Excellence Made Possible

At its core, the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel is an international center of musical excellence for talented young artists, selected through a highly competitive process from around the world and attracted by one of the finest training programs, in a haven of peace, nature and concentration. Through long-term artist residences, the Music Chapel supports young artists at a decisive moment in their artistic lives, as they launch their careers, through companionship with renowned Masters in residence and regular concert opportunities in Belgium and beyond.

This advanced training is designed for emerging talents in piano, violin, viola, cello, chamber music and voice, selected through a highly competitive international process. The Music Chapel is supported by a wide artistic network: 70 Artists in residence representing more than 20 nationalities, 9 Masters in residence, numerous Guest Masters, and a community of over 550 alumni, many of whom pursue international careers as soloists, chamber musicians and educators.

Since its founding in 1939, the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel has only been able to fully pursue its mission thanks to the trust it received from many supporters. Today, less than 10% of the Music Chapel’s resources come from public subsidies, while more than 90% rely on private support. Patrons, families, foundations and other private partners have made possible what is a simple yet powerful idea: supporting artists also means supporting what they bring to the world – beauty in times of uncertainty, perseverance in the face of hardship, and peace through shared artistic experience.

To realize this ambition sustainably, the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel now seeks to build a broader circle of supporters beyond its borders, reflecting the global origins of its artists and the universal values it embodies. Joining its international community of donors means:

  • Contributing directly to the emergence of exceptional talent and the pursuit of artistic excellence.
  • Supporting highly gifted young musicians as they embark on their professional careers as soloists, chamber musicians and cultural ambassadors.
  • Ensuring the longevity of a cultural icon in Europe with a global outlook that stands for transmission, innovation, entrepreneurship and inclusion.

It is an opportunity to support excellence not as an abstract ideal, but as a lived, transformative experience.
