Shield City Empowerment Initiative
Our organization serves those with special needs thru therapy, as well as assisting youth thru sports and empowerment.
Shield City Empowerment Initiative provides a place where all children are loved. We currently serve those with special needs from Birth into Young Adulthood. Our center provides therapy and education opportunities that would not otherwise be available to these students.
We also manage a youth football team in a challenging location, where hope and job prospects are few. Our football team provides community and development, while also working to help all of our players have education and small businesses.

A New Center
We have been temporarily located in a shed behind the director's house. This was a good temporary and quick solution when we unexpectedly lost our previous center. The plan was to house the center temporarily in this location until we could locate a more permanent location. We truly desire to be able to move out by August of this year, which would mean one full-year in our temporary location. Our desire is to provide a safe, clean location for our students to be able to come for their classes. We need space to be able to have a a place for the kids to play, have group classes and physical therapy sessions. We are limited by our space currently to the number of students we can help each week and we look forward to all of the doors that having a new location can open for our center. Our current goal to be able to rent a new center location and make all of the necessary improvements is $5,000.
