Christmas Market

The Christmas Marketplace is New Hope’s dignity-based model that allows local parents to choose and purchase gifts for their children at greatly reduced prices. Instead of receiving a pre-selected toy, families step into a joyful, welcoming shopping experience where they can make their own choices and celebrate the season with pride. This year, New Hope is preparing to serve more than 100 parents representing about 250 children from our community. Registration just opened, and more than 70 families have already signed up. The need is real and growing. Through a new partnership with Tons of Toys, a trusted New Jersey toy store with locations in Wyckoff, Westwood, Madison, and Bernardsville, New Hope is able to offer high-quality gifts at family-friendly prices. But we need support to stock the Marketplace and ensure that every parent who attends has meaningful options to choose from. Your gift today helps us: Purchase toys directly through Tons of Toys Stock the Marketplace with gifts for infants through teenagers Keep prices affordable so parents can shop with dignity Serve every family who walks through our doors this season When you give to the Christmas Marketplace, you’re not just providing a toy. You’re giving a parent the chance to choose, to celebrate, and to experience the joy of giving to their own child. Thank you for helping make Christmas possible for local families.

The Marketplace: School Supply Depot

The School Supply Depot is part of New Hope’s Marketplace: a seasonal, dignity-centered shopping experience for families in our community. This year we are striving to serve at least 250 students. With over 1,800 school-aged children in Prospect Park and Haledon, and more than half of them facing economic hardship, the need is real. And New Hope is stepping into the gap. $25–$45 Equip a student Covers a full set of school supplies tailored to a child’s grade — from crayons to calculators. $100 Equip 2–3 students Covers full supplies for multiple children across different grade levels. $250 Stock a shelf Provides a full supply category (e.g., pencils and pens or notebooks) for the pop-up store. $500 Sponsor a classroom Equips 10+ students with the tools they need to start the year strong. $1,000 Empower a neighborhood Expands the reach of the School Supply Depot to serve more families with dignity and choice. Rather than receiving handouts, parents are invited to shop for backpacks and school supplies at dramatically reduced prices — empowering them to choose what’s best for their children while preserving pride and agency. Your gift helps us stock the shelves and expand the reach of this pop-up store, ensuring more kids start school confident, prepared, and proud.
