Exploring the Human Microbiome and planetary health
The Japanese Consortium for Human Microbiome (JCHM) brings together leading researchers to explore how human health and the environment are intertwined—from molecules to entire ecosystems.
By studying the population and its surrounding environment, we aim to uncover how local diets, biodiversity, and cultural practices influence the microbes that live within us.
Our project contributes unique data to global efforts helping complete the world's picture of microbial diversity and its essential role in sustaining life on Earth. Donations will support advanced sampling, sequencing, and data-sharing platforms, as well as international collaboration and public engagement activities. Your contribution empowers us to build a bridge between human health and planetary sustainability—ensuring that future generations inherit both scientific insight and a healthier world.
