gainesville SORBA and UC3 SORBA.  Gainesville SORBA was the first SORBA chapter created in the mid 1990’s so we have a long history in advocating and building mountain-bike and multi-use trails. Rooted in an unwavering love for my hometown of Irvington, New Jersey, I created the Adon Shuler Foundation to give back to the community that has given me so much. Our mission is simple but powerful: to uplift and empower the next generation in Irvington by providing meaningful opportunities, support, and resources.

The Adon Shuler Foundation is committed to making a lasting impact through a variety of initiatives, including free youth football camps, financial assistance for local sports programs, food drives, and backpack giveaways. These programs are designed not only to meet immediate needs but to foster confidence, leadership, and long-term success among Irvington’s youth.

This year, we're proud to host the **Adon Shuler Youth Football Camp** on **Saturday, June 21st**—a day of learning, growth, and inspiration. Our goal is to equip young athletes with essential life skills, build their confidence, and help them elevate their game both on and off the field.

Sports for Development: Empowering children and communities through sports in Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon.

**Palestine Association for Children’s Encouragement of Sports (PACES)**, is a UK based charity established in 2006, with the aim of providing healthy, structured after- school sports programs for Palestinian girls and boys ages 6-16 years Living in refugee camps and most marginalized and vulnerable areas in Palestine, Jordan, and Lebanon. From March to November every year, children are granted an escape from being idle on the streets, or in their homes; an escape that is fun, healthy, and one that encourages participation and inclusion. Since its establishment, **PACES** has reached out and served over 33,500 children, 2,350 young female and male coaches and assistant coaches, and over 200 local sports clubs and other community based organizations. All programs promote gender equality, and have successfully reached and maintained a 50% female participation rate.

Through its core sports program, **PACES** provides children with multiple educational benefits to help them thrive in their own communities. The program also encourages discipline and cooperation, and builds their confidence and self-awareness. In addition, **PACES** offers non-sport activities to enhance the children’s social development through partnerships with local and international NGOs. The non-sport activities include awareness sessions covering several essential topics such as health, safety, and hygiene among others.

To attain a wider impact, **PACES** builds local capacity by training and hiring leaders in the local communities as coaches to deliver the sports programs. Coaches receive training in multiple areas, and acquire a set of skills necessary to enhance their employability in the job market. **PACES** also partners with local clubs and sports centers situated in marginalized areas, which facilitate the delivery of program and outreach to the target beneficiaries.

The TJ Carrie Foundation provides a social-emotionally supportive community for children and families living with heart conditions

The mission of the TJ Carrie Foundation is to provide a social-emotionally supportive community for children and families living with heart conditions, while educating the greater community on heart health. In addition to inspiring youth to Dream Big through  education and physical activity.  

​When the NFL cornerback started his foundation in 2016, TJ’s goal was to help young people struggling with physical challenges, offering encouragement and advice to children and families dealing with health issues. Along with his wife, Ty’lsha, the foundation’s mission has grown to inspire all youths to establish and achieve big dreams. With signature programs and community events, the foundation provides a platform for TJ to be hands-on and engaged with young people and their families,  helping them overcome their problems and accomplish their goals.  The TJ Carrie Foundation’s approach is built on the pillars of faith, hope, courage, and love.

Being a professional football player being able to play the game is such a blessing for TJ each day and one that he does not take for granted. He dreamed about putting on those pads and helmet and playing under the Friday night lights, on Saturday afternoons, and even on to the NFL.

 As a 14-year-old freshman at Deer Valley High School in Antioch, California, TJ was hyped to begin his journey. On the first day of tryouts, his life changed forever. It was hot, and they were working hard. He was sweating and was having trouble catching his breathing … and then it all went dark.

TJ left the field in an ambulance and was transported to thehospital. The medical personnel stabilized him. But the doctors were stumped as to what caused his problem. It was a year later before they had an answer. TJ had a one-in-a-million birth defect where his right coronary artery was positioned between his lungs.

The doctors gave a now 15-year-old and his family two choices. He could give up any strenuous physical activity for the rest of his life, ending his dreams of playing football. Or TJ could undergo risky surgery to correct the problem. With the help of his family, he decided to take a chance, so he could keep alive his big dream of playing football. On Valentine’s Day 2006, TJ underwent open-heart surgery at Oakland Children’s Hospital.

He spent two months recuperating in the hospital, part of what became a year-and-a-half-long recovery. It was hard, scary, and challenging, but he was driven by his big heart and a relentless work ethic to achieve his dream.  He recovered and was finally able to play football as a senior at De La Salle High School in Concord, California, where the Spartans won a state championship that season. He went to Ohio University, where he played 50 games for the Bobcats and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in sports administration. 

