More than 1 million Americans will go to sleep tonight not knowing if they'll sleep in the same place tomorrow.

The difference in outcomes between those facing homelessness and those with safe shelter is monumental, with as much as a 30-YEAR GAP in life expectancy. We're on a mission to help these people find their way home. You can be a part of that change.

"This is the most support I've ever had in my life," Araijzon, an unhoused single mother of 3.

SCF empowers people like Araijzon to find their way home. Since 2016, Samaritan Capital Foundation (SCF) has empowered over 4,000 individuals facing homelessness to take 60,000+ sustained action steps toward stable housing, income, and health. Independent studies have found that residents using Samaritan achieve greater stability and reduce public cost of care by over 20%.

With an opportunity to reach each person on or near the street (1M+ lives nationwide), SCF has been deployed in 10+ cities across WA, CA, AZ, KY, and NY.

Our work starts with frontline partners in each region who find and help people in crisis sign up for a free 12-month Samaritan Membership. New Members share life goals and co-define bite-sized action steps to reach these goals. From there, Members receive ~$80/month from people like you to both enable & reinforce these action steps, such as attending housing appointments, job trainings, or peer recovery groups. This financial support is catalyzed by social support—uplifting texts, calls, and connections from local “samaritans” (volunteers like yourself and people with lived experience).

Over time, the action steps enabled via financial & social support lead to life-changing outcomes.

SCF’s work is backed by national health and human service leaders, including UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Molina, Elevance, Centene, Humana, Techstars, Praxis Labs, Draper Richards Kaplan, CommonSpirit-Dignity, Acumen, and the Weingart Foundation.
