This August and September, we’re taking on personal running goals, but more importantly, we’re running for a cause that we deeply care about. Trisha is celebrating her birthday this month, and will be running her first half marathon on September 7. Den and Claudine will be running their second World Major Marathon on August 31 in Sydney. As we work to achieve these personal milestones, we want to make this journey more meaningful by dedicating our runs to a cause we care deeply about: helping stray and rescued animals in the Philippines through PAWS (Philippine Animal Welfare Society); an organization we truly admire. Growing up in Rizal, Den and Trisha’s family has always opened their home and hearts to stray animals. Today, their home continues to be a sanctuary for over 25 rescued cats and dogs, giving them safety, food, care, and love when no one else would. We believe every animal deserves a second chance. PAWS works tirelessly to make that happen through rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption programs even during natural disasters like the recent typhoon in the Philippines, when many animals were left vulnerable. WHY IT MATTERS Every peso raised goes toward: Shelter and food Medical care Spay/neuter programs Rescue operations Advocacy for animals who have suffered neglect or abuse If animals have ever touched your life the way they’ve touched ours, we invite you to be part of this journey.