And his ultimate dream was achieved when Oakland selected him in the 2014 NFL Draft, beginning a pro career where he has worn the uniform of the Raiders, Browns, and Colts.

 

TJ Carrie Foundation

Support the Jr Kings and LA Lions Youth Hockey Programs

The LA Lions is a premier girls youth hockey program founded in 2015 and based in Los Angeles. The 12UAAA team competes at an elite level in tournaments across the USA and won their division in the 2024 PGHL championships. They ended the 2024 season ranked #9 in the entire USA and had a feature [story written about them on MyHockeyRankings](https://myhockeyrankings.com/news.php?b=1197) inspired by their grit going undefeated in the Motor City Girls Fest tournament against the top teams in the nation.The 12UAAA LA Lions now have a well earned opportunity to complete in PeeWee Quebec, a 11 day international hockey tournament that attracts over 120 youth hockey teams from all over the USA, Canada and Europe. This would be the first time in the tournament's 65 year history that an all-girls team from California would be participating.The team's travel and accommodation costs for an 11 day international tournament are substantial. The girls would greatly appreciate your support in achieving their dream of competing in the world's most prestigious youth hockey event and putting a California girls hockey team on an international stage.

VidaGol is a Christian nonprofit association committed to helping young people from challenging social and economic backgrounds. 

The organization provides academic and vocational training, fellowship opportunities, sports activities,  alongside educational and personal development providing a strong foundation in values.

VidaGol's initiatives are divided into three main programs:

- The High School Program, which offers after-school tutoring for students aged 15 to 17 to enhance their academic performance; 
- The Gap Year Program, which assists high school graduates in preparing for national and international college entrance exams through a year focused on English studies, career planning, and exam preparation;
- And the University Program, which supports students transitioning to university life by offering spiritual, emotional, and academic support. Participants in the University Program spend one day a week at the VidaGol campus, continue their English studies, receive help with their college assignments, and are assisted in finding suitable job opportunities. 

Each program includes personalized mentoring to ensure individual attention and support, helping young people build a solid foundation for their future.

VidaGol is located in the Jardim Cliper neighborhood, less than five minutes from Iporanga, one of the favelas in the extreme south of São Paulo, an area characterized by a diverse population where drug presence is significant, and where opportunities for higher education are limited.

Since its inception in 2010, VidaGol has used sports to support over 100 young people facing social vulnerability. In 2020, the organization launched VidaGol Careers, which now includes the above programs. Currently, VidaGol serves 50 young people across all its programs.

Our Mission

The mission is to provide shelter, nutrition, care, education, sports coaching, industrial training, and opportunities for orphan and underprivileged children so they can support themselves and become part of society in a positive way.

The Need

Currently burdened with major issues like child labor, undernourishment, lack of shelter, education and hygiene, 38% of India's children are malnourished. 29% drop out of school before completing elementary education. 33 million children between the ages of 5-18 in India work as per Census 2011.

The Solution

There are government initiatives and numerous NGOs that are helping these underprivileged children but Bal Sambal wants to go beyond providing them with food and shelter. They focus on all-round development with exposure to academics, sports, music, dance, art and industrial training.

Supporting 40 children across ages 2-17 through accredited institutions and certified by the Government of India. Educated 250+ children living in the slums of Jaipur. 12 students passed the 10th state board exams. Hosted 40 volunteers. 2 students selected for under 19 national archery competition.

DC SCORES programs provide inclusive spaces for children to explore their passions, identities, and lived experiences in an environment that embraces diversity and accessibility. DC SCORES strives to be an anti-racist organization committed to taking an intersectional approach to our work that values and supports all individuals, regardless of their backgrounds or identities.

DC SCORES operates in historically marginalized communities across D.C. and works closely with school staff, families, and community members to provide its comprehensive after-school programs. After a season of the program, 95% of poet-athletes say attending DC SCORES has made them care more about their school, and 98% report that they feel more confident in themselves.

