Since 2022, working to eliminate homelessness. Helping over 100 individuals and families a year find a safe place to live.
Oasis of Hope is a shelter AND a program for families and individuals to be safe while overcome housing barriers, find jobs and become self-reliant.
Our success, one person at a time, has helped just under 100 families a year find a safe and warm place to live. These families have found jobs, stability and great success and improvement to their emergency living situations, many in tents and cars. All have been literally homeless. Some have been forgotten and neglected by the systems of care. Our case managers work tirelessly to connect future opportunities for housing and income, local and regional resources to protect and assist our families for years to come.
We participate in state data collection and HUD best practices. While we are able to expand our outreach as our funding expands, sharing help to even more families across North Michigan.
Our dream is to retire our mortgage and hire more staff to work with our families. Eventually we would like to invest in the transitional housing for families to rent while they are becoming more stable.
All donations are tax deductible and support the food, care, warmth, clothing, supervision and supplies for the families that come to our shelter. Every life matters. Everyone deserves to be warm, fed and safe.

Everyone deserves to be Safe and Warm. Oasis of Hope House protects moms and kids living in their car, the forgotten man living in a tent, the lady running away from being abused, the impaired from being used as slaves, the forgotten widow or elderly from desperate actions or the young person who is now alone after watching their last relative die. All these stories are true just this year at Oasis of Hope House. These are the people that life has forgotten, but not forgotten by you. Your donation provides them a safe and warm home to stay while we work hard at connecting them with resources that will kick down the barriers they have faced to living in their own place, getting a job, finding resources they deserve that will give them a safe tomorrow. We have untangled bureaucracy to quickly and efficiently break the barriers set up for failure and turn them into stepping stones for a secure future. Restoring vital documents that were left behind, never existed or destroyed, also restores hope for benefits, home or a job. Our case managers are the very best and work tirelessly to help make a future for all who come to us. You can keep warm at night knowing you have done all you can to help others keep warm. You can eat knowing we will serve up a warm nutritious meal and make sure they have food all day and for the future. Your help relieves human suffering and provides hope and a future. This fundraiser will provide a hope and future to Oasis of Hope House Outreach for years to come! Every $100 helps one person find a home.
