New Hope Community Ministries is a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering low-income families in Haledon and Prospect Park, NJ. We believe in holistic transformation—providing food security, financial assistance, education, and supportive community programs that equip individuals to thrive.
Through our Food Pantry and The Harvest buying club, we address food insecurity by offering nutritious options at no cost or reduced prices. Our financial assistance programs help families navigate crises, while education and mentoring initiatives provide essential skills for long-term success. We also foster community connections through support groups, case management, and resource navigation.

Help Stock the 2026 School Supply Depot
$25 helps fill one backpack with core school supplies. $50 helps support two students with needed supplies. $100 helps stock the Depot with high-demand items like backpacks, binders, notebooks, folders, pencils, markers, tissues, wipes, and water bottles. $250 helps provide a stronger supply base for families shopping through New Hope’s Marketplace. Any amount helps local students start the school year prepared. The School Supply Depot gives local families access to affordable school supplies through New Hope’s Marketplace. Instead of handing out pre-packed backpacks, families are invited to shop for the supplies that best fit their children’s needs at dramatically reduced prices. This model preserves dignity, gives parents choice, and helps students begin the school year with confidence.