DC SCORES relies on the generosity of a variety of supporters, from individual donors and volunteers to large corporate sponsors. The organization’s work is sustained by dedicated, paid coaches and teachers, most of whom work in the schools where they coach. DC SCORES is a community partner of D.C. beneFIT Fitness Challenges is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit that raises awareness of systemic racism and racial disparities in the United States through fitness challenges. Many American citizens stand against racism, but do not know how to get involved. At beneFIT, challenge participants can promote social equality simply by moving their bodies. Also, many Americans are unaware of the deeply rooted issues that have perpetuated systems of control for people of color and other marginalized populations for centuries. beneFIT aims to educate others about social injustices by tying the amount of activity and the funds donated to statistics about social injustices that exist today.

beneFIT is focused on painting a picture of the broad, overarching ways in which systemic racism manifests in our modern society so includes challenges that highlight multiple aspects of racial injustice and racial disparities. Participants track their activity using their fitness watch (Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit, etc.) and submit their activity on social media. That activity is then turned into a donation that we make to an organization whose mission aligns with the issue we are highlighting that month. 

beneFIT emphasizes the importance of participants' engagement within their physical community and the e-community. Participants are encouraged to explore connections to social injustices where they live and share their experiences/reflections with others via social media which connects participants to the cause on a deeper, more personal and emotional level. As a result, participants are then equipped with the most powerful tool to facilitate real growth and change in our society: a story to be told, a conversation to begin.

The purpose of the Pickup Baseball Foundation is to build a community that provides inclusive access to the game of baseball.

There are no pickup baseball opportunities in the entire SF Bay Area except for ours.

Our strategy to build a community around inclusive access to baseball is to provide consistent weekly pickup baseball opportunities to everyone who wishes to participate in order to achieve our goals. At these events we actively practice optimism, focus on the enjoyable aspects of the game of baseball, and encourage inclusive access to it.

Our group is the only weekly pickup baseball group in the SF Bay Area and we are offering this service for free to the public. Our operations are frugal and scalable and present a facile and dependable way to improve the local community.

Our impact is measured in the length of our list of participant email addresses as well as the number and nature of personal responses at in-person events or through a google form on our website complement.

At Trinity Fitness Beachside (a 501c3 non-profit), we use fitness as a way to share the gospel with our community.  In addition, participants are given the opportunity to partner with local and international organizations to effect larger change.  

Finances are never a barrier for someone to attend Trinity Fitness.  Sponsors help bridge the financial gaps so everyone can attend.  We also offer reduce pricing options for "heroes:" military, first responders, nurses, teachers, etc.  We offer classes for students and various sports teams.

We were been blessed with a beautiful new facility in April of 2023.  We are currently leasing but have a purchase agreement in place.  As soon as we raise $220,000 for the downpayment, we can begin paying our own mortgage instead of someone else's.  We are so excited to partner with you and become a permanent fixture in Indian Harbour Beach, FL.

DIP is a non-profit organization creating a state-of-the-art, community space for all people to explore the benefits of aquatics.

Denver Indoor Pools (DIP), a 501 (c)(3) (DBA Aquatics @ Altitude) has laid the groundwork for an extraordinary project in Aurora, Colorado.  Their goal is to build an indoor swimming complex to serve the aquatics community at the individual and team level in swimming, diving, water polo, artistic swimming and other water activities.  The volunteer board and fundraising cabinet are embarking on a multi-million-dollar capital campaign.

The founding board of DIP came together around shared interest and support for accessing water, and desire to share aquatics with more of the community. We feel strongly about how aquatics benefits our lives and wish it were more accessible. 

Most of us can remember the first time we tried out for the swim team or attempted a new underwater sport. DIP wants to serve as that invitation for everyone in the Denver region to see what aquatics are all about. 

We are thrilled for the opportunities the DIP facility will bring to our community: teaching water safety for Colorado families, and offering healing spaces for individuals looking to rehabilitate with the benefits of aquatic therapy. The facility has the potential for the Denver region to host regional and national competitions, providing high-elevation training for international athletes.

Amaanah's objective is to provide long-term assistance throughout the entire lifespan of our programs.

Amaanah's objective is to provide long-term assistance throughout the entire lifespan of our programs. From the initial stages of education and scholarships, through job preparedness and entry into the workforce, culminating in the full cycle of individuals becoming Amaanah Ambassadors.

Amaanah's focus is working with women and youth in the refugee community. We have the following programs to help support the long term integration of our refugee community: Teach 360, Lions Soccer Program, Big Sister Circle, Relief services, and Scholarships.

The teach 360 program is an in school support program for refugee students to focus on social, emotional, linguistic and academic support. This is a partnership with schools or the school district while tracking different data points to measure the success of the program.

The Lions program is a free soccer youth boys program aimed at building community through mentorship and sports. We have a dedicated group of volunteer coaches who train and coach the athletes. The program has been able to support students with scholarships for higher education as well. 

The Big Sister Circle is a program geared towards women in building community and also support the women through education. The women learn fundamental English grammar alongside meeting new friends in the community. This hybrid program bridges virtual community with in person life experiences. 

The relief program is geared at short term support. Amaanah can respond in time of natural disaster and support the community through supplies, care packages, financial support, and food support as well. We focus on holistic services to create a deeper impact.

The mission of Eagle Ridge Christian School is to provide a quality Christian education based upon the Word of God in an environment where students can achieve maximum success academically, spiritually, and physically in the pursuit of God’s call and purpose in their lives.  

HISTORY 
Eagle Ridge Christian School, Inc. (Eagle Ridge) has a long history of success as a major Christian Educator in Southeast Missouri.  The school was founded in 1982, under the direction of Dr. Mark Carbaugh, and has seen over forty years of success in graduating hundreds of students into successful lives and careers.  

The school has grown from three teachers serving 32 elementary children to a student population of over 220 students and 40 full and part-time staff serving 6-week-old infant care through twelfth grade. 

In 1996, Eagle Ridge graduated its charter class. The next month, Eagle Ridge was incorporated as a separate entity from the church as a 501(c)(3) organization on December 22, 1997. 

In June of that same year, a 30,000-square-foot facility was built on twenty acres to house both the school and Rock of Cape Church.  They have since continued sharing space in this same facility.   
 
In the fall of 1998, the school added a 2 and 3-year-old preschool program, as well as, a before and after-care program. In 1999, Eagle Ridge began offering food service including breakfast, lunch, and an afterschool snack.

In 1998, Eagle Ridge Christian School began accreditation with the International Christian Accrediting Association (ICAA) receiving full accreditation in 2000. Eagle Ridge applied for and received accreditation from the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA) in 2001.  Today, Eagle Ridge maintains accreditation through the International Christian Accreditation Association (ICAA) and Cognia.

Cognia is the parent organization of the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).  
 
The school continues to enjoy a growing, interscholastic athletics program through Missouri Christian School Athletic Association (MCSAA), and as an affiliate member of the Missouri State High School Athletic Association (MSHSAA).  This enables the school to compete with Christian and public schools nationwide.

THE NEED
We have never seen such a demand in all the forty years of the school’s existence as we are seeing now. Calls continue to come in for students, but there is not always space to accommodate the requests. We have come to a place in time where the need is great for the school and we must expand to accommodate the needs of the community.   

As Eagle Ridge has flourished in response to demand in our community, we have outgrown our current building.  The church and school presently occupy a 30,000-square-foot building, where both entities share space.  The requirements of the school have forced the Church to occupy less and less space with each passing school year.  Each year the church has given up more space to accommodate the school’s need for more classroom space. 

We believe this to be an opportune time for the school to begin moving forward with a new campus to meet all the needs of this growing ministry.  

A new campus will provide tremendous opportunities for the school to significantly grow in all areas.  Our preschool would immediately add over 100 students to our enrollment, who are presently on a waiting list.  This alone would increase the school’s annual income by $500,000 to the operating budget and provide additional jobs for many families.  

We have a vision to serve more people in our school.  To reach that potential, we must increase the size of our campus and facilities.

NEW CAMPUS VISION
The school has an opportunity to purchase 125 acres of land. This will allow us to build a 65,000 square feet facility that will allow us to fully educate, train, and equip our students’ mind, body and spirit.

The expansion will accommodate growth to more than 450 students, more than doubling our present enrollment.  In addition, the new school building will also accommodate 100+ children on the waiting list in pre-school.

Key Features will include: 
•	Athletic fields for soccer, baseball and track for our successful athletic programs
•	Modern facilities equipped with the newest and latest technologies to assist faculty and students to reach their greatest potential
•	Implementation of the newest school safety and security measures
•	Modern indoor gymnasiums suitable for all types of competitions
•	Resources and spaces to ensure the education for special needs students

ESTIMATED COSTS
The leaders of the school have now begun a capital campaign to purchase land nearby its present location to build a new school building and campus.

This Capital Campaign’s goal is $18.75 million.  This would include the 125 acre land purchase and construction costs for the new 65,000-square-foot campus.

Eagle Ridge Christian School, Inc., is identified as a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) under the Internal Revenue Service and is registered with the State of Missouri.  The Determination is on file and can be requested.

Families in our community are seeking morally-based organizations and educational opportunities that will collaborate with them to uphold their traditional values, especially for their children. 

Parents need help, and they are coming to Eagle Ridge because we offer an excellent and rigorous education that is also based on Biblical Truths.  

We prepare young people with the lessons and tools they need to be academically successful, make sound decisions, and achieve a positive difference in our world.
